The food was very good and it is the first time we are around this area. Didn't expect much from this place but it was yummy. The noodles were really tasty. Everything seemed to have good flavor and they were perfectly indo-Chinese. But the worst part was service. We were a large group and had few requests. The guy got furious when we told him to get new plates and other requests. They never refilled water until we asked them to. Initially we asked for seats outside but as soon as we sat there we thought we made a mistake as it was too hot due to the sun and everyone started sweating even before the food came in. We requested to be placed inside if it was ok. Even though there was enough space inside, the guy replied very rudely saying "I guess someone from ur group asked to be seated out. Now I can't help u.. I'm sorry. U just have to sit here" . This was the worst part. I would give a zero for service and 4 for food.! read more

Came here with 5 other family members. Everyone ordered a different dish, mostly from the Indian sections. I chose the panam curry from the Thai section. While it was good, it was not great; however, I wouldn't expect great from a mostly Indian restaurant. All of the other dishes were delicious. We also ordered the regular naan which went very quickly. To note, they serve halal meats and have vegan and vegetarian dishes, if you are looking for that. I was impressed they served these options. Maybe I'm not aware of this place but I wasn't expecting an Indian restaurant in this neighborhood. It was a pleasant surprise to find a good Indian restaurant in this neighborhood. When we arrived it was pretty busy but Kailas was very welcoming and accommodating. He told us, although we are busy we are staffed to handle this crowd. The food arrived a little late but I'm not complaining, I'm on vacation plus the place was busy not a single seat was available by the time we settled down. Kailas gave me great food suggestions and it was yummy. We went for mostly the Indo-Chinese options and they were all great. We had ordered Drums of heaven, Samosa Chat, Hot n Sour Soup, Butter Chicken, Chicken Manchurian. Surprisingly they did not serve alcohol as they were in the middle of getting their license reissued I believe but folks are welcome to bring their own drinks. My family and I were stopping for a nights rest during our road trip and wanted to find a place to eat. It was 4th of July and we left many restaurants because of their waits. Finally we found Spice route who let us sit outside. At first we were little annoyed at the wait, but once we had our appetizers, we knew we made the right choice to come to this restaurant. The dumplings were nice and crispy balls filled with flavor. The spring roll was also quite tasty as well as the calamari being some of the best we've ever had. Our entrees were amazing. The Marsala dishes we had were very flavorful and well prepared, and the Thai noodle dish was excellent. We also got some naan bread to go with the meal and it was quite tasty. There was a Wait for all of this, but the staff was very nice and apologetic of the matter, and we came on one of their busiest nights of the year. The food is very flavorful and the service is great however the food is all very oily and you get a lot of curry/rice/noodles but very little "meat " in every dish no matter what you order. We enjoyed it. Have ordered a few times and we felt was good. The rice was very fluffy, liked the Tikka Masala and the butter chicken. Felt the Nan was good as well. Didn't care for the avocado appetizer, but the honey chicken was good. We only have ordered take out, but it looks really nice and the guys at the front have always been nice. Absolutely delicious Indo-Chinese restaurant (serving an Indian interpretation of Chinese food - using a lot of delicious Indian spices, etc.) The coriander and manchow (somewhat like hot and sour) soups were very tastefully prepared. The lotus stem was a nice vegetarian appetizer. The chicken Sheesh Kabab (minced chicken mixed with spices and made into a roll) was absolutely delicious - the chicken was so soft, it literally melted on touch. As for the main course (all vegetarian), the eight jewel fried rice was exceptional. The American chopsuey (sweet gravy on crispy noodles) was superb - order the crispy noodles separate from the gravy so the noodles don't get soggy. The kung bao potatoes and chili garlic noodles were great as well. It's hard to find a restaurant that gets almost everything right - from the food to the ambience to the service but spice route pleasantly surprised us and we cannot wait to come back here. I was very surprised by this place. As a new restaurant you expect some hiccups so I wasn't two surprised that they didn't have the full menu ready I mean it has only been open for a few days. we are our way to Niagara Falls trip and one of my friend recommended this restaurant. Welcoming Environments very clean place and Food was Excellent, very friendly stuff. I do recommend this place because it's really close to highway and they have a lunch special which is really good idea and they have a option of soup and main course. We had shrimp curry, chicken kebab and Hakka noodle which are very delicious. The owner that took my order lied to me about what was in their dish. He said it was white meat, but it was all dark meat. The food portion is very small for the price you are paying. Rice is not included in their combo. What? talk about screwing the customer. $15 dollars for 6 pieces of chicken, plus I have to pay for some rice. You got to be kidding this is such a ripoff!!! Walking in, it seemed like a cursory renovation of the old Pizza Hut that occupied that building before. Inside, once inside, I noticed that the decorations looked much better than I expected they would. There's a nice bar with flatscreen tvs, ~4 beers on tap with many more in bottles, and what seemed like a full liquor bar. (They didn't have Indian beer, which was a slight bummer). The menu was very extensive, covering pan-Asian to Indian (Thai included). There was a lot to choose from including naan bread, different types of rice (jasmine, basmati, etc.). Out of the four dishes we ordered (Tikka Masala, Pad Thai, Chili Chicken, and Dahl Makhani) there were 0 I would call even close to sub-par. The food was the perfect level of spice that each of us requested, the naan was cooked to perfection, and the spices were in perfect unison with the food. The staff was extremely friendly and made sure everything was satisfactory. We went to Spice Route for the first time tonight but I wasn't impressed. We ordered samosas and they came out cold & had to send them back. The second batch was better. Hot as they needed to be. The chicken in black bean sauce was very delicious. We also ordered the Veggie pad Thai it was very tasty and delicious however there was barely any Peanuts. Pad Thai is served with peanuts ours had 1. It seems as if there was only one server although there was 2 plus the owner. We went here cause many people said it was good. Maybe we went on a very busy day. Will have to try again some other time. read more

Ok third visit. A few things have changed. They no longer have small cubes of cheese or chicken in the tikka Marsala it is large pieces and defiantly more than before. Spent $80 for barely any food chicken tikka masala very low on meat mostly sauce. Very low amount of rice was not nearly enough for the two orders of chicken tika masala.
