The salads are brown round the edges and uninspiring, the curries are glutinous slop with gristle wallowing in them. Order three beers and you have just been cast in the role of resident alcoholic. The price though, is cheap. Completely and utterly rock-bottom cheap. The quiet and unassuming waiting staff (I'm guessing all members of the same family) and polite and helpful and totally charming. As such, it's an ideal place to end a night on the beers. You're not going to offend anyone, you won't be too much out of pocket and the food isn't going to have you on the Thunder-box the next morning. Food-wise, the side dishes are all great...I particularly like the Bombay Aloo, the Sag Paneer and the Onion Bhajis- delicious! I can also recommend the Vegetable Balti and Chicken Tikka Masala. The chef's specials are old favourites, the recommended dishes are old favourites and, in case you didn't spot them, the old favourites are list by section too. Sauces can tend to be quite rich and heavy - even on the vegetable dishes, and service is quiet and efficient.
