I don't throw around "hidden gem" lightly, but this place absolutely earns it. Tucked into Green Mountain, this spot somehow pulls off two completely different cuisines--and nails both. The Indian food is the real standout. Love the tiki masala and butter chicken of course. My wife loves the Sag with potato. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, like it actually came out of someone's home kitchen. The flavors are bold without being overwhelming, and every dish feels like it was made with intention. You can tell they care. And then there's the pizza... which honestly surprised me. It's not an afterthought at all. Fresh, loaded, and seriously filling--the kind of pizza where one slice actually satisfies you (which is rare these days). Somehow they make it all work together. But what really keeps me coming back is the atmosphere and the people. It's warm, relaxed, and just feels good to be in. The staff goes out of their way to be accommodating without making it feel forced. They're genuinely kind, attentive, and happy to have you there--which is becoming harder to find. We ordered a couple pizzas and wings. The Hawaiian (18" NY-style crust) was solid--good balance of sweet and savory, and the crust had that classic foldable New York feel. We also built our own 16" with meatballs, sausage, and house marinara. That one leaned a little more hearty and filling, and the toppings were generous without overwhelming the crust. The real standout though was the wings. These are not your typical pizza joint wings. The flavor in the batter was incredible--seriously seasoned and crispy, with a ton of depth. Honestly, the Colonel's 11 herbs and spices have nothing on these. Crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and just flat-out addictive. We stopped by this place after a nice hike in Genesee Park. I'd been eyeing the cultural crossover of curry and pizza--dipping pizza into curry like naan and didn't think we'd get to experience that in one restaurant. We ordered the lamb curry, chicken tikka masala, and the supreme pizza. The curries leaned on the creamier side, but the meats were well-cooked and tender. We chose the New York-style crust (because who doesn't love NYC pizza?), but the dough ended up being a bit too flat and broke easily. They were generous with the toppings, which made it difficult for the crust to hold everything without tearing. That said, the service was great, and the restaurant, including the bathroom, was clean and well-kept. Spice Hub + Fox Point Pizzeria opened not too long ago - it's maybe the third business to give this space a go. While we were super bummed to lose the latest pizza place there, we were, of course, happy to have another option in our local area. Nepalese food and family owned - yay. Walking in, the space is bright, tidy and well taken care of. Tables are set a little more formally but Spice Hub is still a casual eatery. I was immediately drawn to their outdoor space and took a few super cute pics out there, even though we choose a window booth inside. The staff were great - mostly young faces, but all very friendly and attentive. We were planning to take order dishes for dinner and to take with us for our lunch the next day - why not try out several things when it's a new place in town! We ordered Saag, Korma, and lamb curry - all seasoned to a "medium" heat (which was perfect!). We added jalepeno cheese naan. This family can cook and their recipes are legit. Everything was so very good. The saag was the best combination of earthy, creamy goodness and curry was rich, spicy and scrumptious. The naan was also delicious - warm, fluffy and super savory. We tried our best to put a dent in all the dishes and were happy to still have some to take home. Really fabulous first impression. We will def be back - and pricing was really affordable. read more

This is a new business Spice Hub that took over a beloved pizza spot in Lakewood . In Fox Point area to be exact. They're less than a month old. I ordered two dishes that I would definitely go back again but would rather try their other ones for sure. I love Saag and its earthiness and I chose lamb to make it even more so. The second dish was the Vindaloo with chicken . Both of them in medium heat. They got it right. Perfect! The service was polite and down to earth. Love it! They made minor changes to the decor and it's a lot more bright in there! The counter looks different now too. Get the Mango Lassi it's delicious n thick! Oh. And a patio! Food was overall good but was overpriced. The pizza does the job but is more of a flat bread. The daal curry was yummy but was a bit watery. The chicken tikka was good flavor wise but the texture was a bit strange. Maybe too much cream? The cheese naan was delicious. The quantity of rice was also a lot and overall good. Hidden Gem alert This is a new spot in Lakewood and it is worth a visit! Everything was so delicious. We got the meat lovers pizza which was unexpectedly on point. Crust was light and fresh, sauce was tangy and scrumptious, and all the ingredients were fresh. We got the boneless chicken wings which were yummy and cooked to perfection. We also had the Date Naan, which was warm, fluffy, and the perfect hint of sweet. And to top it all off, we had the Korma with Paneer which was perfection. They also offered us a complimentary sample of the chai tea and it was fire! And to top it all off, the prices were great and the services was excellent. This was the best vegan pizza! We got a 16" vegan pepperoni with olives, which was about 8 slices, and split it among 3 people. There's a lot seating inside and seating outside. It was one of the worst pizzas I've ever had to be honest. There was barely any sauce and cheese- just toppings. I think they stretched too far to try to accommodate both indian and pizza. The nicest staff and food is consistently good! Our kids eat pizza while we have the Indian (sag paneer, tikka masala or makhani with chicken). If you like spicy the spice levels here lean toward mild - we typically get medium at other Indian places and have to get hot here to get the same spice level. read more

Service was amazing. Very kind and caring wait staff made the night better than we expected. We were a little concerned about the Indian / Pizzeria concept which usually dilutes one of the concepts. We stayed with Indian and for an appetizer we enjoyed the samosa chaat then I had the Chicken Tikka Masala and my son had the Chicken Makhani. The samosa chaat was not what we expected as it was kinda like an open faced samosa but the flavors were excellent. The naan was pretty good but slightly overcooked on one side. My tikka masala was VERY creamy and I felt it needed some more curry for flavor. I love a creamy tikka masala but this one needed more flavor. Also, my son ordered his Makhani spicy level hot and there was a heavy flavor of cayenne. When the server asked about our meal, I gave him the same feedback and he said he'd share it with the chef. He seemed sincere that he wanted to make everything just right and because of the wonderful service I will be back to see if they make the necessary adjustments to the recipes. My husband and I decided to go here for dinner, as we love Indian food and were so excited to try a new place nearby. We were not disappointed. We ordered samosas, lamb and chicken tikka masala, and chai. We absolutely loved everything we had, and ordered naan bread to go with our leftovers. The wait staff were attentive and so nice! We can't wait to come back and try their pizza and other menu items. I know Green Mountain still feels Frontroom's absense, but I think Frontroom finally found a worthy successor. Service is very friendly at this Nepalese family owned restaurant. Meal starts with complimentary papar for the table. You can customize your spice level, but let me be very clear about this -- "extra hot" and whatever level they have beyond this is not for the faint of heart. I ordered aloo (potato) samosas and chicken 65 as appetizers. The samosas were perfect. Warm, soft and flaky. They were served with mint chutney and tamarind sauce. I had the chicken 65 in "extra hot" spice level and it lived up to the name. For the main course, chicken vindaloo with "hot" spice level, served with white rice and an order of butter naan. The chicken dishes were both very flavorful and very tender. Exactly what I need from my chicken. The butter naan was a perfect complement to the saucy vindaloo. The restaurant also serves pizza and is testing out a fusion style chicken tikka pizza. They gave me a few slices to go, which look/smell amazing, and I will try them at home. We want to love this place b/c it's in the neighborhood. Our food on Friday night was a disappointment, I hope their pizza is good. We noticed our Rice was dry, had no spices or oil/ghee, it was tasteless. Our lamb was so chewy, it was like eating goat (each bite was so chewy, grisly). Corriander's is much better. Both of our sauces (vindaloo and saag) were tasteless with no heat at all, no spice, tasted frozen and microwaved. No love in the preparation at all. This place is an absolute gem. My wife and I stopped in and had the samosas, chicken tikka masala, lamb tikka masala, and chai--and everything was incredible. The flavors reminded us of the kind of Indian food we've had in the UK, which is high praise. The rice was perfectly cooked, and the masala was so good we took the leftovers home and grabbed an order of garlic naan just to enjoy it again the next day.
