I chose Spice based on reviews however I would not recommend to anyone. Sure the food was good however the service was absolutely terrible. The lunch special is supposed to come with a small salad a spring roll or egg roll and the chosen entree. My entire party ordered the same thing-pad Thai with chicken, lemon dressing in the salad and a spring roll. We got our salads and our entrees. No one ever came to check on us and we were missing the spring rolls. The food was good (nothing special) but missing part of your meal is frustrating when you are given the check with the full amount. We mentioned the missing spring rolls and the wait staff acted like they didn't know what we were talking about. We told them no we couldn't take anything with us (we were from out of town and were going to driving several hours home.) They took our check back and left us sitting there for ten minutes. We decided not to wait any longer so we got up and went to the back counter to pay. They did nothing about the missing food and were not apologetic for making us sit there. I never ask to comp any part of a meal whether it is missing or not, I asked based on the fact that they didn't seem to care or want to fix the issue at hand. This was the first Thai restaurant I ever visited two years ago and to this day is still the best. I get the lunch special with pork pad thai, and an egg roll. The noodles are perfect and the overall dish is presentation is phenomenal. Something I never though would be as amazing as it is, is the salad with peanut sauce. Came here for lunch on a Wednesday around 12:30pm. It was pretty crowded but thankfully they were trying to turn tables around quickly. We were able to get a seat within 5 minutes. The service was great. Waiter dropped by to take our drink order and see if we were ready to order our entrees. I order the spicy basil with chicken and brown rice. I love that they offer a salad and egg roll during lunch. Everything I ordered was great. The portion for my lunch entree was huge and I packed it to go to enjoy for lunch the next day. We were busy catching up after the holidays so we weren't exactly ready to order. What disturbed me most, since I was sitting and facing the bar, was the way they made their drinks. I saw it all. A man sitting in the main dining area ordered two martinis. As the lady was making the drinks, She filled up glasses with ice water from a pitcher, and then added water into the martini glass. And touched up with the liquor and olive. At first I couldn't believe my eyes. But 15-20 mins later she made the second martini and added water to it. I'm pretty sure martinis should be straight up vodka or gin. Maybe even a touch of vermouth. But definitely not a 1/4 glass of water. So... Yea. Watered down drinks. No thanks! And to update: they were not chilling the glass. I'll start with the good. The fresh Spring rolls were good and the peanut sauce was delicious. I ordered my favorite Thai dish, the Panang Chicken, and my wife ordered hers, the Cashew Chicken. Our food came out quickly and the portion on both dishes were very generous. I ordered a 3 on the heat scale and it was just about what I expected. Let me now share why I gave 3 stars. Their were about eight people being served by two servers; we got the older server with the gotee. He was horrible. Acted as if he didn't want to be there. Very short with us. Never came back to check with us after our meal was served. Was watching Jeopardy on the TV by the bar the whole time we were eating. The only reason I tipped was because of the young man who brought us the check and asked if we needed more water. The food was decent, but not the flavor we've come to expect from our favorite type of food (for the first time ever, we had to ask for salt). We will not return. read more

Let me start by saying Spice is one of my favorite restaurants in Fort Worth. It has been a great addition to the Fort Worth cuisine by far. Came here last night with my boyfriend at around 7:30pm or so. The restaurant had several people but it was not overcrowded at all and we got seated right away. The waiter was nice and we ordered two Thai teas to start. I truly recommend these they are scrumptious! Not too sweet and not too creamy just right! For entrees we ordered our "usuals" My boyfriend ordered the pineapple curry with chicken and I ordered the teriyaki chicken . Both entrees come with a good portion of rice and the serving sizes are the right size. Plus we did not have to wait long at all! Which is great because we were both starving! We have never tried anything else because we love both of these entrees so much so I recommend the teriyaki chicken or pineapple curry! Although there were domestic beer choices available, I chose a Thai beer, Chang. Only after I ordered did I notice it was the brand being advertised throughout the restaurant. Regardless, I did enjoy its taste. It was a pleasant surprise when my beer was poured in a glass at the table. I was looking at the variety of entree choices. The description of the Pad Ped caught my eye. Although the scale for the other spicy dishes is 1 to 5, this one starts at 3. As I usually do with Thai dishes, I chose chicken as it does a great job absorbing the sauce's flavor. The Pad Ped had plenty of flavor. At Level 3, there was sufficient kick to satisfy most. Although there was just enough white rice to eat with the sauce, I would recommend an extra bowl if used to extinguish the fire in the mouth. The staff was very quick when it came to taking my order and give my beer. I couldn't say the same when it came to clear my table and give my check. Second favorite Thai place in DFW! My boyfriend found this restaurant on Yelp, and we tried it for an early dinner today. We arrived at 4pm and the five of us were quickly seated. There were only two other tables of people when we were seated, and the waitstaff was incredibly attentive. I ordered the Pad Thai at a spice level of 2...fabulous! There is enough on the plate to feed two people, as you will see in my photos, with a healthy portion of chicken and tofu. This place does NOT skimp on the meat or the tofu! My boyfriend had the Green Curry with brown rice, spicy level 4, and that was just as flavorful and plentiful as my dish. One of my boyfriends' sisters had the Drunken Noodles, spicy level 3, and she said it was terrific. I can't remember what the other two people ordered, but I have photos of all. We ended dinner with dessert, a sticky rice combo with mangoes, and I can't think of a better way to end a Thai meal. The next time we are in Ft. I love Thai food and have had the opportunity to have amazing culinary experiences at Thai restaurants in New York. I was looking forward to dining being that there were good reviews. The service was great and the staff was attentive. They were prompt with preparing and serving food. We ordered basil fried rice with chicken, siracha fried rice with beef and broccoli and drunken noodle with shrimp. The food was okay. I felt it was lacking in authentic flavor... I felt it was missing some spices. The siracha fried rice had more of a tangy ketchup taste then siracha. The food was all really dry. I think it really depends on taste buds. The tea was way too sweet, and the pad Thai was nothing to write home about. Spice tent was at the Friday on the Green event, so I thought I'd give the pad Thai and fried rice another shot like the manager suggested in my original Yelp review-bad idea! I had a little of both; that was my entire dinner that evening. Low and behold-4am I woke with excruciating abdominal pain. Long story short, I was diagnosed with food poisoning and was out of work for 4 days. Upon further research, I have come to find out this is not the only case of food poisoning attributed to Spice. It was lunch time so they had a one page menu to choose from to make ordering easy. And for the price of $9.95, the entree came with a salad and dressing of your choice, egg roll or spring roll, and white or brown rice. The wife and I ordered different entrees so we could sample from each other's plate of course! So... I ordered the L-8 Basil Sauce with chicken and a spice level of 3 (the options were 1-5). The wife ordered L-15 Thai Rice with shrimp and a spice level of 2. Mine was amazing! And the portion size was huge! It was so fresh and the veggies were big and crunchy! The sauce was perfect but my spice was too much!! Great way for me to drink three glasses of water though lol My wife reported hers was sooo awesome!! Gosh. What progress this place has made. Building still small and tight but the take-out customer service has certainly improved. Phones seem to always work great now and honestly, this has been the ONLY place I've trusted to prepare my food for pickup durning the COVID-19 pandemic. All staff has worn masks at all times LONG BEFORE masks were mandated. Huge thank you for this! I have become a loud promoter of your business now and many neighbors are on board now too. I have noticed that Spicy level #3 has inconsistencies in heat level which sort of bums me out but I still love this place. The lunch menu has lots of options and everything is $10. Each dish comes with rice (white or brown), egg roll or spring roll, and a little salad. Many of us couldn't even finish our lunches. Having driven by Spice a few times, we finally made a point of stopping by for dinner, especially after hearing it was under the same ownership as another favorite Thai place of ours, Thailicious. There was ample parking in the back and the restaurant was pretty full, but we were able to grab a table without much of a wait. I went ahead and ordered the Panang Curry and the Girlfriend went with the Spice Sampler. We were both very please with our dishes, this was my first time to have Panang Curry and almost every item featured on the sampler were great, especially the pot stickers and the crab rangoon. I ordered a delicious Chang (pronounced it "Chang" like a noob) Beer to finish it all off. So I think this will probably be our default Thai place on this part of town and it was a welcome departure from the restaurants we usually default to on the Magnolia strip. read more

So I decided to come back here again because I loved it so much the first time! However. This time was a different experience! This time was during a busy lunch service. We had to seat ourselves after waiting about 5 minutes of people walking back and forth even though there was a "please wait to be seated" sign in the doorway. After that, it took a while to be greeted which is understandable because they were pretty busy. We decided on something off the lunch menu and something off of the regular menu. We ordered the panang curry that came with a veggie spring roll which I loved! We ordered the Gai yang and som tum (Thai bbq chicken and papaya salad) which we were really excited about, off of the regular menu as well. I just have to say that the chicken was very dry before I drenched it in Thai chili sauce and the papaya salad was not good at all. We really didn't know what to expect with the papaya salad but we didn't expect it to be like this. It was basically was papaya drenched in a very sweet syrup. No other flavors were present besides sweet and a hint of sour. I would love to come back here again because I do enjoy the atmosphere and the service here. However.
