UPDATE: I was invited back for another class and wanted to go back to see if anything was different from my first experience. While I left with enough time, due to all the lights on the way, I wasn't arriving when I wanted, early. I jogged on my way in with one minute to spare and I was greeted and complimented on my leggings instead of being scolded to having arrived right on time. TIP: Always arrive early for your clas so you have more than enough time to find which bike you have been assigned. Since I don't know the layout within the studio, i.e. how the bikes are numbered, it did take me some time to find my bike and get started with my workout (that's on me). I loved the cycling portion, again, and did have the time to mention to my instructor that I had been in a car accident a few weeks previously that I am still healing from, low back/sacrum subluxation. She kept an eye on me and gave me suggestions if she knew specific movements would utilize that area. The yoga part flowed my better compared to my first experience. Maybe I was more rusty the first time than I believed or the instruction today helped me understand what was next and how to flow into it was better. Afterwards, the instructor asked how I was feeling to ensure I wasn't hurting, I wasn't. When I walked back into the front I was approached by their owner, Denese. I learned she was there specifically to speak with my based on my first experience. I am thoroughly impressed with how she sacrificed her Saturday to be there just to speak with me to get feedback. She is a lovely lady and cares about the people who come through her doors. That for me is a huge deal and I appreciate her time and thoughtfulness. I am so glad I gave Spenga a second chance as I feel like it was all in all a Five Star experience this time around. If you are looking for a workout and love spin, strength and yoga, this is an easy fit. Even if you don't like one part of the workout, as I did prior to ever trying it HERE (spin) they have a way to ensure you a great experience and great workout. They have won me over in that respect. Try them out!!! ------------------------ Just tried my first a spenga class and I am a fitness fanatic and am surely judging this harshly. When I arrived I was not greeted and after a few minutes and me refilling my water bottle, I was asked to sit and wait to get started. I arrived exactly at the time I was asked to. Going into it, I knew I would like the strength and yoga portion and was apprehensive for the spin part. I actually really enjoyed the spin portion and found the strength portion not pushing me hard enough. I love yoga and am not a stranger to that world and found that the yoga portion did not flow well due to the verbal instructions. Overall, I feel like I got a workout, but not a workout that I was looking for that would truly push me the way I am wanting. I may have considered returning for another go if their prices weren't so high. The studio was beautiful and immaculate as well as the air smelled of citrus. All in all, I think many would find themselves a solid workout here, however for me, I don't think it's my cup

    Before spenga and with Spenga!

AVOID. AVOID. AVOID!…read more Short version: Overpriced, very limited number of classes, frequently cancelled classes last minute, cramped space, undertrained coaches, and harassment/threats/fees when you try to quit. Was also repeatedly pushed to create positive reviews and social media content (which may explain some of the 5-star reviews here). Long version: I've done a lot of fitness boxing and really wanted to like this studio. I was one of the very first members at this location, joining even before the official grand opening. At the time, I was told by David, the manager, that even more classes would be added, specifically, that the M/W/F noon classes (the only weekday classes I could attend) would be expanded to every weekday, so I signed up for 8 class credits for $149 a month after a cheaper initial 3-month promotional price. However, after joining, the Monday noon class was changed to workout only, no boxing, which was not why I paid a premium to attend a boxing gym. And within my final 5 weeks, the remaining Wednesday/Friday noon classes were cancelled at least 3 times, once while I was driving to the class and did not find out until I arrived at a locked studio. In addition, there were only two classes TOTAL for existing members each weekend. With so few classes, it was impossible to use up all of my 8 monthly credits. Even when there were classes, one was handed over to a "trainee trainer" with no supervision, who did her best but was overwhelmed and unable to run the class while also trying to operate the music, lights, and screens. Not to mention that if you get a space on the back row, there is no room between you and the back wall, so you have to squeeze yourself to the side and hope to not get hit. In addition, I was asked twice to film a positive "testimonial" for the studio, and every time someone completed 10, 25, 50, etc. classes, they were pushed to take a photo after getting all gross and sweaty from class. I had to step in once when one guy repeatedly told them he didn't want to do it but they wouldn't take "no" for an answer. At this point, I contacted the studio to terminate my membership more than three weeks before my next monthly payment due date. When they charged me anyway, my credit card disputed it on the grounds that Rumble Boxing was not providing the services I agreed to when I signed my contract. This was when the harassment began. I received several texts and emails threatening to send my account to collections and immediately adding $50 worth of fees. Despite the repeated cancellations and never receiving the noon and weekend classes I was promised when I joined, due to the repeated threats, to end the matter I made a written agreement with the studio that I would have my credit card provider allow the original payment to go through and would pay $25 worth of fees via credit card. Both of these I did the next day. Two days later, despite me making payment as promised, Rumble Boxing - Sandy Springs charged me an additional $174. This was not how we had agreed to handle the matter, but I paid the $174 to end it and fortunately, it appears my credit card company has made sure only this payment went through. I also contacted the Rumble Boxing corporate office to express my frustration and as of nearly two months later have gotten no reply, so good luck trying to deal with this company at any of their locations. Overall, I am incredibly disappointed and frustrated with my experience with Rumble Boxing. You can see screenshots of several weeks of empty Friday/weekends with few or totally cancelled classes, as well as their collection threats in the photos section.

After some quick waiver signing & paperwork, I joined the 6:30p class where Matt was coaching. Matt was extremely attentive. He gave very specific cues and tailored his coaching based on the athlete's abilities. He remembered my name during the whole class, thanked me for dropping in, and made sure to tell me "Good Job" as well as a Good Bye. I am an experienced crossfitter, and I did appreciate that he watched my form and didn't just comment to make a comment. He was very purposeful without being over bearing. He gave me encouragement as the workout got tougher, and was paying attention enough to know my pace & to know how many more I could get in before the time cap. The workout was extremely challenging and definitely appropriate for all levels. There was a class warm up and some mobility work, which is always welcomed, especially after traveling & sitting all day. I found the amount of work (warmup, mobility, strength, WOD) to be extremely mindful of time & effectiveness. Things weren't just crammed in to fit in. The flow of the class was smooth and not over worked. I did purchase a FitAid & a Progenex Recovery packet and the check out process for that was fast. The facility was extremely clean and well maintained. The restrooms were clean, water was cold, rollers were available, lots of weights and 15kg bars, and there was lots of chalk available. Although I didn't use the showers, I was told there were 3. They use WODify and the WOD was posted on a large TV. There was a traditional whiteboard with LOTS of goals and you could tell it is a dynamic box. Members were conversing before and after which is always a good sign of a robust community. I would highly recommend this box for drop ins or even if you are new to Crossfit. I can see why they won the best of Atlanta award and I will definitely return when I am back in town.

It's very clean & organized It seems very secure. It is open 24 hours, only staffed 11-8. You get either a code or you can use your app to unlock the door. Everything seems very straightforward when it comes to using the rooms and machines. Cons- It's small. I'm 5 11 and I can't do a lot of the yoga stuff due to a lack of space. The walls are low & close, which is a little odd because in all of the informational videos they have way more than enough space. I definitely would not have three people in one room two is more than enough. When signing up it is a minimum 3 month plan. Also I did find it a little weird I went back & fourth with Hattie on the enrollment price. When I walked in the sign said $20 enrollment && I had spoken to someone on Saturday & asked her if the $20 enrollment included the mat & towel she told me yes. When it was time to sign up she said the $20 was over bc that was last month. I wasn't feeling to well so I was kind of out of it but I reminded her the sign outside literally says $20 enrollment. She said she would change it & did!! I also told her my cousin referred me, she told me they they don't do anything with referrals, as soon as I signed up and got the app they definitely do do something for referrals lol Also, as soon as I got home, I saw that the enrollment for the month is now 4$. So it was a little weird that she kept pushing the $99 enrollment when I was aware of the $20 and for the month of July they're doing a 4$ enrollment. So just be aware of any specials before you go in.

Larry and the other coaches are very knowledgeable as well as pleasant. I always feel like I'm given plenty of one-on-one attention while lifting. The coaches also do a good job paying attention during the WODs and giving improvements when needed, as well as cheering everyone on, of course. I've been a member here for about two months now, and I can say that the community here is great! Even the elite level athletes will go out of their way to make you feel welcome, and even help you with your form. Larry always introduces new students to the class (which I think is a very nice touch) I would definitely recommend this box for anyone looking. Most people have heard about or seen Crossfit and think it is not meant for them. This is actually a reason I stayed away from it for a while. CFEC has a staff of coaches that makes Crossfit very approachable and understandable. There are pretty phenomenal athletes as members, but there are also people who are just getting started (way out of shape like myself) and others in between. Safety and form are very important to the coaches; much more so than just lifting heavy weights, etc. One of my favorite things about the gym was the orientation and assessment by one of the owners, Jason. He walks you through the concept of Crossfit and assesses your ability to help you with a ramp up. On top of all of that, I do think Crossfit is one of the best workouts you can get - varied workouts, accountable environment, etc. It would be very hard for me to go back to LA Fitness (just cancelled my membership) and get on the treadmill or try to motivate myself on the free weights. If you have considered Crossfit or are trying to get your body to a place you'd like it to be, I would encourage at least a one month trial.
