Amazing class, clean studio, TOTALLY RECOMMEND! I took a quick 30 minute morning class with Bailey, and it was a real treat! From the music selections, to the flow of the class, to her sense of humor, I thoroughly enjoyed this cycling class! Bailey finished the class with a nice motivational button that really set my mood for the rest of the day. I especially appreciate how average stats can be shared during the workout so that we can collectively hit a goal, versus people being left behind. Love it! There was nice merch near the check-in desk, and the locker room was very clean, neat, and even had a little nook for making coffee or tea. I found the bathroom to be clean as well. CycleBar East Cobb is the best! All the instructors are super positive and drive you to do your best each time! When you go regularly, they really make you feel like a part of the family. It's such a wholesome and fun environment to get your workout in, and the classes are a great workout indeed! If you're not sure because of Covid, don't worry, they are very safe! They've reduced the number of bikes and spaced them out 6 feet or more, they check temperatures at the door, and they require masks on at all times except during the ride itself! Finally a boutique cycling studio in East Cobb! I love cycling for the quick calorie burn, an awesome sweat, a variable workout depending on how hard you push yourself, and the lower impact workout. CycleBar wins compared to other cycling studios are the following: 1. Super large water bottle with actual cold water from the machine 2. Snacks available post class not just banana and apples 3. Price is a little less than other boutique studios 4. Bikes feel more like a real road bike, clips feel good on the bike, Snazzy Schwinn Carbon Blue bikes, Shoes the non-cycle person can actually walk around in. Areas of improvement: 1. I miss the tech package at Flywheel. CycleBar is a lot going on for the average person to figure out what in the world is going on. When you simplify your ride to focus on RPM's and Resistance is makes it more manageable 2. Instructors are still figuring out the Tech and how to engage a class but there is a lot of potential 3. Music. I get this is a person choice for most but the music is not as trendy as I would like Overall CycleBar will do great at this location and I know will create a hardcore group of students. For the proximity of my home I will be back again and again. Look forward to trying each teacher to find the class I get most excited to go to. read more

FINALLY! Boutique cycling has come to East Cobb. I've been waiting for this since the day I moved a stone's throw away from Flywheel Buckhead and had to drive 30 minutes each way to Flywheel Alpharetta once it opened. As a huge Flywheel fan (and someone who has taken Soul Cycle when they came for the Target Pop Up Event in Atlanta), I was really interested to see how CycleBar compared to the two big spin studios. Overall, CycleBar met and exceeded my expectations. Pros: 1. I had a great instructor! I'll be honest, I was a little nervous when I saw CycleBar posting everywhere that there were open auditions for instructors. I feel like the other boutique spin studios have mostly been able to source instructors by visiting local gyms and poaching instructors, so I was worried the instructor would be some newbie. Not so! My instructor Tina was really motivating, really engaging and super nice. I'll even put it out there - her class was better than my first class at Flywheel Alpharetta (the Alpharetta instructor instructor eventually got better, but her first class was a bit hard to get through). 2. Love the free water bottle. It kept me hydrated through the class and I'm happy to see this studio be environmentally friendly. I saw repeat customers bring back their water bottle with name labels - great idea! 3. The lockers are easy to use and don't require you to bring your own lock. Hint: instructions on how to use the lockers are inside the locker. 4. The shoes are easy to walk in. The ones at Flywheel have a clip thing on the heel so it's super awkward to walk in. Note that clipping in is different and you might want to get some guidance the first time you're there. 5. Stats! There's stats on your bike and stats on the leaderboard. 6. The bikes are smooth and easy to adjust. 7. Classes are free until 4/16! 8. You get your stats emailed to you after the class in addition to the Spotify playlist which I think is super cool. 9. Cold towels are passed out after you get out of your class. AMAZING! There's also free snacks (bananas, oranges, granola bars, etc). Cons: 1. There are sanitizing wipes at the front of the studio and I saw that everyone was grabbing them to sanitize their bikes after the ride, so I did the same. But I will say this - I hate having to sanitize items after I workout at a studio (CycleBar isn't the only one - I've had to clean off mats at Pure Barre and Exhale too). First off, because I'm lazy and I feel like that's what the studio should be doing. But second off, because I don't think I (or anyone else) will do a good job of cleaning/sanitizing. Flywheel has an entire crew dedicated to sanitizing and cleaning after each class and in my many years of Flywheel, have always felt the bikes were clean and sanitized by the time I got on them. 2. The amount of people that were helping to set up was limited and I felt that my own set-up was rushed. Overall I knew how the bike should be set up, just because of my previous classes, but I saw several people just hop onto a bike without proper set up and I felt that could have been avoided by identifying the people who were new to cycling and helping them set up the bike the minute they walked through the door. Not setting your bike up properly means you might get injured, and I had hoped they would take this more seriously. 3. It was my first time there and I didn't really get much of a hello or a tour. I will say that the tablet sign up is easy to use, as I saw my name right away, but I much prefer having to log in like you do at Flywheel and having your shoes be in your specific bike number spot. If I wasn't familiar with the spin studio scene, I would be totally intimidated without someone to walk me through everything. Despite my three cons, I loved CycleBar and would go back. I already have a membership somewhere else, but I would come back here for spin classes with my local friends. I hope they fix some of the cons (hire a cleaning crew! who helps with setting up bikes! and have more people in the front showing people around!) but I would go back even if they didn't. So happy they have opened this location. East Cobb has needed a boutique spin studio for a while now! read more

I'm an avid CycleBar rider with hundreds of rides at CycleBar franchises around the country and this is the only location that I do not recommend. On my second visit to this location with another regular CycleBar rider from out of town, the front desk employee audibly groaned at us when we introduced ourselves because we had not signed up for the class online ahead of time, and told us we had to register on our phones. We informed the front desk worker that each time we've ridden at CycleBar studios across America that the front desk staffs were able to easily pull us in and register us in person. She insisted she could do nothing and that we had to create new accounts just for this location. Knowing that she was incorrect from having ridden at 11 different CycleBar studios (7 for me, 4 for him) and having observed fellow riders with serious account issues from creating duplicate rider accounts, we asked her to try. Upon the employee growing more annoyed and using an unprofessional tone to again instruct us to create new accounts online we bid her a nice day and left. We won't ride here again. There are two other CycleBar locations within 20 minutes and we recommend other riders choose one of those over East Cobb. read more

Wow. Awesome new addition to East Cobb. Premium Indoor Cycling. Better than FlyWheel and SoulCycle in that they don't charge for all the small stuff (water bottle, shoe rental, towel, shower essentials). Awesome instructors that encourage and push you combined with great music. Great for beginners and experienced cyclists a like. I do agree with previous post that the lockers can be slightly confusing if you don't use the directions on the inside of the locker. The cold towels at the end of class are a god send. Before I jump into my car to head home, I have an email with my stats, I compare against previous rides, and I have access to the playlist if there was a new song that I need to add to my Spotify list. I took my high school son who was determined to be #1 on the leader and succeeded - stats are a small part of class and displayed a few times but not constantly, but motivating for guys and I'm sure a few women. I think this will be a regular event for my family including my middle school daughter! Thanks for bring a new and exciting exercise concept to East Cobb. read more

Love this location! I'm visiting from out of town and found this cycle bar by accident. Stopped and and they were very accommodating getting me set up. I have an injury that they were very helpful with. Took my first ride ever with Louisa and it was awesome!! I was welcomed very warmly and made to feel at home. Great studio! Great class! Great experience! I visited CB for the first time last week with my daughter and absolutely loved it! The studio is clean and inviting, check in was efficient and easy, shoes are provided, and the lockers are spacious. The class was structured with a good mix of cycle techniques, upbeat music, a motivating instructor (Thanks Diamond!) and the bikes are smooth and sturdy. The owner Lee was friendly, helpful and took time to make us feel welcomed and answered all of our questions. I was happy to receive my stats via email at the conclusion of class. I 'discovered' East Cobb CycleBar by seeing the cover story in the East Cobber magazine! Typically, I recycle the magazine but I noticed two female business owners so I decided to read more. So glad I did! I am new to spinning/cycling and I was instantly hooked! First off, it's an exclusive, intimate setting which makes you feel instantly comfortable as opposed to those vast, intimidating musclehead, 'big box' gyms. The two owners, Lee and Kirsten, as well as Kathy, the studio manager, and Taylor, were very welcoming and equipped with all the answers to all my questions! I tried the free 30-minute intro class with Tina and knew just a few minutes in, that this will be my new favorite thing. There is an offer for a next step 'free rookie ride' which was much appreciated to get a full class experience. There are a number of 'packages' you can purchase, and so far, I feel it's been a good 'bang for the buck'. I've been athletic all my life with team and individual sports but I've never SWEATED as much as I do rockin' my ride at CycleBar!. An instantaneous endorphin rush! I enjoyed the 'community feeling' of the studio. Riders hang out after a class to chit-chat, particularly after the 5:30 Friday Happy Hour ride (complete with snacks, wine/beer and soft drinks!). I enjoy the theme rides, especially the recent Beatlemania ride. I am also struck at the generosity the studio has by hosting charity rides and 'giving back' to all kinds of organizations. If you are personally involved with a charity, contact the owners to see about setting something up to benefit your charity. The biz owners are also doing a lot of community marketing and P.R. with local businesses which is a great way to get their name out and partner with other East Cobb business. As a marketing person myself, I appreciate that! The everyday perks are great: cold, wet towels after a ride; HUGE water bottles and other free swag; snacks, fruit, chilled & room temp H20; clean, white towel at your bike; all the toiletry items a girl could need in the very clean showers & restrooms; easy online check-in; 'loaner' shoes; and the list goes on! The CycleStudio is hi-tech without being overwhelming. Great lighting, acceptable temperature; ceiling fans, big screen 'leaderboards' and cool, easy-to-use Schwinn Carbon Blue bikes. Takes some technique to learn how to 'clip in' but after 6 classes or so, I don't even think about it! (I also watched a YouTube video for addtl. hints!). When you are new, an instructor or staff will orient you to the bike, the individual settings, clipping in, etc.so you are comfortable to begin riding. I've taken classes from several instructors. I'll put it right out there: my faves are Kafi and Victor! Kafi is one of the best instructors I have ever had for any kind of fitness or activity training. She has an incredible, positive attitude, spirit and energy that is totally contagious! As you can imagine, there are all shapes, sizes, genders, experience levels, etc. in a spin class and she makes everyone feel included. Being able to teach & motivate is a very special skill and not everyone in the fitness industry has it. Kafi does! She is an example of a strong woman -- both inside & out -- and is an excellent role model for both men and women alike. And Victor?! He will kick your butt! Victor is also a personal trainer and has that great coaching ability that I respond to. I like his countdowns, timing and high energy. He knows how to push you and get results, while motivating you to want to do more and push yourself just a little harder than you would without his instruction. I really like his playlists and when you leave his class, you know you did your best! As you can see, CycleBar has been a great addition to my life the past couple of months! The owners, Lee and Kirsten, have added a lot to the East Cobb community with their business. I am a huge advocate and hope to bring more friends to experience East Cobb CycleBar. I just joined CycleBar 5 days ago and absolutely love it so far! The instructors and staff are warm and treat you like family. The classes are challenging, but tons of fun!! They have great hours, so it's easy to catch a class after work/school if needed. After just three classes, I feel great! I started coming during their soft opening in April of last year and quickly became addicted. For someone who hates to exercise, I found something that I love doing. The room is dark and cold and the music is great! All of the instructors are so positive and motivating and make it fun. Literally the best place in east Cobb to work out! I thought i wasn't a "gym" person by apparently just hadn't found the right gym for me. Every class is like a nonstop party with awesome music and inspiring instructors. It's impeccably clean and the staff is so always sweet and welcoming!
