" I got a quarter tank of gas, in my new e-class. Aint got no job, but I stay fly"…read more The great Mannie Fresh uttered that line many years ago and it had a profound effect on me. Sure I have a job and a full tank of gas, but that isn't what DJ Mannie Fresh..Fres..eh..ek..eh Fresh meant. What Mannie was trying to say is that one of the most important things in life is your appearance. I may not have a two lane bowling alley up in my truck, but I do have style (What? Plaid is a style). So what in the world does that have to do with a Dillard's in Biloxi, MS? Just the other day I was bumping Big Tymers in my ride and heard this song. I was near the mall and it reminded me that I needed some new outfits. Dillard's to the rescue. This location is attached to a traditional walk around inside mall. Parking is easy since this is one of the anchor stores. There are several lots and none were particularly full. Inside the store had all of the traditional Dillard's things you already know about. I headed straight for the men's clothing. I was able to try on a bunch of stuff and find some jeans and plaid shirts that I purchased. I could have probably found clothes for less at other stores, but I was looking for a specific brand of jeans and they had them here. Check out was relatively painless and the cashier was friendly and professional. If you need to stay fly, check out Dillard's.

Belk, Gulfport, Mississippi - A Must-See for Socialists, Sociologists, Not Shoppers…read more If you're a tourist--or a local with a strong stomach--and ever wondered what it looks like when a national retail chain is clinging to survival like a cat on a screen door, then do yourself a favor: go to Belk in Gulfport, Mississippi. This store is either circling the drain or conducting a masterclass in how not to run a retail operation. The experience? Imagine a time capsule of corporate desperation: oddball marketing gimmicks, sales that make no sense, and a rewards system that might require a three-hour phone call and a degree in forensic accounting to decipher. I'm convinced they've turned "customer service" into an endurance sport. As a long-time Belk account holder, I'm not here to trash anyone--I'm simply documenting what should be considered a public service field trip. If there were Nobel Peace Prizes for keeping your cool in a chaotic retail environment, I think this review alone would qualify me as a finalist. And in case you're wondering, I won't be accused of defamation. I was encouraged--practically begged--by Belk to close my account, and after this experience, I now understand why. You're welcome, America.

Ordered luggage online and received one piece that was not in a box and obviously been used. Tape…read moreand labels all over the case and paint scratched off in several places. Required to mail the damaged piece in , not allowed to drop off in the store. Still waiting for replacement. Called support and they said it was not a priority to ship replacement items. They did verify that the return had been received but could not tell me when the replacement would be shipped. I have had better service from overseas companies. This is not the store it use to be.

The employees here are great!…read more I hate wearing pants. No, I'm not some perv who runs around yelling woo and terrifying old ladies. I mean that I would rather wear shorts and live the galoot life 24/7. But sometimes it actually gets cold or there are some occasions where you'll get judged if you show up in shorts. So since it was cold and my old pair of jeans was pretty worn out, I need a new pair. JC Penny to the rescue. Because I am a major rando I decided that the best time to get pants would be around *:30. Of course JC Penny closes at 9 so I had to haul ass (without breaking the speed limit) to get here on time. I pulled up around 8:45, rushed in, found a pair, tried them on and ran to the check out counter. It was only then that I realized they were open till midnight for the holidays. Awesome. The employees here were happy and helpful despite the holiday rush and extended store hours. Oftentimes you encounter some disgruntled folks in retail around the holidays, but this crew was great. The next time I need pants or maybe another plaid shirt I will be sure and head to this JC Penny. If you need clothes and are in the area, this is where you should shop.

So creeped out I had to make an account to write a review. I went shopping for a bathing suit and…read moresome shorts. As I was walking around, I noticed this guy within my vicinity. He was in a regular green tshirt and didn't have anything to indicate that he worked there. He was on the phone so I thought he was waiting for someone. I bought about 8 pieces of clothing into the fitting room. After I closed the door, I heard a male voice. I thought maybe I was being paranoid and it's coming from outside the fitting room. As I went out of the fitting room, he also walked out of one of the room. I thought it was weird he was in a women fitting room, but whatever. I just want to buy the swimsuit and get out. As I was putting the clothes I didn't tried on back, he said I should put them back on the rack. So I wasn't paranoid. He had been following me the whole time! That's when I saw a badge on his belt. Maybe he was a security guard? I didn't ask. But it's creepy that a male security guard follow a female customer into the dressing room. Plus, there was no one managing the dressing room. I didn't see any rack at the door. Since I didn't try the clothes on, I thought i was being nice by putting them back. But after he approached me, it dawned on me that he thought I might be stealing from them, which is pretty ridiculous since I didn't have any bag. Where was I going to the put my stolen merchandise? Plus it's a $10 swimsuit on CLEARANCE! Why would I steal from the clearance section? The whole thing was creepy and maddening. I returned everything and walked out of there real fast. Will definitely avoid this store in the future. If you shop here, just be careful when you go into the fitting room.
