My husband was looking for new work shoes last night. We went to Ross and Marshalls, having no luck at all at either place. I mentioned this place, thinking we could at least check them out. For some reason I was sure we were going to walk in to find off-brand shoes. Not the case at all! They have TONS of shoes for men, women, and children. Dress shoes, tennis shoes, sandals, all of that and more. And no knockoff brands at all! At least none that I saw. My husband ended up getting a pair of Rockport dress shoes that were originally priced at $140 for $40. Such a good deal! Now that's not to say that everything in there is in lower in price than you'd find at department store, etc. That was just good luck on his part. I actually left so frustrated because they have TONS of Chacos...and all of them in my size. Why was this frustrating? It's frustrating because I bought a pair T the Flip Flop shop on the mall a few weeks back. Their selection in my size (8) was incredibly limited. Like down to a couple of pair. I should have walked out and looked elsewhere, but I honestly hadn't seen Chacos anywhere else so I thought I had scored big time by finding the ones there. Little did I know there was a freakin' to ton choose from right down the street from me. And some were on sale!!! Bahhhh!!!! Anyway, good to know for the future. Besides shoes they have t-shirts and purses, some jewelry. The store is large and very well stocked. We only encountered one employee as we were checking out, and she was friendly. If you check in on Yelp there is a coupon! Even more incentive to stop by!

Full disclosure, I used to work for Kohl's, in a different store in a completely different state. I…read moreknow what their policies and procedures are and I know how things generally work in the company. That being said, this is such a sorry excuse for a Kohl's. It's a relatively small store, but every time I've been in, the store has been a mess... Especially in the misses department, it seems like nothing is organized. It gets very frustrating, but I do understand that they might not have the hours to get the floor recovered 100% all the time. My main issue with this store is the staff. It's rare to see an associate on the sales floor at all in this store, and they usually seem to have a lack of cashiers available. More importantly, almost any employee I've interacted with, usually at the register or at customer service, has been unfriendly and unhelpful. It's pretty off putting and a huge reason why I dislike going into this particular Kohl's. The only reasons I've given this store two stars instead of one is because they recently remodeled their cosmetics and fragrance area and it is beautiful. Also, I typically find what I need in the store, so inventory isn't an issue.

I do not know how long this store has been open but it has recently opened in the D'Iberville shopping center in the promenade north of I-10. Yelp asked if they have EV charging stations. This store is not as big as the other stores around the country. With that being said, it boasts a decent selection of goods. Who knows, you might find a good deal or a style you are looking for? I've visited Plato's Closet with my 10-year-old son, and on two separate occasions he told me he felt uncomfortable. The first time was because there was a topless mannequin with defined nipples displayed in the store. As a parent, I appreciate businesses that create an environment where families can shop comfortably together. I understand Plato's Closet caters to teens and young adults, and I respect everyone's personal style. However, I also believe there's a balance that can be maintained in a retail setting that welcomes customers of all ages. I hope management will consider how store displays and dress expectations affect the experience of families who choose to shop there.

WARNING: Hissy Boutique Sent Wrong Item and Refuses Full Refund…read more I ordered an olive yellow cardigan but received a completely different item: a white sweater with a fur trim hood. This was the company's mistake, yet Hissy Boutique has refused to issue a full refund without me paying for their error. Their proposed solutions were: * A mere 15% refund, expecting me to keep the unwanted item. * An exchange requiring me to pay a $15 exchange fee for them to fix their own error. * A full refund only if I pay the return shipping to their warehouse in Shenzhen, China, which they estimate at $40. It is unacceptable to charge the customer to fix a company's mistake. I caution other US shoppers about these poor business practices. I am filing a claim with my credit card company.
