History

Established in 2002.

One Spring morning in 2002, while driving to my corporate job, a FOR LEASE sign caught my eye. Six weeks later Gabrielle's, named after my daughter, opened on the main street of the town I grew up in. Eight months later, thanks to great support of the community, Gabrielle's expanded, doubling our retail space to 1200 sq ft. In 2005, Hurricane Katrina completely washed away the building, but that did not stop us! Gabrielle's reopened it's doors 20 miles East in Biloxi, MS, where we now call our beautiful 2,800 sq ft store, home. We strive daily to connect women across multiple generations through fashion trends and unique experiences. Starting a small business is not an easy task, but I believe in opportunity and perseverance. I strongly believe it is a community that makes a small business successful. Meet the Business Owner: Wendy F.

Wendy Figer, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Gabrielle's started the women's boutique over 18 years ago in Long Beach, Mississippi. She has a tireless passion for a curated customer experience with a focus on setting and leading trends for her loyal customers across generations. The, now Biloxi, business thrives on her ability to identify and buy in advance of the market through a unique combination of southern meets west style. As an involved leader in the Gulf Coast community, Wendy gives back through her creation of Gabrielle's Trendsetters. The leadership development organization focuses on aspiring young women in their junior/senior year of neighboring high schools looking to grow and realize their full potential. Wendy aspires to enjoy everything built together with her husband and experiencing all that life has to offer. Experiences are a core family value, and she serves the role of CFEO, or Chief Family Experience Officer.
