Of course it's a coin laundromat, but no need to worry if you don't have coin & don't make a trip to your bank to buy a roll of quarters. They have a very spiffy change machine that never rejects one of your crumbled up dollar bills. It never runs out of quarters & it's never out of service. If you are anything like me, who rarely carry cash. No worries, the machines accept your debit & credit cards. Their machines are second to none & you won't be waiting on an available machine regardless of the day or the time. Now for my confusion. They have washing machines that will accommodate 30+ pounds of laundry. I thought to myself, who in the world has 30lbs of dirty laundry & who waits until they have 30+ lbs of dirty laundry before they choose to do their laundry. Apparently many people do. I saw women wheeling their enormous amounts of laundry in their children's wagons. Then I was amazed with these powerhouse women & sometimes men. They are friendly & they are helpful. Who needs help at the laundromat? Me. Possibly anyone who's never been to a laundromat. This place is very clean & so are the restrooms. There are plenty of fast food joints, a Dollar Tree & Kroger all in the same strip mall. They have a TV, tables & chairs that are all very clean. I almost forgot to mention that if you are a newby & don't even think about bringing your own laundry basket do not worry. They have clean, heavy duty laundry carts on wheels so that you can transfer your clean laundry from the washer to the dryer without worrying about dropping it on the floor, but if you do accidentally drop something you don't have to worry. Even the floors are continually cleaned. How do I know this? I accidentally spilled my laundry detergent. As I stepped aside to get some of their provided paper towels, they were on the spot cleaning my spill before I could. Don't worry about bringing your children with you or worrying about someone stealing your clothes. It's safe. It's like a village that takes care of not only themselves, but also their neighbors. To finish my story, I got a new washer/dryer set, but I thought to myself that I will be back without sadness or confusion. I have a King size bed & a king size dog that sleeps in my bed. I have king size comforters that will probably do better in a commercial laundry washer & dryer. I also, for the first time, bought a 8x11' area rug that's machine washable. Remember that king size dog that I mentioned? He's a 100lb Golden Doodle named Oscar. He's a big boy with big muddy paws & I'll eventually be bringing my new washable area rug to the Speedy Wash Coin Laundry to use one of their 30lb capacity washers. Don't quote me, but I'm pretty sure they also have 50lb capacity commercial washers too. Perhaps that's the one I'll use. Does anyone have a wagon that I could borrow? Don't don't forget The Speedy Wash Coin Laundry is a community & I have no doubt that someone would actually let me borrow theirs.

The washers and dryers were adequately working. They have washer and dryer sizes to accommodate all laundry loads. I washed 4 loads including 2 covers and a large comforter for approximately $25. Unfortunately, the staff was not very attentive or professional on Sunday, May 17th. I had a few questions and he was outside on his cell having a conversation with someone on speaker phone. I asked a question and he rudely told me to "wait a minute". Finally, he showed me how to pay for a card to use in the equipment. There were also a few minor leaks from the shafts going across the ceiling. They were leaking into small containers catching the water dripping. That looked as if it needed to be repaired immediately. All in in all, I would give it a 7 out of 10. The music was great! The oldies station plays while you wait. They also have refreshments for purchase. I would return. Hopefully, the minor inconveniences will be addressed/repaired prior to my return.

Best Feature: You can wash clothes. Worst Feature: dirty, a…read morefew broken machines, not impressed. I have to confess - I've never really had to go to a laundromat before. I relied on either family or the general apt building community washer/dryers to do the trick, and they have. In fact, I found quickly after going here that I was one lucky duck for having a washer/dryer in my former apt building. Early in October of 2010, my boyfriend and I moved to a new apartment which promised us available washer/dryer. Unfortunately they took a while to make good on their word, so we had to use backup methods for laundry for a while. After some research (aka Google), we headed to a nearby laundromat to do a few loads of laundry. Plain and simple, I did not enjoy doing my laundry here. I'm not sure how this fares compared to other laundromats, but I was not ecstatic about this location. When we entered, we saw a variety of washers. Some were clearly old and defunct, but some were bigger and kept in better shape. As we began to figure out the wash, some kind patrons informed us that the washer we were about to put money in did not work. TIP: Tape on the washer/dryer means it does not work. Unfortunately not all broken machines have tape on them, so it's a total gamble. We were saved by this nice tip from other customers. A few people came in and out to do laundry while we were there. The biggest machines in the center of the room are the best ones to use for washing; the dryers are hit-and-miss in terms of functional units. The entire place was a bit grungy and not very well kept. A man came in while we were there to buy some detergent - he put his money in the dispenser on the wall and found it was not working. He had no way to report this issue and get his money back, so we loaned him some. I was glad we'd brought supplies, as it's apparent that this place steals many a poor unknowing patron's money. I will not be likely to visit here again unless absolutely necessary - and I'll be sure to try out other locations before returning here.

My dryer broke down a few months ago , and I started going to speedy coin laundry mat in Latonia…read more That was a big mistake. I found myself cleaning every time I went in that place. There was stuff everywhere. The floors were filthy. It looks like it's never been cleaned underneath their sinks, I wouldn't use their bathrooms, I would go outside first, it's just disgusting so I decided that I would email the company instead of posting a nasty review about them to see if I could get anything accomplished. Well, needless to say I did not I even offered to work there, he said he has 24 hour workers, which I've never seen I've seen a girl out there, sleeping a lot of times but nobody cleaning, I asked her if she worked there, she told me no, but they say they're clean. And all it's false advertisement. But people have to care about the place they live, pick yourself up that you drop on the floor if you spill something wipe it up, I mean, come on, people get a little bit of pride in yourself and your community and actually makes me sick to think that this is how Latonia has turned out.\n But the owner reassured me that on his part, he would make sure that the stuff was clean. The floors and everything because they're not they're disgusting. The horses aren't wiped down the floors aren't clean, there's stuff everywhere underneath the sinks, is mold and mildew. I can't imagine what's in those washing dryers. And a lot of people don't have a car or any other way of going anywhere else, but there 'cause it's so close. So I think that the owners should make sure that their facility is as clean as they can keep it, he reassured me that it was and would be so I went there the other night and this is what I found I'm posting pictures, and I'm not sure what's going to let me close my video or not because I think it's too long but I've tried cutting it and I can't cut it without Missing the big place of it. So if you go there to wash your clothes just know that you've been warned. I would not wash nothing there. I would not dry nothing there. That was going to go in my house on my back or my body or my bed, anything?. I hope that the chooses see this as constructive criticism and fix the place up, you know, at least get the floors, get the mold and mildew away or that the people find another place to go. Thanks for listening.

Despite some so-so reviews, I chose Super Laundry (3545 Reading Rd.) due to its proximity to my home. In a nutshell, my experience was benign...but that's really a good thing because we are talking about doing laundry. Contrary to some other reviews, the attendant was extremely pleasant and helpful. She advised me as to what size machine I should use (thereby saving me a little money) and exchanged my cash for a laundry card. Gone are the coin-operated machines that often Jammed AFTER taking my last quarter!! The facility is clean. There are plastic couches on which to sit, televisions for entertainment, a vending machine for snacks. Better equipped than the laundromats of yesteryear whose machines stole my quarters. According to some other reviews [whose sources I have not verified], the price for a load of laundry is, in part, dictated by the daily cost of water and electricity . I'm not sure how that rate is determined, but on October 11, 2023 one load of laundry in a #6 machine cost me $7.23. The attendant told me that a dryer would cost approximately $15...but she did not know that I was raised by a long line of frugal line dryers. At any rate, those prices seem expensive to me, but I truly do not know the cost of running a #6 machine. Maybe $7.23 is a deal? How do families who do ALL OF THEIR LAUNDRY at the laundromat afford it?? Keep the poor poor??? So many questions spinning around as my bath mats got their scrubbing. Another Yelper mentioned that Super Laundry is not in "the best area," but it is unclear to me if he was at the 3545 Reading Rd location. Here's my take---it's in a new-ish strip mall in Avondale with a wide-open parking lot and distinct lack of dark alleys and bogey men. On the night of my visit, there were at least three families with young children, several couples, a few other singletons, three races represented, all of us just doing our laundry. Totally benign.
