Paul sevice man came after scheduled call from operator.Did get a call prior to say he was on way. Note: 85.OO cash up front from him to walk into door. He tells me he's been doing this work for 30 years. Washing machine would not go into spin cycle. He saw problem, quickly change part. Ge also noted that the plug had a worn , then broken. Lead. He required a new cord with plug ant taped the joint closed. The unit is now working. I paid the 85.00 company fee in cash up front. It was deducted from total of which I paid by check as credit card is a 4 % additional fee . Total includes tax. I felt it a worthwhile expense and as noted the washing machine now works. read more

DO NOT USE this company. They have no idea how to run a business. Their customer service sucks. They are not professional. They did work on my refrigerator. They replaced the relay and later that day it stopped working. I called to let him know, he returned 2 days later. And his response was the compressor was too old to support the newly replaced relay. If this is your specialty which is why they are called then why, did he do the work in the first place without letting me know what my other options are? He said he would give me a partial refund which took 4 phone calls and 2 1/2 months to receive which was less than what was expected. They give you the attitude when asked what's going on with the refund. I highly do not recommend them. The repairman is aggressive and nasty. No one knows crap in the office. July 3,2022 waited over 8 hours for a Ryan of Suffolk County to show up in a SUV car with no tools and no clue what was wrong with my Refrigerator but knew the cost of the repair would be $450.00 without testing anything in the refrigerator. Since he had no parts for a basic GE unit he asked for a $200.00 deposit and said we will get back to us the next day. After waiting 3 days with no call back I cancelled my order and asked for my $75.00 deposit back. I confirmed a $125.00 home visit for 5 min overview with no tools. Today is July 15th still no returned deposit. The job from a professional repair person cost my family $250.00. He showed up tested the equipment had the part and completed the job in 30 min. We called Speedy Appliance Service to check our dishwasher which had stopped functioning. Paul, the repairman, responded to the call. Before he touched the dishwasher he collected $125 in cash, as per company policy. After removing the dishwasher from its location and rocking it back and forth, he determined there was a leak and that the machine had stopped working because the sensor detected the leak and prevented the dishwasher from operating. (I had already read this online...) This is a good feature meant to prevent water damage. It worked because we had not detected water anywhere prior to Paul's visit. Paul gave us the option to fix the machine. However, due to the fact that the parts took 5-7 days to arrive and the exorbitant cost of fixing the dishwasher, we decided to buy a new machine - it would arrive sooner and cost a little more than fixing the current model. Paul mentioned he would shut off the water and gave us instructions to avoid using the dishwasher, which we did, and he left. A few hours later a puddle of water formed on the opposite side of the island from the dishwasher. I thought it might be a little residual water since Paul had pulled out the dishwasher and tilted it back and forth. I dried the area and went about my day. The next day I found a large, wet, brown area in the ceiling directly below the dishwasher. I called the company to ask if someone could return to make sure everything was indeed shut off and prevent further leaking. They connected me with Paul who was immediately defensive. Even before I had a chance to kindly ask if he could swing by to give it a quick look and see if something might have been overlooked. Maybe an honest mistake? Impossible. He was incredibly defensive, combative, and condescending. I tried to explain that I wasn't criticizing his work, but rather asking if he could take another look to make sure we didn't incur additional leaking. (Remember: there was absolutely no leaking prior to this visit. The dishwasher simply stopped working.) I decided to end the call with Paul and called the company. It was still during the hours of operation, but they did not answer the telephone. I assume it was because they recognized my number. (They knew who I was when I called previously, due to caller ID.) I called back and left a message with the manager's voicemail, but my call was never returned. Truly bad service. I wasn't trying to complain or receive a refund. I simply wanted to ask if someone could take another look at the area because I had a leak after their visit. They refused. DO NOT call this company. They are difficult to work work with, provide questionable service, and do not take responsibility for their mistakes. Have a high end sub zero refrigerator that required service. Over the phone they told me a main board was gone. Ok I am not going to go out and replace this built in unit so they sent someone to my home and the bill was over $1200.00 to replace a control board which took about 1/2 hour. I wasn't shocked at the price as replacing the unit is over 10k . When putting back together one of the display panels wouldn't light up. Repair guy stated " I will come by next week" I didn't know that meant a month!!!! I CALLED EVERY OTHER DAY FOR A MONTH. They said they were really busy or .....the COVID.....! Finally I had an appointment this last Wednesday. Stayed home all day. Crickets... no show. Started calling today. The guy came and said " some one died in his family. Gee wiz this isn't 3rd grade some one should have called. No I would never use them again, call for service and hope you won't either. I don't usually write reviews, but this time, after my experience with Speedy Appliance Service, I feel obligated to share my experience and my frustrations with this company. My refrigerator had stopped making ice for awhile and I was able to cope with that. Then, the refrigerator stopped working: The temperature in both the freezer and the and the fridge side was high, It was in the 20's and 30's, and 50's and 60's respectively. It wasn't cooling. I called Sears Service Center, since I used them before, I was unable to secure an early appointment with them. It would be 10 or 14 days later. Then I called Speedy Appliance Service. They were able to come 3 days later. When the guy showed up, he took one look in the freezer and told me that the complete auto defrost system has to be replaced. The cost was $495.00 dollars with $250.00 dollars deposit. That defrost system works to prevent ice from building up. Two and a half week later, a tech would come and replace the part. I am told to give it 24hrs. Three to four days later, nothing had changed. The fridge was still not working and was not making ice. I called them and told them about the situation, they told me that the ice maker needs to be replaced at a cost of $295.00 dollar. I said fine. Then the ice maker was replaced, Again, just give it 24hrs before you see a difference. A few days later nothing had changed. High temperature on both sides. The new ice maker wasn't making ice. Then I am told the new auto defrost and heating system that they installed may be defective, so they will replace it. It would take another two weeks for the part to come. They called me and told me they are coming next day with the new part. When the tech came, he realized that ice had already built up back again that he will not be able to take the part out. He called his boss to tell him about the situation, he was told to use a torch or they would have to reschedule. The tech told me that it wasn't really a good idea to use a torch on a plastic panel but it was up to me. I agreed with him and said let's reschedule. The office told me it will take another two weeks before the tech comes back because they are busy. I pleaded with them and told them that they were responsible for not telling me to unplug the fridge for 24 hours. The supervisor had the nerves to tell me that I should have known to unplug the fridge when they called me because I did it before. In other words, it wasn't their duty to tell the costumer what they would need to do, they should remember what they have done before, seriously! It's like you have a repeat colonoscopy and the doctor's office did not give you any instructions in preparation for the procedure because you it had done before. So, you had breakfast that morning and 4 hours later you were placed under anesthesia, aspirated, became ill with pneumonia and you are told by your doctor you should have known. This would be malpractice to the highest degree. Neither the consumer nor the patient is obligated to remember what to do. Where as the professionals have a DUTY to inform the consumers about what the need to do in preparation. When I couldn't get an earlier appointment, I offered to pay additional money to anyone who is willing to come after they clocked out, or do some overtime on me, I will pay. To no avail. About a week later, the tech came back and replaced the part again, and was told to keep it unplug for 24 hours. Few days later, still not working. The tech came back again. He reported the problem to his boss who told him to replace the sensor which he did. And the same refrain again, keep it unplug for 24 hours. Few day later still no improvement. The tech would come back the following week, took some parts out, cleaned them, added some Freon and same refrain: give it 24 hours. By this time, I am already looking to buy a new refrigerator because at this point they didn't know what the problem was. It became a guessing game that costing me time and money. Later on, I called the office and told them It's still not working and I've had it, no need to send the tech back. I was told that the supervisor said he is coming the following week to take look. I said there is no need for that I am getting a new refrigerator. Then I am told that I am not getting my money back anyway. In summary, I called Speedy Appliance Service because my refrigerator was not working. Two months later, after about 5 or more service trips, at cost of $790.00 dollars, not to mention the amount food I had to throw away, and frustrations; after all this, they were unable to fix the fridge but "you are not getting your money back." This is awful. People work hard for their money for unscrupulous business like Speedy Appliance Service to rip them off. That's not right. They are unprofessional, with a cavalier attitude, very indifferent and argumentative, showing lack of concern. I do not recommend them. read more

We had a very good experience with the service provider. They were prompt and timely with making an appointment. Matt the service provider who came to assess the problem was pleasant and knowledgeable about what the issue was. Within a two day period the part that we had an issue with was fixed and the fridge is working fine now. read more
