Refrigerator was full ...freezer was -2° & fridge was 50°+... tried defrosting but did not hold correct temps (37° & 0°). On a Friday in August I tried every option & no one available except "Appliance Dr." Ronnie & his assistant came within hours. They were sure it was the fridge fan which they immediately replaced (no electronic testing gear needed?). The refrigerator/freezer worked ok for a few weeks then same issue reoccurred. They came back & replaced the thermostat but gave me a very reasonable bill for the part to pay once I was satisfied with the service call (which I paid a month later). Very fast service. My only issue was the $95.00 just to walk in the door. Didn't have to repair anything. Suggested getting my dryer vent cleaner (They don't do that). Gave me the name of a vent cleaner. He also arrived quickly. Paid him $165.00. Seemed a little excessive for both. read more

The guy literally said "I don't know what that is" when I told him what my building said needed to be replaced. They were amazing especially Laurie who followed up with phone calls to keep me updated on where Dr. Jose (My Service Person) was and when to expect him on the day the problem with my oven was diagnosed to the next day when it was repaired! We've used the appliance dr. twice. The first time they came, they fixed our washing machine. Yesterday, they fixed our dryer. After fixing, the repairman said, "If it breaks again, buy a new dryer." The oven window looked like someone threw up in between the glass. We tried to clean it ourselves and only made a larger isssue when we couldn't put the glass and the door back together again properly. Thank goodness for Appliance Doctor! They came when they said they would, keeping us posted throughout the morning. They were able to manage the task, and even Windex'd the glass for us. Price was reasonable considering the time it took, and that it was a 2 person job. Also it was a dangerous undertaking as one of the guys sustained a laceration on his hand from the glass. After the third load, our dryer broke. From the time we made the phone call to them arriving, it was only 2 hours...on a Saturday! The tech came and fixed the dryer with a fuse and another part; they even replaced the vent tube which was clogged! Explained the issue and the sound our fridge was making on the phone to him(freezer was getting warm and it was making a cricket noise), he said it would never be a Freon issue. I asked regarding Freon because I just wanted to get a temporary fix until I was able to have a new unit delivered in a few days(I have done the freon fix on another unit which is still running 4 yrs later and these units typically use the same refrigerant as a car but you need to put a tap on the line to add it) Scheduled the service, rushed home to meet with him them. He came in opened the freezer and looked in and said it was not cold, completed the service call 2 minutes said the compressor needed to be replaced and/or needed refrigerant but he does not deal with refrigerant. Took him longer to write up the invoice for the service call, did me a favor and only charged me $70 for the service call instead of the $79. When I asked him what he thought he was going to do on this call given the conditions I explained to him on the phone when I called and the response was well I thought it may have been frost build up on the inside of the freezer. read more

AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! My freezer was working but making a sound. They chipped away ice and charged me $200. I'm almost eighty years old. When I questioned why I'm paying $200 for something that could be resolved by defrosting the freezer, they said if I didn't pay they would leave my freezer disassembled. I paid $200 and no parts were replaced. When I called my son they said they fixed the fan. They didn't fix the fan. They just removed food from in front of the fan. I called this place because i wanted my thru the wall air conditioner taken out and cleaned. I specifically discussed this process with the receptionist. She said "that 's what he does." The guy came on time and asked for a step stool. turned on the unit and started to brush all the dirt and grime off the unit. As he did this the dirt was flying all over the living room. At the same time he is stepping all over it and grinding it onto the floor. He then made a half witted attempt to clean it up with the same brush he used marring the wood floor. He was in some kind of a mad rush. And was not heeding my request to to have the unit removed and taken outside or to a shop for a proper cleaning.Telling me how much more it would cost and how he was saving me money. Money was not my objective a thoroughly cleaned air conditioner was the objective. I don't know if this one person is representative of the entire company. But my experience with him and the receptionist was enough to warn people that this company was very unprofessional. Had there been a carpet here it would have been seriously damaged maybe ruined. Such was the nature of the grimy dirt coming off the unit. He may do good work in a basement area. But Be careful when letting him work in a living area. Very Messy.
