If I describe the environment as being half of the lobby of a new suburban apartment complex, that doesn't do justice to how pleasant it is. Homey, quiet, clean, intentionally designed. When the apartment people give tours to prospective tenants, my confident assumption is that they DEFINITELY show off this area and it probably convinces people to move to this building. The baristas are serious coffee nerds, rightly proud of their single-origin sourcing from farms in Honduras, Costa Rica, and Colombia. My iced vanilla latte tasted great; the mild sweetness from their house-made vanilla was perfect. My friend got a pourover that he loved; he stayed there for about an hour doing some work and was impressed by how long that container stayed warm. If you're arriving by car, there is street parking around the building, but there is also the option of going into the building's garage. They confirmed to me that the ground-level parking spaces are available to customers during their open hours. Also, this is right across the street from the Helmo Ave. station on the new Gold Line. If you're taking that route before 4pm, consider hopping off for one of their impressive coffees!

The Wild Bean Coffee shop shares a storefront and bathroom with 350 Degrees Bakery so I'd recommend hitting both up if you are in the area as a 2-for-1 adventure. The Wild Bean serves a small variety of breakfast and lunch items along with standard espresso drinks. Similar to many coffee shops, there are rotating seasonal specials. For my breakfast, I opted for the egg sandwich and added cheese, salsa, avocado and sausage. I picked sourdough as the bread. It was the perfect size and came toasted. My sister ordered a turkey panini and it was bigger than the breakfast sandwich and served with potato chips. Our service was extremely kind and considerate which aided to the interior charm. I adored the decorating, small gift shop towards the back, plants and exterior patio seating for warmer weather. For my drink, I ordered a hot chai tea latte and it was perfect. O decided to try the choco banana cold foam cold brew. It was very good, but I would have liked a little more cold foam. They also have a limited menu, with some breakfast burritos and sandwiches. There are also Cubano's, cold brews, Affogatos and Cortados. Personally, this shop has a lot more variations compared to other coffee houses and I'm here for it. I dined in and opted for the triple berry smoothie and Spanish Latte while I worked remotely. I'm so grateful my warm drink was served in an actual mug. I've had bad luck dining in at other shops getting a paper cup and it's a turn off for me. The WiFi was advertised nicely at the register and there was a lovely wall outlet where at least 8 people perhaps more could be plugged in at once. Impressive! The natural lighting adds to the ambiance and there are lovely murals, paintings and greenery. One of my favorite moments was watching the heritage and culture weaving in and out of the shop. This time I just got a simple ham and cheese croissant, but it was perfect and I would definitely get that again. Exceptionally friendly service, very comfortable, I just love it.
