With both the decent gas consumption that this vehicle had and my not breaking the sound barrier with my lead foot, I needed to fuel this vehicle on my last full day before I headed home. To put it into perspective, I arrived on a Saturday. I did my road trip on Sunday. I had to fuel my vehicle on Tuesday afternoon. After having attended the Jason Show, I did a search and found this Speedway. It was fairly close, so I decided to check it out. It had a few folks pumping gas when I had arrived. I had no problem finding an available gas pump. I have rewards with Speedway. I pressed the Alt ID button and entered my phone number associated with my account. I then inserted my credit card to pay for gas and then pumped away. I like that I could fuel my vehicle hands-free. It allowed me to clean the windshield. The squeegee was in pristine condition. There was lots of windshield fluid. It was nice to have a clean, streak-free windshield again! The area around this gas pump was clean. I used some paper towel to dry off my hands. I then used hand sanitizer in my car, just to be safe. This gas station has a convenience store. I didn't need to use it. It's a decent gas station. I'd return when I'm in the area again. (408)

There are a few stores together, including some sort of fast food eatery that was closed. Anyway, I walked in to check the store out. There was an elaborate set of coffee machines. I liked all the coffee beans on top. It reminded me of the fancy machines we have at my workplace. Sadly, I don't drink coffee, so I had to bypass testing these machines out. I had a debate as to whether I should get three 500 mL bottles of Diet Coke, or two 2 L bottles of the same beverage. There were some amazing deals happening. I caved and went with the latter. I will be running on Diet Coke all week! I also liked the breakfast sandwich deals going on. I had the breakfast croissant last time and it was yummy. I decided to give the sausage and egg breakfast sandwich a try, along with a cheeseburger. The person cashing me out was so nice. He double-bagged my pop and sandwiches, and made sure that everything was safe and secure. I appreciated it. He also knew all the payment prompts off by heart, which was helpful. I paid using a credit card and the transaction was fine. I didn't need any gas for my car. There were plenty of available pumps. I didn't have any problems pulling in and out of this gas station. After a long, but fun day travelling and taking in a couple of hockey events, I drove back to my hotel and realized that I didn't have any beverages to consume back at the hotel. I knew that there was a gas station close by. I drove over to this Holiday gas station. I parked. At around 11 pm, you can pretty much park anywhere. This gas station is brightly lit. You can't miss it. I was the only customer. A staff member was outside getting some air. He said hi to me and we talked as we walked in together. It was nippy outside. Our conversation made me realize one reason why I loved living in this state. Everyone is so friendly. As the saying goes, it's the Minnesota nice in people. I got two 591 mL bottles of pop. I got a Diet Coke and a Diet Dr Pepper. There was a sale going on with pretty much everything. I was thrilled to see small packages of M&M's candies on sale. My weakness is looking at baked goods and sandwiches. The selection was impressive. I went bold and got a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant. I thought that if I woke up late the next day, I could warm this breakfast sandwich up in my room. The man cashed me out. I looked at the total before I paid using my credit card and it came up to $6.66. I made a comment about it, which made both of us laugh. He let me know that customers typically grab something else to change this devilish number. I just left it alone. If doom happens, I will die happy with pop and a croissant breakfast sandwich. I had the Diet Coke with my spaghetti and meat sauce meal once I got back to the hotel. It was nicely chilled and perfectly washed down my meal. The following morning, I heated up my sausage, egg, and cheese croissant. It was surprisingly delicious! The egg was an omelette. It tasted fresh and was fluffy. The croissant was flaky and tender. I love sausage. Gotta go with Jimmy Dean when in the States! The cheese melted nicely and held everything together. I'm a fan of Holiday. Who knew? I'd come back for the selection, quality, and customer service. (406)

I was called and told that I needed new brake pads and rotors. I assumed that this recommendation was for the scraping noise or the maintenance light since I didn't ask for anything to be done with the brakes. Bad assumption. They took it upon themselves to take advantage of the opportunity and to sell me services I didn't ask for. Then they took it even farther and told me I needed new calipers (for the brake pads and rotors I didn't ask for)...oh, and by the way, everything was torn apart so i couldn't take it elsewhere at this point. The total bill was over $2000. oh, and the scraping noise? they finally told me afterwards that it was a heat shield scraping against something -- easily fixed and had nothing to do with the brakes. And the maint light? it just due for an oil change. That could have been resolved with $99 but they tried to sell me another $1400 of services to replace an ABS wiring harnness and noted there was an error code for that. i finally recognized the pattern and declined this make-believe nonsense. I have elected to take the vehicle elsewhere for the oil change service. Who knows what other mysterious ailments they discover opening the hood!!!
