If I describe the environment as being half of the lobby of a new suburban apartment complex, that doesn't do justice to how pleasant it is. Homey, quiet, clean, intentionally designed. When the apartment people give tours to prospective tenants, my confident assumption is that they DEFINITELY show off this area and it probably convinces people to move to this building. The baristas are serious coffee nerds, rightly proud of their single-origin sourcing from farms in Honduras, Costa Rica, and Colombia. My iced vanilla latte tasted great; the mild sweetness from their house-made vanilla was perfect. My friend got a pourover that he loved; he stayed there for about an hour doing some work and was impressed by how long that container stayed warm. If you're arriving by car, there is street parking around the building, but there is also the option of going into the building's garage. They confirmed to me that the ground-level parking spaces are available to customers during their open hours. Also, this is right across the street from the Helmo Ave. station on the new Gold Line. If you're taking that route before 4pm, consider hopping off for one of their impressive coffees!

The Wild Bean Coffee shop shares a storefront and bathroom with 350 Degrees Bakery so I'd recommend hitting both up if you are in the area as a 2-for-1 adventure. The Wild Bean serves a small variety of breakfast and lunch items along with standard espresso drinks. Similar to many coffee shops, there are rotating seasonal specials. For my breakfast, I opted for the egg sandwich and added cheese, salsa, avocado and sausage. I picked sourdough as the bread. It was the perfect size and came toasted. My sister ordered a turkey panini and it was bigger than the breakfast sandwich and served with potato chips. Our service was extremely kind and considerate which aided to the interior charm. I adored the decorating, small gift shop towards the back, plants and exterior patio seating for warmer weather. For my drink, I ordered a hot chai tea latte and it was perfect. The storefront offers board games and complimentary water. I look forward to returning! Thank you!

There are some fun specials on the menu, including a marzapan latte, choco banana latte and cold foam, and its signature cajeta, which is a Mexican caramel sauce. O decided to try the choco banana cold foam cold brew. It was very good, but I would have liked a little more cold foam. They also have a limited menu, with some breakfast burritos and sandwiches. I would definitely recommend coming in to Cajeta!

I managed to snag the LAST cinnamon roll! I am taking the fact it was the last in to account. It wasn't the freshest - and an outside corner piece - so it was a bit dry and hard. However, it turns out the roll is just an easy way to get the frosting in your face. Omg. Delicious, buttery amazing frosting. (Which they did frost at the time of purchase). The place is small but they have an upstairs as well as a nice garden patios.

It also came with perfectly done scrambled eggs and toast. I got a unique latte as well; I asked the barista for her favorite and wound up with a raspberry & dark chocolate latte that had a surprising shock of bitterness. It was great. You will probably really like the ambience. It appears to have been built out of a lovely Victorian home in Dayton's Bluff, and there is plenty of upstairs seating including cute tables on the landings. There is also a very green patio. Friendly service tops it all off nicely. Their only not-open day is Tuesday, so bear that in mind. There is neighborhood street parking which you may have to hunt around a bit for. The construction still exists, yet it has moved in a way that still allows cars to pass in and out. There's also parking behind the building and works snazzy. My first impression was that Cafeto was a diamond in the ruff. A lot of neighboring shops are in and out of business mixed with traffic cones everyone. Cafeto felt calm and safe. The space was extremely clean and the customer service was top notch. The menu is robust with tons of great variations including Lattes from Spanish, Vanilla Bean Cardamom, and Coconut. There are also Cubano's, cold brews, Affogatos and Cortados. Personally, this shop has a lot more variations compared to other coffee houses and I'm here for it. I dined in and opted for the triple berry smoothie and Spanish Latte while I worked remotely. I'm so grateful my warm drink was served in an actual mug. I've had bad luck dining in at other shops getting a paper cup and it's a turn off for me. The WiFi was advertised nicely at the register and there was a lovely wall outlet where at least 8 people perhaps more could be plugged in at once. Impressive! The natural lighting adds to the ambiance and there are lovely murals, paintings and greenery. One of my favorite moments was watching the heritage and culture weaving in and out of the shop. Many patrons were speaking in Spanish and the positive energy was contagious. I look forward to returning soon and trying more options including food. The breakfast biscuits and empanadas sound glorious. Sending you all the joy, Cafeto! You are a gem in the neighborhood.
