Upon walking in, instead of greeting us the barista-- with an attitude-- said "I'm gonna need a few minutes." I totally understand that things get busy sometimes, especially when there's a large event happening in town! However, phrasing and delivery are EVERYTHING in the food/drink/hospitality industry. The same barista also acted annoyed when my friend asked for additional flavoring in her caramel macchiato. This was definitely a little off-putting. If/when we return to the area, we may give it another shot. But, I hope we will feel a bit more welcome next time.

They have a bitter after taste that ruins my experience. Prices are a little higher, and the quality of food items is low. The bagels taste like cheap ones at the grocery store, and I've had inconsistent levels of cream cheese on my sandwiches. I can't stand a dry bagel! The drive thru wait times are average. We have always had service with a smile and great interaction. They have amazing deals through the week and while advertised on social media if you do not mention the deal they will charge you full price, I have learned that the hard way so I don't enjoy knowing there is a deal but will still be charged fully unless mentioned. When I explained to her that I simply ordered a decaf latte, not specify size she double down and again insisted that I had ordered a grande. Flabbergasted, I asked her if she really wanted to sit and argue the point or if she would like to just stop insulting me to which she mumbled something under her breath and turned and walked over to a supply as if she had something else to do. I am certainly not a customer that believes the customer is always right, or expect anything above and beyond ... but I do expect not to be argued with and not be told thatI am lying. It's enough for me for you to simply take my order, smile, and then make my drink. After all of this my sandwich was like warm which I know is not a likely outcome with the ovens Starbucks uses. The quality of the breaded fish is just average but that ooey gooey dill tartar sauce wins me over everytime. This week was time for my splurge. I went through the drive-thru and ordered my two Filet of Fish burgers. Unfortunately when I got home I got my BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! What! Zero, zip, nada tartar sauce on either Filet of Fish. I opened up the burgers to inspect them and yep the chintzy 1/2 slice of cheese on the fish Filet in the dry buns. I ended up adding my homemade version of dill sauce that was left over from cooking beer battered fish at home. If this review was based on this experience alone McDonald's would have earned a one star. I'm sure it was an oversight or maybe even they ran out of my favorite condiment. I won't be back this year again.

I have passed by this old Convenient Food Mart store many times but finally made this stop after a recommendation by a close friend who is a big "foodie!" I knew a Meatloaf sandwich was going to be on the list so I went directly to the counter to pick one up, I also picked up a country ham sandwich and bottled water to eat in the front seat of my truck (there were no open seats available inside due to the local crowd occupying all the tables and seating), they were very busy. There was plenty of help, everybody was very helpful and friendly. The steam table had plenty of options for lunch or you can choose to have a deli sandwich made but the Meatloaf is piled high in a bun and it packs all the flavor you expect from a farmhouse kitchen table! I will be back soon and make this a regular lunch stop to try some of there other menu items when I am working in Shelbyville again!
