Overall this gas stations employees are extremely helpful and nice. Only one bad apple from my…read moreexperience. One evening me and my husband stopped there for gas because we were on empty. My husband only had $10 on him and gave the gentleman a $10 bill and proceeded to pump the gas. The pump only dispensed 10 cents worth of gas and cut off. Obviously confused my hus and went back in and told the employee what had happened and was told to try again. When he came back the car and attempted to pump gas it would not dispense anything. Forced to go in for a third attempt to receive the $10 in gas he payed for, the employee made a phone call to his "supervisor " when my husband was an earshot. According to this employee his boss told him that the best they could do is comeback the next day to try to get it figured out. I had lost my patience and I came him and told the employee to put the correct amount on the pump or I would call the police. Magically after that interaction the pump dispensed $10 worth of gas. Im sure this lowlife tries this very scam frequently and is sometimes successful. I can see someone just chalking it up to some malfunction in equipment and not even bothering to return the next day to politic over a relatively small amount of money. What a loser this guy is. He works the overnight shift. You can usually smell him as soon as you walk in the store, this gentlemen must think there is sharks in the shower he is funky. Dragonbreath as well.

After tying several times, I went inside where the machine wouldn't read my card either. My card works... so the problem was with them. After making jokes about the machine, the employee (who had a passing resemblance to David Crosby) did something and then the machine worked fine. I went outside and pumped my gas... slowly. Did I mention it was cold outside? I expect to pay money, get gas, and leave. Two of those things took longer than necessary. Boo.

What's not to like about a well run, well maintained and well stocked mini mart gas station. The…read moreoutside, the inside and the offerings inside are all a cut above what you will find anywhere else, at least in this size mini mart. After all, it's not a Buc-ees. ;-) I have stopped at Stewart's Shops to fill up with gas, coffee and something to nibble on in multiple places when I am in their part of the country and I suspect I will continue to do so each time I encounter a location in the future.

In general, Sunoco's whole NASCAR aesthetic really turns me off. Ugh.
