Another bonus- the same price for cash and credit. It is absolutely gorgeous inside; like a cigar lounge..Love the colors. The Manager/cashier Prabhjot is just the nicest, most efficient, aware and professional worker. The location is so convenient. It is a 2 minute drive from Trader Joe's , Bagel Boss and French Workshop; about 4 minutes from both the Parkway and Expressway. They have a garage and a good mechanic on staff. The rest room is accessible, open, very clean, well maintained with ample paper products. Open daily from 5 am to 11 pm. Please disregard the Open 24 hours signage outside.

They always do a quality, prompt job, but most importantly they are extremely loyal and always put the customer first. I was stranded one time, so the owner Bob and one of the mechanics came and started my car. They did this in the afternoon, when they are always busy, and did not charge me. Also, Eddie is the main mechanic there. For years he has taken care of my oil changes on short notice, and provided top notch service. If you live in the surrounding area, please consider getting your car serviced at L & D, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

My gauges say "Danger Will Robinson" When I tell you I am in NSP hell traffic? I don't want to be that guy on Waze, "car on the side of the road". Steam is starting to come out of the hood. I zoom on the grass and quickly get off at South Oyster Bay rd and see S&S Auto center. It's 7:30 at night, I'm cold and the gas station attendant says to leave the car. The mechanics will look over the car tomorrow. The next day I get a call, the main engine belt broke. It needs a pulley as well, we'll have it ready today and you can pick it up any time. The price seems a little high for what I was charged. However, they did a great job and got my Jeep operational in one day. Thanks S&S!

Of course I'm saving again, .30 cents per gallon. I'm always eager to get gas at a great value. The gas is consistently cheaper than the gas stations in the area. The only odd thing is there isn't anything to clean your windows with. The one time I needed air I was told it's free and that was cool. I don't like paying a $1 for air if I can avoid it. The man inside the service center was nice but again I never bought anything from inside. There's 3 entrances/exits and a good amount of pumps I think about 8. I'm a regular here and I recommend this gas station if you like cheaper gas.

They usually aren't the cheapest game in the area & often have the same price for regular as the station near my house but today must have been my lucky day. Gas there was about 4 cents cheaper & I was in serious need of some (riding on about 1/8 of a tank since I had to keep the car started after the battery was jumped off). The staff was friendly to me & I got my gas tank filled with no issues. Small but if you're traveling in the right direction, you can't go wrong here. They also don't play that game where they charge you more if you pay with a credit/debit card; it's the same price no matter how you pay. If you're in desperate need for gas, you can't go wrong here.

I went to the bp station the other day as my truck was just about on empty. No complaints about the price it was fine. BUUUUUTTTT I started pumping the gas and it was pumping so slow I think I fell asleep. It was pumping about 1 gallon a minute yes you read correctly one gallon a minute. Figuring something was wrong I looked over at the other pumps being used and they were just as slow. I put about 4 gallons in and just gave up and left. Had no patients to stand there for 25 minutes to fill my tank. I drove down the road and filled up in 5 minutes maybe less. OHHHHHH boy gas stations are not created equally. Unless I am totally desperate I will never go there again.

What can I say. I grew up in Plainview and now Work there. I've used Vinnie for 30 years for probably 7 cars. The most honest and ethical auto mechanic there is. Also he can fix anything and will try to save you money doing it. If this review again is somehow picked by the Yelp gods to be bogus (read not paid for by the reviewee) than so be it. just use Vinnie. He's the best.
