Okay so I'm not thinking I'm actually popular enough to have followers or anything however if you…read moreare one, you know from my previous posting that I burn about a tank of gas a day doing my job so because of this I am at convenience stores quite often. You also would know that my number one pet peeve about convenience stores is that they don't have washer fluid and or squeegees available near the gas pumps. This store was an exception. I have been here a few times before this review however this is the first time I actually went in. Every time I'm here they have had the washer fluid and nice brand new squeegees available. So that in itself in my opinion is enough for a good review. This time however like I said I went inside, the place is nice and clean, and even though I don't typically eat prepared foods from fast food places including convenience stores, I needed to make an exception this time so I grabbed a couple of breakfast sandwiches. They've got a really cool system setup at the register area, you put your purchase down on this big pad with some dots on it, it rings it up for you and gives you a total on the screen where you can then enter cash credit card etc. I threw some cash in there and it spit out my change. I guess if you don't like interacting with people this would be pretty cool. There were two people behind the counter and I stood there and had a chat with them for a few minutes, both of which were very polite and seemed as though they actually enjoy their jobs which is rare these days. The only other thing I can think of right now which kind of made me chuckle is when I got into my car and I was on my way and I'm eating these breakfast sandwiches, there are stickers on the bottom of them that have a date and a time and it says discard time next to it. The date is obviously today's date and the time on the one I was unwrapping was about 7 minutes away. So I ate the sandwich and a little while later I grabbed the other one and sure enough it had the same time on it so technically I'm eating this sandwich about 15 minutes past the time that it was supposed to be discarded. It kind of made me chuckle because I was pretty sure that upon opening this particular sandwich I wasn't going to find it green and furry because at 30 seconds past the discard time it instantly went bad . I am however going to stop in there again just out of curiosity and pick up a couple of random sandwiches and see if I can find one that is still sitting out past the discard time. I'm not going to make a big deal about it if I do because honestly those were made fresh this morning I'm guessing around 6:00 a.m. or so? And I was in there around 8:15 so it's not like they were bad or anything. Would just be kind of cool in my brain if I stop in there a couple more times and maybe get to know the people behind the counter a little bit so I've got a little bit of a repertoire with them to the point that I can bust their jobs holding up a sandwich that's 30 seconds expired and give them crap over it. But anyway, yeah this location seems pretty good. Hopefully nobody takes me seriously about my expired sandwich comments. They were both rather tasty.

My daily travels bring me by this location twice a day, five days a week, so it's very convenient…read morefor me to stop - whether I need gas, coffee, or a convenience-store snack. Most importantly, to me, the employees are always friendly and helpful. Management has more than once gone out of their way to accommodate me with some special requests, and even new employees have greeted me with a smile and friendly banter. If you can't find something you're looking for, don't be afraid to ask - some cold items, for example, are behind cooler doors, and one of the employees will be happy to help you look. If you're looking for a good cup of coffee, this is the place! ExpressMart Palmyra offers a dozen different flavors/strengths of coffee, hot chocolate, flavored "steamers," and a fully stocked bar of fixin's for your caffeine fix including flavored creamers and sweeteners of every variety. While you're finding the perfect mix, you can catch up with the day's news on a shiny flat-screen TV mounted just behind the coffee bar. The inside of the store is small, and thus slightly cramped, but the shelves are neat and well-stocked. As with most convenience stores, you won't find many choices of any one given item, but you will be impressed with the variety of items available - from kitchen staples to condiments to health and beauty to automotive - if you need it, you may well find it here! (The only thing I've noticed missing is a frozen-food section, but I suspect a full-size freezer was sacrificed by necessity to limited floor-space.) Another little gem you may discover is the reduced bread/snack area just inside the front door - I've come to count on the $1 day-old bread! The pump area is easily accessible, and there is ample parking for convenience store customers on both sides of the building, as well as behind it. I've had occasion to stop at all the gas stations in Palmyra at some point in the recent past, and for overall service and bang for your buck - this one takes first prize in my book!

Went here one time to take advantage of the $5 pizza deal at Sandwich Worx sub shop. Since it's a…read moregas station, my expectations weren't terribly high for the quality of the pizza but I was going for the lower cost. There was one lady working in the sub shop, making a sub, and another employee (manager, I assumed by the shirt color?) chatting by the register with a friend. The woman making a sub didn't even look up to acknowledge me standing there... For. Five. Entire. Minutes. After sub # 1 was complete, the customer before me had another sub to order. This would have been a fine time to at least say "Hello, I'll be right with you..." Nope. So I waited another 5 minutes. At this point, you'd think the other employee by the register might at least ask if I needed help... Nope. After concluding her conversation with a friend, that employee picked up the phone and chatted away with somebody else without so much as a glance in my direction. Finally, the subs were complete and sub worker simply asks "What can I get you?" in the most inhospitable tone imaginable. My response: "Not a damn thing. You can get yourself some customer service skills though." (Honestly, that's a lie. One of those "wish I'd said that" deals.) I just walked away and went to Fat Boys, and will never go back to Express Mart or Sandwich Worx again.
