I was incredibly stressed and on the verge of tears when I finally got through to the shop and spoke with Bree. She was so kind, calm, and reassuring, and immediately arranged for a flatbed. Brooke, a retired police officer who is in the process of purchasing the shop, came to pick us up and brought us back to Pagosa. Before we even arrived, he had already identified the likely problem and assured us that if all of the mechanics were busy, he would repair it himself--which is exactly what he did. He was professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and immediately put our minds at ease. From start to finish, everyone went above and beyond to help us during a very stressful situation. We are from Dallas, and I can honestly say we've never experienced customer service this exceptional back home. We are beyond grateful for everything Brooke, Bree, and Tracy did for us. My Chevrolet Colorado towed vehicle burned up two sets of brakes while being towed. I took it to a…read moreplace in Santa Fe that charged me $2100 to repair it. Within 30 miles the brakes locked up again and burned them up. Last week I took my pick up into CT's and explained the problem to them. They also replaced the whole braking system plus straightened warped backing plate and charged me $1600. They suggested I look into the automatic towing braking system on the Chevrolet. I have done that and realized that WAS the problem. Won't have this problem again thanks to them. While we left our car there for the day they gave us a lone car - no charge! that allowed us to do some shopping and sightseeing while they worked on pickup. They test drove it, came back and did some more work on it. Then drove it again before they would let me have it. That is how professional, complete and reliable they are. The owner and his wife are just the most delightful people you've ever met and the mechanic is also extremely personable. I would highly recommend this repair shop.

They broke down all of their concerns along with estimates for each itemized repair. We have brought all of our vehicles in, and had nothing but great service. It's tough to get reliable auto work done in a small mountain town. But CT's has really come a long way, providing dependable repair work in a friendly atmosphere. I live in the area and wanted to support our local coffee shop, and have been for about 9 months…read more The service has always been appalling and while 4.70$ for a drip coffee is steep, we supported them because they were selling a local coffee company (also called Steep) and were willing to pay the premium to support a local family owned roaster. They informed me today that they will no longer be selling Steep because they raised their prices. They are now selling allegro as their drip, and when asked if using corporate coffee would lower the price of their drip, they said no. As far as I'm concerned this is disingenuous and a pretty bad hustle. Other complaints include no visible pricing and random price switching (due to the lack of transparency). We will not be back. Please consider supporting the Steep roasting company ten minutes up the road, you can get a fresh bag for 2/3 the price that higher grounds sells it for anyway.
