This is the best travel center for miles around. I can't believe I didn't know of it until several…read moreweeks into my stay here. *It easily has the cheapest gas prices of any gas station around. Its nearest neighboring gas stations, approximately 30 miles away in Chama, are usually a couple cents to 40 cents/gallon more expensive. Case in point: this past weekend, Chama's gas stations were $3.89/gallon. This travel center was $3.40/gallon. Talk about inflated gas prices. *Tons of gas pumps. There is an air hose somewhere. *And during the weekdays during lunch hours, they have mutton/frybread vendors. $8 for a mutton green chile frybread sandwich. Yummy. The line gets pretty long so come early. I can't find an actual address for this place. But they're never concerned about actual addresses here so I guess it doesn't matter. In the spirit, it's right off of the main road of US 64 through town. You'll see it right off of the main intersection of town, between the supermarket and the fire department. You'll have to turn onto a little frontage road to get to it, but you can't miss it. And it's open 24/7.

I lived in Pagosa for a long time. As a local, I never stopped in here. The station is not in a…read morevery good spot for stopping in a convenient location or getting back out onto the main road, especially if there's any snow on the ground. My parents seem to like this place though, so we stopped here last week. The counter attendant had to have been one of the rudest people that I've ever met. Flat out, plainly, simply rude. This is not how you should treat customers. This was my first trip into this location in 16 years of being around Pagosa Springs, and it'll definitely be my last.
