There are various downstairs rooms a large front porch set up with tables and some comfy seating. The location seemed to be popular with the locals as there were several groups located throughout the house either hanging out socially or working. We ordered from an extremely polite and accommodating barista and she was patient while we perused their long list of various coffee flavor concoctions. Although I don't remember the specific ones we ordered they were both pretty good. Although they do not use Torani brand syrups so the flavors did taste a bit synthetic. There are also a lot of various items for sale throughout the shop. I ended up purchasing a little knitted sock that fits on your broom handle to be used as a duster. For only $4 I felt like it was a cute and unique find. I actually wished I bought a couple more as gifts. If you're looking for a good little coffee place in the area that isn't one of the many big chains definitely give Black Chicken Coffee a try!

They even had a special holiday menu which we, of course, had to order from. I got the iced hand warmer (our barista joked with us about what an oxymoron that is LOL) which consisted of chocolate, cinnamon, and brown sugar. It was DELICIOUS. Perfect balance of syrup to coffee. My husband got the iced turtle latte and his was good also, maybe a little less coffee flavor because there was both caramel and chocolate in his. The staff was super nice and efficient. Besides joking with us about our order, they were friendly and prompt with getting our coffees to us, even with how busy they were.
