Compared to Speedway next door, this place was deserted. Gas was 4 cents more expensive here than Speedway BUT there also wasn't a line. After filling the tank (for $76, Thanks Biden), we went inside to use the restroom. I was shocked how nice the inside is!! It seemed new and clean and had so much to offer. Looked like there is an area for fresh made to order foods, hot food items, tons of drink options and a bulk candy stand... unfortunately for our kids, we've cut sugar out of our diets and candy is off limits. They'll thank us later. The restrooms were really nice as well! All in all, I have no idea what Speedway was like inside but I doubt it was as nice as this Duchess is. Only reason for 4/5 stars is because of the gas price.

I downloaded the Love's reward app right at the pump before fill up. Easy to get registered and add the app to my collection. Only complaints were that there was all kinds of food, travel supplies, and store trinkets but not a Twinkie in sight. That and only one cashier are the only complaints I've got. The snacks are gas station priced, so not exactly the best prices, but they have a great selection, and if you're stopping during a road trip, you know what to expect. So, one thing I was really excited about was that they had some cut fruit and veggie options, not just a basket of sketchy looking bananas. I'm always down for a fresh option and appreciate that they have some on offer! Little dog area and a decent amount of parking makes this a solid option if you're running up or down I-71.

Unlike other gas stations where you have to endlessly circle to find your way to the highway, this one is easy hop off and on. Gas: The gas is pretty cheap at this location. All pumps are functional. Merchandise: The merchandise at this gas station is well organized. You can quickly browse for chips or drinks finding everything in one place. You can always find a lot of souvenirs. If you suddenly need a positive potato or Labubu while on the road, stop in! They even have Beauty and the Beast like roses. I always check out the inventory! It's a fun stop along the mundane road! Service: Service is usually friendly and you even get greeted upon entry. That's very rare for a gas station. My only criticism of this gas station is the fact that is so very outdated. It could use major modernization which would make it a lot more inviting.
