Stopped at this Sheetz in Greensboro, and it was... fine. Nothing exceptional (but the breakfast…read morefood was up to standard for Sheetz which is great!) and overall, nothing terrible either. The staff was friendly, smiling, and had good attitudes, though you could tell they were a little frustrated--probably with management. I overheard them in the cooler talking about not being able to run things the way they wanted, which makes me think there are some operational issues behind the scenes. The bathroom wasn't great--definitely could use some more attention. There was graffiti scratched into the mirror, and it wasn't the cleanest, but it wasn't outright disgusting either. If I were ranking it against other Sheetz locations, I'd give it a 3 or 4 out of 10. It didn't stand out in any way, but it wasn't bad enough to avoid. If I needed gas or a quick stop, I'd come back, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. One thing I would say, that was better than most gas stations in general is the customer here were super friendly.

After a few minutes of searching their very large menu, I discovered they no longer have chicken salad on the M-T-O menu. So sad. Their CS is good. We settled on 2 for $6 half subs - looked like a good deal. It was a great sandwich. Loaded with ham amd cheese, toasted. Lots of condiment and veggie choices. We ordered mayo and honey mustard, lettuce and tomato. It was a great sandwich - better than Subway and at half the price. For sides, we order a cupbof fries and a cup of onion petals. Both were well done, just the way we like it! Staff was generally friendly. And offered to help with the touch screen ordering system. The downfall came when we decided to eat in and use their dining area. We walked into an office, new employee training session! Almost every table was taken. One by a manager with a laptop. Another by two prospective filling out paperwork on tablets. Another by someone else in a Sheetz shirt with a laptop, and two others by new employees being trained, and a trainer roaming the room lecturing! No one said a word to us - just continued their tasks. Surely there is an office somewhere. There was another couple trying to squeeze in and enjoy their lunch. Just not a good situation. Sheetz, if your going to offer an eat in space, keep it clean, and make your managers use an office. What a shame - for a gas station, the food at Sheetz is pretty good.

Bathrooms were spotless as any Sheetz restrooms I've ever been in. I went to the food order touch screens and ordered a grilled chicken wrap. No one seemed to be ahead of me and my food took a little longer than I had expected. It was about 7 or 8 minutes before my order was ready. In the grand scheme of things this isn't a long time to wait but in comparison to any other sheetz it was a little longer than normal. The wrap was pretty good, seemed like normal Sheetz quality food ingredients in which I really didn't have any complaints. My only issue was it seemed like the wrap was made very quickly and the wrap was torn in one spot. I didn't realize this and of course began eating it from the opposite end so by the time I was halfway through it was completely falling apart. If I'm in the area I'll stop by again, no major issues and the food was still enjoyable.

I still recommend it because it's pineapple one of my favorites. As for the appetizers I had tater tots, jalapeño poppers, and mozzarella sticks. All were cooked well and were fantastic! I would note the jalapeño poppers were especially hot...be ware. Service was quick. Employees were all pleasant. Plenty of space to eat. Overall this place is what I expected. Definitely make a stop here and enjoy a snack or two.

After seeing Regina J's review of this little grill, it definitely went on the bucket list, and we…read morestopped in for a quick lunch today. This is a convenience store on the northern edge of Kernersville, with a small grill, and four small tables for seating. The place is busy and noisy, people in and our constantly, with a buzzer sounding each time the door opens. The sandwiches we tried here were very, very good - a Hot Dog with mustard, chili & onions, a loaded single Cheeseburger, and a Philly Cheese Steak. We got 2 of these as combos, and the fries are very good, though not salted nearly enough. Our drinks were fountain Diet Pepsi, and these were just awful, the mixture is definitely off here. The Hot Dog was loaded with a tasty, meaty chili and a decent wiener. The Burger was well sized, nice flavor, good outside crust coming off the grill. The Cheese Steak was exceptional, filled with beef, cheese, onions, peppers, and mushrooms, in a nice bun. We'd order all 3 again, and probably will. Jose was great - friendly and helpful. We chose to eat in, and he brought everything to the table with a big smile. We probably will get our order to go next time - the place was hot and noisy, not making for a comfortable meal, even a quick one. But if you are looking for a quick bite on the run in Kernersville, you can find great choices here.

We started with a Philly Chicken Cheesesteak. The crusty roll could not contain the caramelized onions, charred chicken, tender mushrooms, sautéed peppers, and melted cheese. The well balanced condiments on the Hot Dog all the way complimented the meaty dog and still emerged on their own right (bold onions & yellow mustard, sweet slaw, and a seasoned zingy chili). Every single slice of potato in our order of Homemade Chips was golden brown and crisp. The sweet Onion Rings had a wonderful crunch, and their potato wedges are on my radar for next time. When we saw the Double Bacon Cheeseburger, our jaws dropped which was actually a good thing because I don't think this gargantuan burger would have fit into our mouths otherwise. So much bacon! I'm not complaining. That was a happy chant Jerry and I kept saying over and over as we ate our lunch. The burgers were moist and juicy on the inside with a good char on the outside from the flat top grill. Topped with American cheese and stacked on a sesame seed bun, we enjoyed ours with lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayonnaise. The next time you're on the road, set a course for The Grill and fill 'er up.
