It seems after reading the other reviews, my experience is pretty spot on and par for the course. The place was filthy. And the line was long with four employees and only one person helping check any one out. Finally "Alexis" opened another line and told the guy in front of me "sir I guess I can ring you up". She was obviously too busy to help customers. When I got up to her she actually walked away while in he process of paying and then hollered at me "you need your receipt?" When I said yes please she sighed at me walked back over and just handed them to me like I was a bother. Get a different job if you don't like it there Alexis.

This speedway is okay. It usually has the cheapest gas prices on the east side. But it isn't on the most savory side of town.

This little gem is exactly what I'm looking for in a coffee shop. I took two steps inside and felt…read morelike I was at home. The vibes are straight up moody, in the best way possible. Twinkle lights, a neon sign with the phrase "stay wild," plants everywhere and I mean everywhere! Little things that I noticed and loved included a table with a community puzzle and some board/card games, very cool artwork on the walls, and hints of Halloween (skeletons and skulls), my favorite. The community feeling was also very obvious. Everyone was friendly, there were so many cute dogs and people waving and saying hi to each other as they came and went. I loved it. Now, on to the coffee... I was going to be staying put for a while before jumping on the road for a three hour drive so I ended up getting two of their seasonal drinks and a pastry. I always go for the seasonal options and they had several good ones to try. I started with the "peelin' so good," a banana and caramel latte with strawberry drizzle. I opted to get it with oat milk. Oh my goodness, it was so good. You might question banana in a latte, but I've been seeing them pop up everywhere and it was delicious. I also got a babka pastry, which I had never heard of before. It's pretty much a braided roll mixed with a sticky bun. It had cinnamon in it and a syrup over it. I snacked on that while I was there and finished it in my car. Super tasty! Before I left I got the "beez nutz" latte because I knew I would need help staying awake while driving for three hours. It was a honey latte with a peanut butter cold foam. Also delicious. I sipped down every drop. This shop is the perfect mix of dark whimsy, community, and coffee. A special place indeed. Give them a visit!

As we walked in the ambiance of the plants and art was really cool. Seating was a bit weird, I dislike that singles were hogging up the two tops or four top tables. I guess some people lack etiquette but honestly if the last coffee shop we went to can instill rules then I feel like others should too for the sake of all of their patrons being able to enjoy their shops. We both ordered the Peelin so good, banana caramel with the strawberry drizzle (iced and hot) and a carrot cake muffin. Both coffees were really good: highly recommend both. The carrot cake muffin was dry and the cream cheese crumbled it was so dry so I will not get that again. Definitely 5 stars for the drinks and staff. Three for the overall quality of the muffin because it would have really been great with my drink :( Staff was friendly and welcoming. Definitely will be back on a sunny day to enjoy the patio. Dog friendly so that's a plus.

It is a bit challenging to find parking but there are a few spots in front. I parked down the street and walked which is always an option. There are a few stairs to get in but also a ramp, and the set up has a nice aisle like space for the line and plenty of tables and chairs. It can be quite loud so keep that in mind if you want a quieter reflection time, and maybe take it to go or sit outside. They have various food items but I absolutely LOVE their peanut butter energy balls! In fact that is why I came to this location as this is where the magic happens. They make them here and send them to other Tinker locations! They are the perfect blend of savory and a tad sweet and go super well with their coffee and/or London Fog tea. Yum! I will freely admit to buying all they had on hand, and now can enjoy them at home. Yay! It is a very busy spot so not the friendliest of staff, but assumed they were already hassled from the morning. It was a great spot to meet a friend and enjoy the patio and some tea/coffee. I would for sure go back and even bring a friend! In fact I've already mentioned it to several people as a potential meet up spot! Definitely something to enjoy!

However, as I parked I spied Sleepy Hollow Gourmet Deli & Cafe along with a Jack's Donuts. I was curious. So, I wheeled over and realized they were like conjoined culinary twins. I detoured my plans and decided to hang out at Sleepy Hollow, a delightfully named establishment (though I do wish they'd lean into the decor a bit more) for this Irvington-set restaurant. Jack's does seem to be the dominant force here. There are donuts, bagels, cookies, and even kolaches. The prices are surprisingly affordable. Drinks include hot coffee, iced coffee, lattes, boba energy, and Pepsi products. They do have both sweet and unsweetened iced tea. The menu also includes Choc-ola! The deli menu includes toasted subs (every sub has 1/4-pound of meat and you can go double for an extra price). They use Boar's Head meats. You can get chips and a soft drink to make it a combo. This strip center is always a little hit-and-miss in terms of access, however, with some nearby road construction it seems just a bit slower and I was able to find a spot that improved my accessibility. If you go to the door by the entrance, the curb has a bit of a step to it. If you go to the end of the aisle, there's a smooth and level section to make it all easily work. The interior itself is nicely laid out and easily accessible. The employees were super friendly. They also offer catering. There's a combination of higher-top tables and regular tables. Business was fairly steady, however, I had no issue finding a place to sit. I ended up ordering a chicken salad sandwich that was a healthy size and quite tasty. I grabbed a bag of chips and my usual unsweetened iced tea. Pricing was right about $13. Overall, I was quite pleased and I would easily return. Whether you're seeking donuts or a deli sandwich, Sleepy Hollow (or Jack's) is an ideal place to stop in.

High on my list was a visit to Daisy Bar. I was definitely pleased. I entered through the inside of the Factory Arts, an opportunity to wheel through the hallways and check out what's soon to arrive. I knew I was getting close to Daisy Bar, because I could see the crowd and I could glimpse their wonderful decor. I entered and was immediately confused. Do I sit (Okay, I'm in a wheelchair. Technically, I always sit.)? Do I go to the counter? What do I do? I even found their menu a little confusing, because it seemed to imply that food ended at 3pm, though I know they're open late and serve dinner. An employee offered me a paper menu (I was clearly straining my neck to see their wall menu). I started to get a grasp on how things worked. The ordering line seems a bit disorganized (to the point that I actually left the first time because it was clear people were just jumping ahead of me while I considered the menu). That was a bit of a turn-off. However, after a bit I returned and things were calmer and more organized. The atmosphere is busy, though not overwhelming. The decor is warm and welcoming. This seems ideally situated in Factory Arts (newer section), though it's also super close to the Monon Trail. I know there's outdoor and indoor seating, however, I didn't really get a chance to check everything out. I had no trouble as a wheelchair user entering from the inside, however, I'll note I parked down by Centerpoint Brewery - not a long distance, but it's also not short. Daisy Bar serves Calvin Fletcher coffee (yay). They have a breakfast/lunch menu that ends at 3pm followed by a dinner menu. They do catering, and they have space rental. I really wanted to try the Bistro Club, however, I arrived about 20 minutes after the lunch menu was done. I opted for grilled chicken wings that were delish - I wanted to try the Daisy Bar Burger, though I was eating somewhat gently since I had plans afterward. The menu seems to cater to all dietary needs and preferences. I didn't get as much time here as I wanted, but I'll no doubt return. Now that I know the routine a bit more, I should be able to avoid that initial turn-off and will likely end up forking over that fifth star. For now, this is a very comfortable four-star experience for me.

First -- the syrup situation. I shouldn't have to order a specific menu latte just to get a flavored drink. A little flexibility goes a long way in making a customer feel like a guest and not just a transaction. Let me build my drink a little. I'll spend more, I promise. And the pastries, baby. I ordered a croissant and watched it get placed in a bag with a thin sheet of paper like it didn't deserve better. By the time I got home, it had made up its mind to be a different pastry entirely. I know there's a microwave back there -- I've seen it working for the breakfast sandwiches. A warm croissant is a small thing that changes everything. I'm not going anywhere.
