Fortunately, familiar red signage glowed through the Fall, 2024 darkness and a familiar old friend wearing pumps said "Hello". I like the Maverick brand. During a span of my life I spent many days of many weeks working here in Northwest Flag. It was my go-go-to gas stop. We'd run the gas tank down to 1/4 tank. We said farewell at Woody's CamogrouCamCampground. We would nor get home without a full tank. Maverick was our perfect stop. They have snacks, beverages and smiles too.

10/5/24 update - found out the issue is with my new checking account and not with the gas station…read more Actually find gas stations in my area are holding between $150-$175 for a day or more. Not sure how that is legal. Changing from 1 star to 4. It actually was a decent place and cheaper than the surrounding gas in the area the day I was there visiting. The gas was $3.68/gal not bad, but they secured $100 out of my account for a $28.32 bill. Not happy about this at all!! Calling for manager today after 11am. 4-15-24 at 8:50am the $100 pending charge is still not gone! And the real charge hard posted so $128.32 now wrapped up for a $28.32 charge!! Talked to both the station manager and Discover yesterday!! 2:34pm and it's still there! 2 days after I gassed up here! What the hell man!? Why isn't anyone doing something about this!!?? Pisses me off need to get ahold of a news station or something!!?? Never coming here again!!!! .. withholding my true words for sake of being PG. 4-16-24 finally got things back to normal 3 days after the fact. They also have a postal hub in the back that can do select services. Convenient for when you don't want to stand in line to send those Christmas packages! The convenience store has a great selection of reasonably priced beer and wine! They also have a variety of snacks and select grocery items. They also have a unique tourist keepsakes, trinkets and items for kids! And let's not forget lottery tickets! The Corner Café and Timberline Tavern are just a few steps down as well! During the summer months they have a flea market of sorts going on in the open lot next-door... Plenty of parking including truck parking in the dirt lot! Always super friendly service and they definitely remember locals! I am thankful to have a store with their selection so close to home!

Pilot Travel Center is always a solid option during road trips!…read more My husband and I were on our way to Sedona and decided to stop at this Pilot Travel Center for some more affordable gas. This location is not as big as some of the other ones across the country but it was still pretty good equipped with all the basics. The bathrooms were very clean and I even noticed they had a baby changing station. They also have a laundry room for pay across from the bathrooms. This location also has a Subway and McDonalds attached to it, and I even noticed they have this section of pre-made sandwich subs that you can grab and go in case you don't want to wait for your order. Highly recommend stopping by this gas station if you need to get some rest from the road or just need some extra snacks!
