They let us bring our dog into the waiting room, told us where we could get a rental if needed, stayed open late (on a Friday!) so we didn't have to, and didn't overcharge us. It IS very costly for a convenience store though. A full Oreo pack is worth about $6 here, possibly even more. The range of products here is good for its competition; although it is mostly snacks, cooked food, and some children's toys here and there. Some of the exceptions to this aren't appropriate. They sell quite a few "Hustler" type magazines and Viagra over the counter knockoffs, with suggestive names like "Raging Bull". While the nice and trustworthy sales guy said that kids wouldn't be allowed to buy them, you can never be so sure that someone with impure intentions wouldn't sell them to a curious teenager for a quick buck. What really makes this stand out from other convenience stores in the area are the hamburgers they serve. The double cheeseburger I bought at Shell was one of the best burgers I've ever tasted. One wonders why someone doesn't apply their recipe at a major restaurant in the area. At about $2.70 (slightly less than listed) for the double cheeseburger and about $1.95 for the cheeseburger, this is one of the few things that is worth less than it's value there. For people who like soda with their meal, they're pretty ambiguous on whether you get a drink with a meal. I did, but I can't say if that's always the case. If you want to take a risk, use a smaller cup so you won't get charged much if you're wrong. I do know that they charge hefty prices for refills, proportional to the size of the cup. Summary: Shell was well-stocked for a convenience store, although it was pretty expensive. My pet peeve is the dirty magazines and "Viagra" like drugs for sale. The employee there was nice, trustworthy, and easy to talk to. Their cheeseburger tastes really good. You should try it. Make sure to know if you'll get a drink with it though.
