The cashier gave no greeting, no smile, no "thank you," no "have a nice day" ... nothing. He simply handed me the bag without saying a word. Wth? That kind of cold, indifferent service really stands out in a customer-facing position. A clean, well-run store loses a lot of goodwill when the final interaction feels that dismissive. Management should seriously look at cashier training and basic customer-service standards. A simple greeting and thank-you cost nothing, but they make a big difference.

Responses that most business owners leave range from 1) none at all 2) disputing the feedback, as ridiculous and stupid as this is, 3) giving lukewarm replies as if by obligation, not choice, 4) acknowledging the stated problems, but not seeking further communication by the reviewer on a private level in order to encourage that patron to return ... But the thing that encourages me to visit and spend my money versus going to the competition are responses like the one left by this co-owner. This is an individual who really cares about the business and understands that without its customers the business evaporates.
