Not very often you find a gas station in a downtown other than small town USA. The lot was large and they did a good job of handling the snow that we got on Saturday. Since you are on the island, it's awesome to have this store for so many years for convenience downtown, but do expect to pay maybe a dollar more than you would on the mainland. But, I really can't fault them for that. They have a full array of everything you'll need from snacks, cigs, beer, pop and more. You'll have to drive in at least once while you're here, or just walk right up to the cash register if you're on foot.

It looks like this was a car repair shop at one time and then converted as you pull right into the store through a big bay door and they have coolers and their shelves of stuff on each side of your car. They have your typical convenience store stuff but the uniqueness of this place's layout is what earned it the four star rating.

Brookys is everything you could want and expect in a gas station/carry out/garage with a drive through and a decent pizza (and other hot menu items). If you're not from the area, getting your pizza at a gas station may sound ridiculous. But trust me, it's worth the experience. And pick it up in the drive through for the full experience. I frequent this Circle K several times a day and for quite awhile now I have begun to notice…read moreseveral things that I think need brought to your attention.  I have even started to make all my trips during the graveyard shift if possible.  The young girl that works the graveyard shift does an outstanding job! The place always looks and smells clean, and I know the coffee and meal deal will be fresh when she's there rather than several hours old. Sometimes she doesn't get to the counter right away because she is ALWAYS cleaning something but she does say she will be right there or acknowledges that she saw you. She is always very friendly unlike many of the other employees. She is usually pretty busy with customers while I am in as well which is surprising since it is middle of the night.  In the morning I am unable to bring my children in with me because one of the employees with long brown hair has quite the potty mouth and I try not to let my children hear that offensive language. I also prefer not to go in the evening because there is a shorter girl with black hair who you always have to wait for to come out from the back and when she does finally come out she is angry to be interrupted and she is always very rude. This weekend I went in for my traditional polar pop and coffee and could not believe how filthy everything was! The floors were disgusting,  the food items looked like they had been spinning for days, the coffee tasted old, there wasn't much coffee to choose from, and the counters were covered and sticky! Of course the rude girl was there and didn't disappoint. She was so rude and snapped at the elderly gentlemen in front of the line I almost walked away but I already had my items. From here on out I will only come into this store during the graveyard shift when I know it will be clean and food will be fresh and I will be greeted with nothing but a friendly face! You need employees like her on every shift! She has definitely been my reason for 4 stars, otherwise it would have been a 1!
