VENDOR REVIEW: SPEEDHUT GAUGES Just want to share my recent experience with "SPEEDHUT GAUGES". If you're looking for good customer service, I suggest you look elsewhere. Sent my speedometer in to upgrade to GPS. After a few weeks, and no word, no notice that it had been shipped, no phone calls requesting any updated shipping information, I finally called them. It turns out they shipped it weeks ago, for reasons unknown, to an address I haven't lived in since 2011. No idea where it went to, but it's gone. Why they didn't return it to the address they received them from, I'll never understand. The gauges were purchased in 2007 so although they were able to match them cosmetically, they replaced the speedometer and tach ( no other way to cosmetically match a speedometer exactly to my old school tach so had to replace both now) with incorrect, unmatching plugs and wiring,which didn't match the earlier harness, and my shop spent an extra four hours on labor trying to make the system work properly again. I had foreseen this issue and discussed this with them beforehand, and they assured me they would supply the old school plugs ... but then sent the wrong ones without bothering to inform me until after they shipped them to my shop. When I expected them to cover my costs for their mistake, they arrogantly refused, so I'm out $500 worth of labor because they screwed up and they really do not care. According to more than one shop, these are Pretty low-quality gauges and one well-known nationally known shop told me every attempted installation they tried resulted in a failure or other problems. If you're looking for quality or if your main concern is having a vendor who has your back...look elsewhere! You responded to my review with inaccurate information. The gauges WERE purchased from your company directly in 2007. You lost my speedometer through your incompetence.. should we now commend you for replacing them with an incompatible replacement that left me with a $500 additional installation expense? The reality is: Speedhut's incompetence resulted in my loss of $500 and they refuse to take responsibility, even AFTER reading this review for the damage that they caused. We got a set of their legacy gauges for a Cobra replica. The gauges are beautiful and they work great. Our tachometer was a little bouncy at first, so I called their customer service. The guy sent me a filter which solved the problem. Their customer service is absolutely the best. Great product, great support. Way better stuff than Autometer gauges. read more
