However, my experience with the employee working the service counter, Walter, was completely unacceptable. ​Walter was incredibly rude, lazy, and flat-out refused to do his job. When I tried to drop off my clothes, he told me that they "don't take clothes in for wash service during his shift." Instead of offering a reasonable explanation, he completely refused to elaborate. I would have been understanding if there was a legitimate new policy shift or a temporary change, but he gave me nothing to go on. ​It was obvious he just wanted to sit outside and smoke with his friends. I live within 2 miles of this location and have gone there many times over the past few years. The machines are always in good working order and the place is clean. It was my go-to spot - until a few weeks ago. I went there late on the Saturday night after Thanksgiving. (I usually have a lot of things to wash and go late to avoid the crowds.) While there, I needed to use the restroom. Unfortunately, there was no toilet paper or paper towels in the one I used. I had tissues in my purse, so I was ok, but I pointed out the issue to the attendant. Apparently, he was offended by my tone and how I "moved (my) hands" because he got angry and began yelling at me about the way I spoke to him and my hand gestures (I never raised my voice, nor did I use offensive words or gestures). He became more and more aggressive and approached me repeatedly to berate me. When he wasn't speaking directly to me, he would continue to complain about me (loud enough for me to hear); often swearing and calling me a b*tch. At this point, it was just the two of us in the building (everyone else was outside or in their cars). I was very nervous, but my laundry was almost finished, so I just kept to myself and avoided talking to or being near him again. I remained calm while everything was going on, but I was pretty shaken by that incident and no longer feel safe going there. read more

Your policy of do not take the cart out in the rain is very confrontational and aggressive. On a rainy night (12/27/24), several customers wanted to use the laundry cart to retrieve their cloths, however the attendant was quite adamant and aggressive, ONLY ENFORCING what she was told by upper management NO CARTS IN THE RAIN!!! The attendant was literally yelling and had a "basket tug-a-war" with a customer trying to enforce NO CARTS IN THE RAIN. This policy or execution has been VERY UNCOMFORTABLE!! Please find another way to either inform the customer or change the policy. It's normally a very pleasant experience at Speed Queen - Candler Road, but tonight was quite the experience. read more

DO NOT COME! I have literally never had a customer service experience as bad as this. The night attendant literally yelled and cursed me out, and two other customers who I didn't know, telling us to "kiss her @$$" and much worse. I visited this laundromat for the first time today in November 2023 and I was given instruction on how to load the the large dryer by one of the attendants, who was actually very friendly and helpful. I set my clothes on a cycle and noticed after some time that the door would open by itself. This appeared to be due to the rubber sealant tube being detached. Another customer told me that this was an ongoing issue and to just put a large metal basket to keep it closed. After watching it for a few minutes, I left to go run an errand. By the time I came back, the night attendant had taken over. When I walked in, she was already in a heated argument with two other customers who were having the same issue that I was earlier. I noticed that the basket in front of the door had been moved and my clothes were all over the floor. I waited until she finished her argument, and asked her if she saw what happened with the dryer I was using. Before I could even finish my sentence, she rudely interrupted me that I had too many clothes in the dryer. I said that it was my first time here and that I had just followed the instructions I was given by the earlier attendant. She then cut me off again to tell me that it was my fault and that I didn't "follow the rules". When I reiterated that I loaded the dryer as instructed, she started yelling at me to kiss her @$$ and that "she had money". She was clearly fed up and having a hard day, nonetheless, it's beyond unacceptable to yell at me because of her frustrations. What's even more sad is that this is an excellent facility and the earlier attendant was very friendly. But they're is no way I'll come back to get screamed at and suspected for asking for basic customer service. I'm not sure who owns this franchise, but they clearly need to make better hiring decisions. read more

I was at the this laundromat today with 4 bags of laundry from approximately 12:30 p m. until approximately 3:30 p.m.... By the time I got done drying my clothes I only had 3 bags of laundry... The missing items were mostly sheets and blankets... Their was a group of hispanics in the laundromat that kept watching me... They came in 2 groups... I suspect they were the culprits because they definitely left with more clothes than they came with... I same them when they were loading their laundry... They used the machines farthest to the back (which happened to be the ones that I used)... After I finished loading my clothes in the washer I left briefly for approximately 10 minutes because the washers lock once you start them... I noticed that the two females were sitting in different locations close to the machines... They periodically looked in my direction nonchalantly as if they were trying not to be noticed... I checked my clothes so I know I had everything when I loaded the dryers... I used 3 dryers so my clothes were done drying at different intervals... Once I collected my clothes I first noticed that one of my laundry bags was missing... Not only did they take the laundry but they took the laundry bag too... Never leave your clothes unattended... I would go as far as to say never take your eyes off of them once you put them in the dryer... This was a Act of opportunity... I'm not sure I'll be coming back to this location anymore... Very frustrated but the items are replaceable... I asked the attendant if they could review the camera footage but he informed me that I would need to file a complaint with the police department and tgey would have to request to review the camera footage... Not sure if these people were citizens because I only heard them talk in spanish... Always be aware of your surroundings and what's going on around you... read more

Very pleased with this laundromat! The staff is wonderful and very welcoming. The business is very clean and open with great lighting and design. There is no shortage of machines and all seem to be working. They have vending and a descent amount of seating. There is folding tables and they also offer same day service and next day service if you don't want to wait around. The best quality of this laundromat was that you don't need coins the machines take card that can be loaded with cash or credit card. They also sell supplies if you happen to forget your own. Almost debating on not buying a washer and dryer and just coming here when I need it. This establishment is wonderful and a great addition to this neighborhood! read more

My daughter and I were in there last night. I used to do laundry there on the regular years ago and decided to go yesterday because laundry was piled up. We needed to get them all done faster. The place was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. I am removing one star for two specific reasons. One of the bathrooms was out of order and the other one had no toilet paper, no toilet seat covers and no soap in the dispenser. With customers being there 1-2 hours, they should make sure they have it stocked. The wild part is that when I went in, the bathroom had just been cleaned based on the seat being up and the chemicals in the toilet. That leads me to believe the items simply were not present. Not to mention that means the employees were in the same boat. The other reason is that there were several children in there and a young man had a gun on him. I saw it when he was lifting his arms to put clothes into a dryer. It made me concerned about being there with my own daughter, who spotted the gun as well. read more

This was my first time going to this laundromat and the facility is great, no complaints. I did however have a problem with the older overnight staff lady. I wasn't sure how to get the laundry card working and she had an attitude assisting me. After we got our load going, my husband and I stepped outside to the car but I forgot the laundry bags inside. He goes back in to get them but the automatic doors are locked. Which is understandable for her safety but she looked at him walk up to the door and proceeded to continue her task as if he wasn't standing there. It's freezing outside as well. When she opened the door she says, "That's yall problem, tryna come wash clothes all late at night. I don't got time for it." Overall the laundromat itself is very nice, clean, and card friendly. On Saturday morning at 4:23am on 4/16/2022 my daughter and I came to do our laundry. It's super cool, because from 12am-5am all the equipment is half off. You guys know this cancer thing is expensive, so we get a deal where we can. With that being said, we come only during these times, and the only time it was interrupted was during lockdown. This morning we come to the doors and all are locked. The gentleman that we have seen numerous times was washing the floor in the back of the store. We asked what's going on? He informed us that we couldn't come in until 5am. What the what?!? How is that possible with a big 24hours open sign on the front? Also we asked if that was so, how would we get our half off. He informed us that we would not be getting it half off! Well, my daughter was outraged. She asked if he could close the store at any time. He responded "yes!" We we're not moved and remained standing outside in the rain, waiting for him to make the only sane decision. When he saw we weren't going anywhere, he opened the doors. We really enjoy coming somewhere we can wash large loads of clothes and at a great price. However, if employees are allowed to open and close at will, this may not be such a great experience. read more

This is seriously the nicest, cleanest, advanced technology laundromat I've ever been to! My first time coming here was a weekday evening around 6:30pm. I was confused on how to load money onto the cards and etc, and the guy behind the counter was nice enough to walk me through step by step. The machines were clean, none were out of order, there's a nice clean waiting area with WiFi, iPads, TVs, working vending machines and etc. the rollcart baskets were all clean and not broken. You can easily load money onto a wash card from these machines that take credit, debit or cash. EVEN BETTER, the machines have a built in lottery system and one day I stuck my card in the machine to load more money on it and I was randomly selected to win $5.00! So it technically paid for a good portion of my wash load that day. That was super cool and I literally didn't do anything but stick my card in the machine. Parking is pretty good if you can get a spot up front. Overall I love it. This will definitely be my go to laundromat when my washer breaks down. Now I will admit that I came back to this location on a Saturday afternoon/evening and was that a BIG mistake! The place was packed, people kids were running wild, machines were out of order because people had overfilled too much laundry detergent in them, there were spills on the floor and etc. I honestly think the people made this place worse on that particular day. I could tell the staff was doing there best to maintain the place but it was a madhouse. Had I not been there on a calmer day before, it might have completely affected my view of the place. But sure enough, I came back again a week later on a weekday and it was back to being nice, calm and clean. Word of advice: if you can't go during the weekdays, then try to go super early on a weekend. If not, you may have a bad experience due to people acting like they don't have any home training. Ok been coming here, spending my money and at first It was the place to go. Then I lost my card, and the problem started. One person said sorry we cant do anything about that, but thw system said we can replace your card with the funds thats why you register the card. After all that was said and done, i finally got a new card with my money. Should have kept it moving then, but i was hard headed and came back. Now skip to today. Just had surgery Monday still in pain, but life must go on so i had to go and wash clothes and where do you think I went, yeah back to the same you shouldn't have gone place. I came into the laundry​ to rent a Uhaul, (p.s. what a great business), I was assisted with my rental by a young lady named Lamia (sorry if I​ spelled it wrong) who was super helpful and nice. I left my wallet and didn't​ have everything I​ needed to rent. she was able to help me locate what​ ​I​ needed and get me on my way. As laundromats go this one is the best. The employees are ALWAYS courteous. The machines are always working. The WiFi works. And they have entertainment for children and adults alike. I've been coming here since they opened and I love it. I've seen an employee having a bad day and still giving the best customer service. Today I was helped by Teresa and Angela.
