The first time I did the Whole Sky Healing arts program, it totally changed my life - no…read moreexaggeration. In 90-days, it helped me overcome a binge eating disorder (ED), quit drugs and alcohol, and get off all my prescription meds by helping me address all the ailments they were prescribed for including ADHD, sleep disorder, depression, suicidal thoughts, appetite issues, and generalized anxiety. The program is not hard. It's all designed around "ease". It helps you to rewire your thinking and change your behavior to heal your body and mind. I understood the power from my very first session. I sat down with Daniel and we discussed why I came - the impetus was the ED. Without judgement, he offered feedback on my speech patterns that ultimately helped rewire my beliefs and my ability to overcome all of my health issues, starting with the ED. I laid down on his massage table and he gave what I'd describe as a mix of massage with sound medicine using sound bowls, singing, and indigenous instruments. For my ED, he focused on pressing between my thumb and forefinger, bringing my attention to the act of unconscious eating/moving food into my face with my hand. It worked and I became more aware of my eating patterns. I'll also note that just the massage would have been worth it. It relaxed my neck and back for about two weeks where a normal massage would last 2-3 days for me. I was so sold that I sold my piano to pay for my first 90-day program. Each session that followed was a a major leap forward. Now, I have been going for almost two years and everything has changed for the better, even beyond what was previously mentioned. I lost 20lbs, started a regular yoga and meditation practice, identified that I was in an abusive marriage and made millions of dollars which enabled me to safely leave that relationshop. Now I have my own business and my own house, and I'm starting to rebuild a healthy life, free of codependency. This is the outcome of Whole Sky Healing Arts helping me establish healthy thinking and healthy actions. The mechanism - sound healing bodywork sessions similar to the one I described, nature walks, gratitude and journaling practices, cold plunge, spiritual rituals, breathe work, meditation, and something similar to life coaching. These things all helped me heal my scarcity mindset, learn self love, change my language and thinking to be more optimistic and empowering, practice healthy boundaries, and improve my self worth. I can't thank Whole Sky Healing Arts enough for the gifts and guidance as I head into year two with Daniel, and take my shot at this new lease on life. LFG!!
