At the store, employees are rude and grumpy. They act like they are doing you a favor to help you. The company itself is bad news. If you have a problem, expect a 45-60 minute wait time before someone picks up the phone. You overpay for what you get. read more

Today, in 90-degree heat and direct sunlight, four senior citizens--three women and one man, ranging in age from 70 to 88--were waiting outside for the Spectrum store to open at 10:00 a.m. Staff members could clearly see us through the windows but chose not to unlock the doors a few minutes early so we could get out of the dangerous heat. After the store opened, I politely suggested to two employees, Hope and Ryan, that in the future it might be wise to allow elderly customers inside when weather conditions pose a health risk. Ryan explained that company policy does not allow it and said we should have left and come back later. I responded that this wasn't the humane thing to do, especially since prolonged exposure to extreme heat can quickly become a medical emergency for older adults. His response was that it would have been our responsibility, not Spectrum's. I understand businesses have policies, but good customer service also requires compassion and common sense. Refusing to help vulnerable customers avoid dangerous heat sends the message that policies matter more than people. Went to the store in Owosso to get a tablet and they didn't have them in store. Thry only carried 2 Galaxy tablets and we're also unable to order the tablet to be picked up in store. They contacted the Mt Pleasant store to see if they had one in stock, Mt Pleasant store manager stated they did. I asked several times to clarify the model as I didn't want the A9+ or the S9 Fe. I wanted the S9+ ARE you sure? I know there's similar model names, can you please make sure because Mt Pleasant is an hr away. Yes. She checked 3 times. Okay. I go to Mt Pleasant, they only have the A9+ and S9 Fe. My issue is your job is attention to detail and especially model numbers in this job, and the store manager should know what they carry and don't carry. So not only did I waste time coming to the store, I have to wait additional days for ordering online. I would have ordered online anyway but I was out of town and wanted to pick up in store. You're always so polite and respectful when I go there only thing that sucks though is that Spectrum doesn't have direct phone contact with them, like for instance I went in there to upgrade my phone but they didn't have the phone I wanted yet and didn't know when they were getting in. Charter is scarily similar to that godawful Comcast recording. They have a lot of subcontractors, which makes for a lot of confusion and unnecessary work on the customer's end with initial set-up. My experience thus far has been like this. Another thing is endless junk mail and phone calls asking if you want to bundle. Breaking up this monopoly in the mid-Michigan area would be great. read more

Walked into Spectrum last night and both attendant were busy helping other clients I politely waited in line for them to be done I made eye contact several times with the woman attendant and she said nothing.when the other customer left She got very snotty and ask did we check in there was no sign indicating you had to sign in and in the 10 minutes I waited in line she could've indicated we needed to sign in! So she Very rudely said go to the screen and get signed in! I asked what screen where there's no signs there's nothing except for a random screen as you walk in that could've been a attendance desk! So she finally gets up and shows it to us but acted like we were stupid and reprimanded My husband and I! Luckily the male attendant was free by the time we got called up or else I would've walked out and not dealt with her! he was very nice, Knowledgeable and helpful I will not come back to your store due to that lady! And the fact you can't put up some signs or direction had the lady just indicated in the first place we could've been signed in and Not had other people go ahead of us! read more

I am absolutely disgusted with this company after having to deal with them for the past 4 years of service. On 8 different occasions did I ask them to remove me from their call list for promotional services. I also called them to ask to cancel my account for the summer, as I was moving away for 3 months, and instead of letting me cancel and then open a new account upon my return (which would have been the same monthly price that I had prior), they assured me that if I merely suspended my account and paid a lower monthly rate for those three months, it would end up being more affordable and I would have a cheaper monthly bill. To my surprise, this past month, my bill increased by $15, which I was NOT informed of, and they will not award me the lower price, as I didn't close my account (which they told me to do). Shady practices and frustrated customers, for average service at best. I'm canceling and finding a new provider. read more
