Had to move out of state quick, turned my equipment back into the store. month and a half later i get a call that my service is in danger of being shut off, they never shut my service off, and then turned the bill into collections. Then when i notice and call, they refuse to fix the bill and leave me to pay it or take a ding on my credit im rebuilding. glad i never have to use this company again as i moved to a state far away from them. read more

LOL Erica, was kind and patient in troubleshooting the fact that unknown to us we were without a land line for several months. We were able to resolve the issue by phone and she showed honest concern to our issue. Wished I could say the same about Direct TV. I would recommend you don't do business with this company. Got behind in my payment 1 month. Called them to tell them I made payment for past due amount. $94.89 . Told them my bank processed payment om7/3/2020. They said it takes them 7 business days to process payments. Service disconnected 7/8/2020. I'm now going with Frontier for half the price. read more

I spent almost an hour, calling them to just pay my bill. This AI voice, once I got to it, took all the information on my debt card, three times! (That is calling back the no. 3 times ) The first two said they couldn't process my payment and did I want to use another card. I asked to speak to a customer service representative, and upon the transferring process the same AI voice came back with "there will be a change of 5.35 and additional amounts charged for time if you want to proceed"! You have got to be kidding me! !! Anyhow, I got another telephone no. from Google with the same AI voice, the process went slow but processed. Also, I have been a customer for God only knows how long. They increased my monthly payment over 10 dollars, I called because I am a senior citizen and they said they are sorry ,but I can call this no.!!! Talk about a company that has deterioted. I would rate Spectrum a negative "10" if I could. Their products are terrible, extremely high priced compared to comparable companies, reliability is terrible, service is horrible and customer service is the absolute worse. They are quick to cut off your services when you finally wise up and cancel their crappy service but they're equally quick to charge you after you cancel. This company deserves to go down in flames, which should be happening pretty soon. read more

Has anyone written a decent review for Time Warner Cable. Regionally the answer is no. I'm joining the one star band wagon. I asked for television and Internet only but was told home phone would be included for free. I didn't need that option. Turns out it's not f ree. No big deal I just asked to have it taken off. My bill spiked $50 because I didn't bundle. I called them on online prices and had the $50 extra charge changed. So there's some pricing issues and sales issues. Additionally the free installation required a return visit because the technician apparently needed HDMI cable and asked if I had any lying around. I did not so I had some connection problems. Don't complain. They don't care. Just pay your bill and deal with it. After all no one needs cable. It's just a luxury. read more

Customer service is the worst. If you cancel within your month they refuse to give you back your own money. The actual internet is never what you are paying for. They increase the price without notice and also when they said they would not do that. If I could give a negative 10 star I would. I also just learned that you can dispute your bill in the first 60 days. But they don't tell you that I really can't stand companies that steal and won't make correct decisions. read more

This 5 star is based on my in store visit. I went to the office to return my modem for internet (I purchased my own). The $10 fee was waived since I had only kept it for a day. The customer service young lady was very pleasant, the lobby is very clean with tv while you wait, and a bottle of free water and mints were offered. That was a nice touch. :-) read more

I was unhappy with my old service which I'd had for 20 years & I had been seeing all these Spectrum ads which were very clever & so I thought, " why not give them a try?" My first experience with their chat line should have been an indicator as to what sort of service I was to experience with them but I continued on to try their 30 day free trial. I explained to the service rep that I was very unhappy with my dish provider & that I didn't care about certain programming but that I did want at least 2 premium channels . She quoted me a price and assured me that it would cover the parameters of what I was looking for but that I would have to get home phone and change my internet provider to them. I agreed to do so & they sent a service rep out 2 days later. Within the first week I had two shutdowns that lasted hours with no explanation & not weather related and when I called they told me that the cable should be back on shortly; however their definition of shortly and mine vary a great deal since it was six to seven hours before it came back on! It's fortunate that I'm not the kind of person that watches a ton of TV or I would have been climbing the wall. All in all, in the first 30 days, my cable went out at least 5 times. On top of that my remotes were not responsive & sometimes I had to wait about a minute or two for them to react to what button I was pushing &, while that doesn't seem like a great deal of time, when you're actually waiting for it to happen & sitting here, it seems like forever! I had to call Spectrum 10 times in that month for one issue or another & one of the issues was that I discovered there were no premium channels. When I called, the person I spoke to said that I needed to pay extra for them and I didn't order that package! I advised the person that I was speaking with that, when I first ordered Spectrum, the person I spoke to assured me that there would be premium channels for the price they quoted me, & I told the person I was speaking with that evening that I wanted to cancel then and there. Suddenly he became very solicitous and wanted to bargain with me to keep me as a customer! He offered to give me 2 premium channels "for free" for a month & then said I would have to be charged $20 thereafter until the end of my discount period. I agreed with him at that moment just to get the channels but was angry that my initial sales rep had lied to me when setting up the sale just to get me in the door. Another thing I did not like that I had always had with Dish Network but didn't have with Spectrum was that I couldn't fast forward on-demand programming & had to sit through commercials while watching an on-demand show. I found that extremely annoying after years of being able to fast forward commercials. At the end of the 30 day trial period, with all the problems I had experienced, I determined that I did not want to stay with Spectrum so I called them to cancel. By that time I was on a third bill with them &, according to them, I owed them more than $400! I didn't understand how my bill got that high when I was still on a trial period but I cancelled none-the-less, & I was still within 30 day trial. The man I spoke with tried unbelievably hard to get me to stay with them and offered everything but to spend a weekend with me to get me to stay, but I was determined to cancel. Once they realize you want to leave they are extremely solicitous in trying to keep you as a customer, and if they applied some of that customer service while you're still with them, they might be a much better company! When I had Frontier (Fios) reconnected, I couldn't do it myself because Spectrum, when they first came out, had actually cut the outside coax cable instead of just disconnecting it when they connected their internet service so to make it maximally inconvenient if we decided to not stay with them. It's that kind of move that makes them a company that you don't want to deal with anymore! On top of that, once you've made the determination that you don't want to stay with them, they don't pick up their equipment or send a box to forward it back to them. You have to disconnect their equipment yourself and bring it back to their office, where you stand in line with one person working the counter to return it. Spectrum Customer Service--BAD Spectrum Advertising---GOOD A little PS to my original review: when I got my 1st bill from my new ISP, they charged me $85 to come out and reconnect my coax since we couldn't figure out why it wasn't working via phone. I got that cut in half but suggest anyone considering Spectrum to follow the installer around to make sure they do not cut the coax at the entry point to the home! read more

Bill kept increasing without a change in services. No explanation for why the bill kept going up! We had the lowest cable package and internet but yet a ONE MONTH bill was over $300. Odd service fees they couldn't explain, and double billing one month that never got completely resolved. We left and got satellite. Watch your bill closely. We came from Frontier to TWC/Spectrum. We had it for 1 year at a great price but that went up over $40 after 1 year. Also, to trying to speak to someone in customer service is not acceptable. I have tried too many times, being transferred from number to another number then get disconnected. Also called number they told me that would be able to help. Over 5 hours in 1 day attempting to speak to someone. Never happened and never going to happen. Think twice about using this service. Very dissatisfied. read more

I am not a spectrum customer. I tried to become one today, but their online site would not bring up my address (it showed my neighbor's but not mine). When I tried using their online chat system (twice) the system simply ended the chat in the middle of my discussion with their online representative. Go with Direct TV! We started our bill at $110/month and in 2 years, our bill gradually went up to $250. After 3 attempts, and tens of representatives to try and get our bill figured out, they just started hanging up on us. Our bill was filled with unwanted ads ons and charges. They had no response, just sorry but that's the way it is. We dealt with the same thing in Seattle for 3 years with Charter, which is the same company. Please don't make the same mistake we made. Getting internet service from this company is a waste of your money and service. I moved had one provider and the next thing I know I was stuck with this company. Ahhhhh I don't think so... out of 7 days only maybe 2-4 days my internet even works I use wifi for my phone but every moth I exceed my data (I have unlimited but it shows once I go past a certain amount) why in the hell is my data being used at all when I'm at home 90% of my day. I am writting a good review for Spectrum, is not the company that should get the bad review, Spectrum is a good company I used to work for them, and I love it. but unfortunately that is the way it reflects, this is a wonderful cable company that cares about their customers and have the best interest in the service that they offer. They have top of the line training for their customers service employees, they expect and train their employees to be extremely efficient and knowledge about the services that they offer, unfortunately management has a lot to do with it because they allow their employees to give this kind of treatment to the customers, not thinking that the customer is the one that is paying their check. read more

It's great when your DVR dies and deletes all of your shows. No biggie right, they will replace it...5 days later. Then the box gets here and they downgraded my equipment. Now the menus and DVR interface looks like an Atari. And they forgot to "turn off the work order" so the box would not activate until I called them again. What horrible service and a slap in the face. Their equipment breaks and then I get down-graded. You would think that they would want to take care of their customers when it is their equipment issues. Guess not. read more

This is the worst cable company I have dealt with. We tried the internet service for 2 weeks and it was terrible. I am still waiting for my refund from the rest of the month we paid in advance. We have gotten the complete run around between going into their ghetto office and being told we will have to call the 800 number, and calling the 800 number and being told to go back to the office. Where do I start with TWC, now Charter Spectrum. For 2 months I tried to disconnect service because at the end of our first year, their discounts expired and our bill shot up (hilarious considering that they have Kevin Nealon dressed as a space chimp touting how other companies do this, but not them...LIARS!) So, after patiently waiting for the new Charter Spectrum rollout (a total disaster, btw), I got a rep on the phone on 9/22. I told her that whatever the new plan, I needed 3 things...HBO, my DVR and their bundled TV, Internet and Phone. After about 8 minutes on hold, the rep came back and told me that she had gotten me on a new plan, got my bill down to $145 mo. and it included all my channels, internet, etc. She made no mention of the DVR, so I specifically asked if that included the DVR and she said "yes", then proceeded to tell me that I would keep my old DVR, because the new ones would have priced me out of the $145 price range. I then decided to add Showtime for $5 more per month, thanked her and went on my way. That evening, I sat down to eat dinner and watch a show on the DVR. To my surprise, there was no DVR available. I tried through another TV, through the app, etc. My DVR was not working, so I called tech support. Tech support tried unsuccessfully for about 20 minutes to add "codes" to get my DVR working. They escalated to the next level of support, who didn't even get on the phone with me, they simply stated that I needed to be referred back to the department that made the changes to my account earlier in the day. After being dumped blindly from tech support into the "retention department" queue, my call was answered by a retention rep, from the department, that had earlier in the day, given me my fantastic new pricing and said I would stay on my existing equipment. After spending a few minutes explaining to this rep what had happened, he advised that according to his notes on the account, my DVR service had been removed earlier in the day and I had been migrated to one of their new Charter Spectrum plans. I advised that this was not what I had been told and asked to speak with a supervisor. I was told that none were available and that he could take my telephone number and they'd call me back within 24 hours. At this point, I was calm, but angry. I asked him to just put me back on the previous plan until I could figure out how I wanted to proceed, to which he replied, he couldn't do that. He advised that I had been grandfathered into the old plan and that once I agreed to move to the new plan, there was no going back. To which I replied, I was lied to, I was never told I'd lose my DVR and that I wanted someone there to pull the recorded call and listen to my converstation. He basically said that there was nothing I could do. I again asked for a supervisor and was told again, not going to happen. I asked him to place a disconnect order for 12 days out and asked for the callback from the supervisor (almost 48 hours have passed and still no supervisor callback). So, Charter is pushing you onto their new plans which are quite honestly a 3 year step back in time. They are the same price for us, but use inferior hardware, which likely saves them money. I did call back into the retention department the next morning, I'd cooled down and was going to give them another shot to make things right. After over an hour on the phone with a different rep, I was again unable to speak to a supervisor (this rep told me that there was nothing a supervisor could do for me that he couldn't...I guess they don't care about or take action against employees that lie...likely got their employees from the ones fired from Wells Fargo). After my call on the morning of 9/23, I lost my access to HBOgo and I no longer have "On Demand" service. So they stripped me of my DVR, took away my ability to watch the shows I lost on my DVR and took away my access to On Demand programming. FIOS is being installed next week. read more

Wifi is constantly going out even with a booster. I've lived in two locations with spectrum and each time the wifi has been terrible.

i returned my equipment today to the 556 Birch location. I had my daughter help carry in all the boxes for 4 tv's and a phone ect.. the woman working in there was not nice. the security man just sat there and didn't offer help, like opening the door seeing us with our hands full.. the lady didn't say anything except "put the stuff in the window". after she handed me the receipt, didn't say thanks or anything.. so glad Ii'm NOT a TWC customer any longer! read more

I had previously posted a review about Time Warner and how I was disappointed with them. It has been a few years now, and I went to Frontier thinking I would be happy, which turned out to be a grave mistake. Now I am back with Spectrum and have been for almost a year now. The company has made a great turn around. Not only did they give me a great deal for a great service, but they stayed committed to their word and have not charged me any additional fees or charges. I am so happy with the Spectrum service, that I wanted to thank them by letting everyone know that if they live in the area, it would be wise to speak with Spectrum about the programs that they have to offer.
