Internet speed 0.1% of what I was told. Called for assist, got someone who didn't know how to help. Keeps dropping service. Chat also no help. Automated line assumes reset will fix it! then hangs up with a thank you. I'm done with them. T-Mobile Internet now available in my area and I'm switching ASAP. read more

Internet occasionally will go out but your still expected to pay for complete month. When time to turn in equipment you have to wait in a long line. They don't pro-rate so they are making me pay for a full month because I had service for one day. I will never go back to this company. read more

This is the worst company I have ever worked with. They stole a LOT of my money. I tried to cancel multiple times and every time I was charged more and more money even tho they said I was done paying. I will never work with this company again. I would go internet-less before even thinking about calling them. This was not my worst internet experience with a company. This is my worst experience with ANY company. If I could leave a zero I would. I'm so glad I moved out of that awful state (WASHINGTON) so I don't have to deal with this company being the only internet provider. I noticed my bill keeps going up constantly for my internet service. I called Spectrum to see if I could get into a promotion or discount. I have been with Spectrum for years, have 5 mobile lines, a home phone line and internet through them. If you are a new customer, Spectrum most likely has you covered. If you are an existing customer, they kind of make you feel like a burden. They don't want to give you a deal to keep you as a customer. The deal they had for me was $120 more than I am paying now. Now, I am no rocket scientist, but that sure as hell doesn't sound like a deal. Maybe if enough people left and went to Ziply, they may get their act together. read more

Went to Spectrum on Columbia Ctr Blvd to change the name on my account. It's currently in my 93 year old mother's name. I was told by an employee there that I needed to bring in a utility bill with my name and address on it. So I did just that. I was then told that I needed to bring in my 93 year old mother along with her identification. I told that person (supposedly a manager) that one of the employees told me to bring in a utility bill. He said 'No they didn't '. He made me feel like a liar. Not to mention my bill keeps creeping up with NO CHANGES in my service. I don't like Spectrum. I think they are crooks and the left hand doesn't seem to know what the right hand is doing (or saying!). read more

Thank goodness Ziply is coming to town to provide some competition. Here's why: I've had Spectrum for just over two years and they've been fine as long as I could get a discounted deal. Here's why I'm switching to Ziply: 1. After a promo period ends, prices start to rise by more than ten dollars EACH MONTH. 2. We got a "reserved" promo offer in the mail. Call in to redeem offer today. Spectrum customer associate says that deal is only for new customers. I say "then why did I get a piece of mail from your company telling me we have a reserved offer for (said deal)?" Associate finds out I only have internet and not a bundle, so wants to verify my information. Since the account holder is my wife, even when I provided the correct phone number and address, they still *had* to talk to my wife. 3. The best part? With the promo ($45 for internet and $45 for cable), it is also an EXTRA $20/MONTH FOR FREE LOCAL CHANNELS. The total did not come out to $90/month, it was closer to $135/month. Decided to move to a bigger apartment in the same complex so it should've been an easy move. I'd been with Charter/Spectrum for years without issue. Since we were moving I decided to get ahead of things and cal to make sure we had a guy to set up our internet on the day we moved, but I was told they don't do that anymore and it was all self install. Cool. Fine. I can do that. Fast forward to moving day. We went and traded in our old modem for the new one they said we had to have and took it home. I followed the instructions to a T and nothing worked. After over an hour on hold waiting for a representative we were told that our apartment wasn't even set up for Spectrum service WHICH WOULDVE BEEN EASILY DISCOVERED IF YOU SENT OUT SOMEONE TO INSTALL LIKE YOU ALWAYS USED TO. now I can't get internet for 3 days because y'all are too lazy and cheap to pay employees to take care of your customers needs! My wife and I were LITERALLY on the verge of signing us both up for your mobile service TODAY, but I decided to think about it since our contract with Verizon just ended. Went to pay my bill today. There was 4 people working. 3 were chatting with each other. There were 5 of us waiting to pay. Then when I finally got helped the guy asks for my ID. WTF? I've had service with them for 30 plus years. I've never been asked for ID. I've only needed my phone number. I'm sorry but if someone comes in an wants to pay my bill, LET THEM!!!!! do not bother dealing with this store if you are dropping off a payment. They will not process it in a timely fashion. I dropped off a payment Monday before Thanksgiving and they still have not posted my payment. I called Spectrum customer service becauee the store does not answer the phone to ask why its not posted. They would not help me and advised me to GO BACK TO THE STORE!!! What?!!! To date the payment has not posted now they will apply late charges to boot. Time to get a different service. read more

I dont usually take the time to write negative reviews. Positive ones ya for sure I do...but today's experience in the Spectrum Mobile store really honestly irked me to my core. The place was packed but the atmosphere was great and we got through to a rep quickly. But that's when trouble arises. We went up to do an early upgrade as I'd paid off 50% of original phone and at that point an upgrade is FREE. They didn't have the color I wanted for the new Note10+ which wasn't a show stopper but I felt like maybe she should of said something about not having an option other then black before she told me she was going in back to get my new phone. Leaving me wondering why I wasn't asked which color I wanted. But..whatever what REALLY ticked me off..... I realize they make commission when upgrading or selling phones. I sold phones for years. I get it. And dont at all mind supporting employees recieving these incentives. I think it's awesome. What isn't awesome is putting that incentive above customer service and going as far as LYING to loyal paying customers for the sake of a few bucks in your pockets. Which left us frustrated, confused and rather irritated we drove over 30 minutes to do this transaction for NOTHING.... Here's where it went way down hill..she rang it up she told me my free phone/upgrade costs would only cost me the amount for the taxes on the item. Being an Oregonian not taxed I wasa certainly not happy about having to pay for taxes and even more so when that amount was "only" $99. I said forget it we'll do it online where we wont be charged taxes...and that's when she informs me I wont be able to do the upgrade online. That you only can use that promo/free upgrade for in store purchases. At first I sorta believed her but was skeptical. Either which way I knew I wasnt about to spend $100 for a up front "free product". After getting home I looked online and learned she was full of crap and only said that to make a commission off us. Sad customer service right there. She outta be ashamed of herself. And if not already well maybe this review might help that. And help others not suffer the same scenario as I did. read more

Terrible service! I have an LG TV. I ordered service and they promptly arrived to install, but could not get it to work. They came back several times and still could not get it to work. They ripped out my existing wiring, rewired and even tried wireless streaming with no result. They left a rats nest of wires on the side of my house. After several months of no tv, one of the phone agents informed me their ap is not compatible with LG TVs. All the time I was being billed. Seems to me someone would have figured that out sooner. They said my bills would be credited and to go buy a Roku box. They came back and the installer said they were not compatible with Roku and put in a cable box. Still didn't work. Still billing me. One of the phone reps finally figured out they had me on streaming service and this is not compatible with their boxes and suggested I go buy a Roku box???? After many phone calls and many months of billing with no service, they finally gave me a $30 credit. I asked for a refund back to beginning as promised and they said couldn't do it because I hadn't complained enough. I'm switching to Dish TV. They don't do what they say and they have trouble connecting to LG TVs. Beware! read more

for all the people saying ohh ziply is better and spectrum sucks blah blah you guys don't understand internet keep in mind ziply will only provide fiber to those who live near those service terminals if you don't have it you can't get it and if you want it that bad expect to be quoted out of your pockets! YES your pockets. dsl would be your next option for internet those that don't understand dsl it runs off of old telephone lines that are no longer any good and in some areas corroded to the core if you decided to go with that option be even more prepared for worse service I hate dealing with customers that complain about little issues here and there you don't have to go inside to pay that's why they have an app for it now and for my older generation if you can't move forward in technology expect to be left behind it's the sad truth nobody is going to pause for you hell make your grandkids or kids help you it's not hard. spectrum is reliable I've had them all my life in different locations and never had issues don't let these people talk you into thinking your going to experience any other treatment with a different provider especially if you don't understand the system and the way these internet companies work read more

I am currently being charged for a monthly service on a phone I never received for the past 4 months! I have called to dispute the charges and have been given the run around. I was told to call customer service, customer service told me to go to the store, the store told me they would resolve the issue and they would get back to me. The never resolved the issue let alone give me a status update. I called back and put in a complaint with a manager in customer service and they gave me the in store Assistant Manager's direct number. He told me he would have it resolved and to follow up with him. (That was over 3 weeks ago!) I called the Assistant Manager again today and he told me I have the wrong number. This is so frustrating...how hard is it to stop the monthly charges and credit me back the $75 that your wrongly charged me?! Apparently you have to get the Federal Trade Commission involved to get anything resolved. read more
