I was in a strange/odd mood when I stopped by. Today also ... started out with a migraine then to the dentist and got a tooth pulled! Achy pain... I should have left the tooth alone. :( Anyway, the person I met here was very knowledgeable/helpful and friendly. I believe he was the manager/owner? Highly recommend this place. They also offer certain days of the week... free compost tea! The location is a little far for me but if I am in the area will be stopping by. Please support this business! read more

My friend who is a gardener/landscaper told me to look for a hydroponics store, so we could find some starter trays since we had trouble finding it elsewhere. I had to look up incubator/propagator everywhere, and I think for Home Depot, they sell them in bulk and have to be ordered for pick-up in store. Anyway, we went to Walmart and the Dollar Tree, and I don't think they had it. This store has a little bit of everything from 99.9% alcohol, 30% vinegar, fertilizers, seeds, fans, dehumidifiers, pruners, etc. They also have Clonex in 1 qt, 1 gallon, and 5 gallons, as well as in mist form. It has a distinct smell, but the employee was friendly and chill. We have been using the supplies we got here to clone some plumbagos and coffee berry plants. The goal is to also try to clip some Mexican elderberries, too. There is a lot of moisture, though, so definitely make sure to vent properly. My friend got me some shears here, and I believe they are $7. I haven't used them yet, but I will update once I do, and hopefully we will be back because he said some of the stuff is decently priced. read more

I was looking for some net pots for some plants I'll be switching from soil to leca. I really avoid Amazon when I can so I try to support local businesses. Spectrum Hydro had what I needed & then some ! They had all the pots, & I picked up 5" & 3". Also picked up some foliage spray & a jug of calmag. The store has a lot & I am mad at myself for ordering foliage plus on Amazon, as these guys carry it ! Next time I'll buy it here. They sell a bag of fox farm for the lowest price - $12 if I remember right. That alone is worth the trip here ! I got a discount for my first visit & everyone was so pleasant to deal with. Will return ! read more

I drove there to purchase Fox Farms Potting Soil and was running a few minutes late. I called them to tell them what I wanted and I would arrive (per my Navi) 2 minutes after they closed. They were so nice! They waited for me, and when I got there they had my order ready to go. They also loaded it all in my trunk!!! What company could do anything better than them! I highly recommend!!! PS For some reason Yelp is not also letting me select 'Value' but I wanted to mention that their price was better than anyone's around! read more

My must stop for quality soil. Foxfarm soil for less than $15 unheard of. Everyone was nice and very helpful.

Great prices...way lower than Home Depot and Lowe's. Staff also very friendly worth the drive to me

I am so glad I found this place. This is my first year gardening, and my plants are not doing so well. I came here and bought magical dirt. 3 days later and I have baby green beans on my plant. The workers are so friendly and helpful. And the prices are great. I told my mom about it and she drove from Corona to buy the same soil (foxfarm) . I was a little concerned, considering it's a hydroponic store, but she didn't notice. She said everyone was so nice to her. Thank you. I will definitely be back read more

Amazing service with amazing staff. Could ask for a better and more knowledgeable place to get supply's.

I dropped by on a panic on the sight of spider mites on my beautiful thai constellation. I'm a systemic pest control type of person but I realized the granules didn't work on MITES. I knew that this shop was catered towards Marijuana growers AND I TRUSTED THAT THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING when it came to pests AND OMG GOOD THING I DID. The gentleman who helped me was SUPER helpful and he really took the time to explain and advise me on the correct products to buy. The prices are really affordable tbh (I would say it's really on par with anything you'll get at a nursery, if not better) and they got samples that they're happy to give you. I will continue to come here at the first sight of pests. THANK GOD I FOUND THIS PLAAAAACE!! read more

Friendly and helpful staff. Good prices. They have a lot of supplies for seed starting at very affordable prices. Members get 10% discount on most items (not bagged soils though). read more

Straight up the place to go if you're a growing looking for nutrients! Knowledgeable and friendly

I called to see if they had SNS 209 and my question was answered with the price and size of the bottle as well. I went in and was greeted right away with a smile. When I was at checkout the gentleman at the counter that originally greeted me explained I could get a discount with providing my name and number which I appreciated because the product was a bit pricier. They had so many great products there from soil to fertilizer to pesticides. They also had grow lights and humidifiers. I'll definitely be going back! read more

Spectrum Hydro is my one stop shop for everything I need for my garden. The guys that work here have tons of experience and are super helpful when it comes to working out any problems I'm seeing in my garden. They have been generous and very helpful considering I'm sort of a beginner and hobby gardener. They've helped "talk me off a bridge" when I was ready to waste money on the wrong items and totally made my hobby much more enjoyable. I recommend stopping by if you need grow bags and fresh soil, any sort of hydro nutrient, lighting and even plumbing parts. On Tuesday and Fridays they even offer free compost tea brewed from in-house worm-bins. Did you catch that? FREE COMPOST TEA I don't even need to keep my own worm bin these guys rock! Parking is easy and the location couldn't be better right off Carmenita and the 5 freeway. Usually open pretty late and on the weekends. Give them a call ahead of time or check their website which has a lot of their inventory in case you are looking for something in particular. Thanks again Spectrum you guys help keep me going -and keep me growing! read more

Spectrum Hydro - Go to this guy Taylor! Practices social distancing and hygiene and very knowledgeable! Very friendly and carries a great conversation. - Hydroponics Near Me - Santa Fe Springs, California

A year ago, I had no idea how to grow hydroponically. Thanks to Taylor, Casey, and their friendly crew, I was able to have consecutive successful grows and have a great time learning the ropes. I did DWC (deep water culture), aquaponic system, and coco coir. They helped me out with everything. Everything I needed was found and purchased here at Spectrum Hydo. From nutrients (they have a great selection of synthetic and organic options), growing media (hydroton, coco coir, soil, rock wool, etc), lighting, automation, system components, accessories, tools, you name it. If they don't have it, ask them if they can order for you. They recently expanded and are still renovating the shop a bit, but it's always very clean and organized. Plenty of parking in the front. If you are new to hydroponics, come by and poke around & ask some questions. If you're a veteran to growing, come by and see how much better these guys can service you! I won't go anywhere else. read more

Located off of the 5 Freeway and Carmenita exit. I needed fertilizer for my home garden and called three hydroponic shops around the area. This place had the best deals for the FoxFarm brand. Casey was very helpful and patient. With gained knowledge of gardening, I walked away with more than anticipated. Looking forward to seeing the fruits (and vegetables) of our labor. Will definitely be back for more! :D read more
