I went in for a gloss and trim, I have curly hair and after she washed it she said she HAD to straighten it to cut it. Wish that was discussed first, it came out to $180. And I was there for 4 hours because it seems like only one lady does all the hair.

My experience was interesting. This was back in June of this year, I was debating on leaving a review but if I knew what I know now, I wouldn't have gone to this place. First, I looked for pricing information and couldn't find any (red flag imo). I looked on the website, Vagaro app and then I ended up having to contact her on Instagram for pricing & availability. She said a haircut includes a wash and it'd be $75. I also explained my hair type (thick & straight) just in case she could quote me more accurately, since I know some stylists charge more for thick hair. I don't know what the deal is with setting up appointments for this place since they don't follow a schedule. She'd be hopping back and forth between various clients, never actually giving her undivided attention to one client from start to end of the service. She's had to excuse herself to attend another client quite a few times. Seems like she's the only one able to style hair and her staff are just assistants in just setting up for her. Basically a one woman show. I was there for more than 4 hours, I just wanted layers. When it came to check out, I was expecting around $75 dollars each for my mom and me, because that's what she said the price would be.. Eugenia glanced at my mom and then at me. She charged my mom $95 and charged me $150+. For the service and lack of attention, it wasn't worth it. Seems like she's making up prices on the spot. Maybe I'm one of the few that has an issue with how she runs her business, since she has many great reviews.. Regardless, just be careful. The space itself is nice, clean and luxurious vibe to it. If you want the stylist to attend to you for the entirety of the service from start to finish, this place is not it.

Well, whoever booked my appointment and chose my stylist chose to ignore my request and book me with a stylist who is a new grad. That was the first mistake. I went in there, asking for highlights and to go back brunette because my hair was auburn. So I wanted a simple brunette with a partial highlight to add a bit of dimension. Long story short, my hair has so many different colors going on, some parts are overly processed, and then the top parts were not lifted for long enough and are still very copper because she was very slow at placing foils. I was there for over four hours, and this is the result? And at the bare minimum, nobody should walk out of a professional salon with color stains all over their face. * My hair stylist was Gena Day * When I called about my concerns, the manager offered to have me come in and fix it but only gave me 1 time slot availability which was not a time I was available for. So she ended up refunding me 50% of what I paid. The crazy part is she didn't even agree that my hair looked like crap and she defended the work. I think it's simple to say there were mistakes performed and apologize. But whatever.

I appreciated the vibe and calmness of the salon. The receptionist was welcoming and pleasant. I was offered a drink while I waited. The shampoo experience was lacking. The water was freezing cold & the young lady who washed my hair kept getting water all over me. It's not the end of the world & I understood she was freshly graduated. I wish that she would've done a better job massaging my scalp. I also wasn't a fan of her adding conditioner to my roots as my hair is naturally oily. Again, not a big deal. As for the blow dry & light style, she did well & I was happy with how it turned out. I did book another appointment but not to with the same lady. I think she just needs more experience. Overall, I would recommend this salon. The other staff I saw were super friendly and really listened to their clients wants.
