They are more than likely only on Groupon for exposure because this place is top notch. Every staff member I encountered here was great. On the day of my surgery Dr Stetson walked in to introduce hisself. He spoke with me and my mom. I was very surprised they allowed my mom to come back for this part since I did have my surgery during "Covid times." So glad they did tho. I was so nervous I thought I was gonna walk out of there. Michelle walked in the room and told me everything was gonna be fine. Dr Stetson did a good job at telling me step by step exactly what he was doing every step of the way. He has a calm and reassuring voice. I would choose Diamond all over again if I had to. I followed my aftercare instructions to a t and had no problems. I have entertained the idea of getting LASIK years ago, but after finding out that I was not a candidate for LASIK and had to get PRK instead, I was turned off. The recovery period was quite frightening. But one morning while listening to the Bert Show, he mentioned that he was going to Diamond to get his eyes redone. I researched the company and was impressed by the reviews. I scheduled a consult and things just took off from there. I had a consult on a Tuesday, and was getting surgery on that following Thursday. I will admit that Chris is a little overzealous and pushy with his selling technique, but everyone in the office is very pleasant and knowledgeable. To add to my sense of security, my eye doctor, Dr. Warstadt was able to vouch for one of the doctors at Diamond (Dr. M. McKibbon), stating that he is aware of her skills, so much so, that he tried to hire her. The office itself is clean, they use state of the art technology, and they welcome you with snacks and drinks. I was so nervous about the procedure, but it was not painful and they did everything they could to keep me relaxed, During the procedure they offered me stress balls or a Falcons teddy bear. I opted for the bear. After the surgery, I was still feeling overwhelmed so they let me rest feet up as long as I needed and brought me an ice pack, water and offered me a blanket. I felt cared for and not rushed. I really appreciate that. Before, during and after, I have been able to ask any and all questions that come to mind, and they make it a point to answer each question thoroughly and clearly as possible. Also, the post-op schedule they give you is awesome, It works well for my type-A personality, with check boxes to notate when you take your medications. I would definitely recommend Diamond and Dr. Stetson to anyone who is interested in eye surgery. P.S. Chris knew that I am a fan of the Bert Show and purposely scheduled my surgery for around the same time as Bert's so I could meet him! I met Bert,and he is a sweetheart. She was out in the hall talking during the first test that the results came back inconclusive So the Dr is talking about laser surgery or eye drops We do the test again with the same technician who is extremely upset The test results comeback conclusive and they tell me they will see me in a year I dont know if my test results were conclusive or if they wanted me out the office. They had no problem taking my $100 co-pay but had a problem when I told them that one of their techs was distracted, multitasking and I could hear her out the door having a personal conversation after they give you an eye patch to put on your face that you dont know if a thousand people have used this same eye patch. Now I leave the Dr Not knowing am I going blind or am I 'not' going blind. Do I need to find another Doctor or even Do I need to find another Optometrist Practice and I have been coming to Thomas Eye Group for 40 years!!! The office later explained that there were only two doctors and three technicians working that day, but staffing issues should not become the patient's burden -- especially without proper communication or time management. What made the situation even more frustrating was seeing another patient with a 10:30 AM appointment get seen before I was ever called. At that point, it became very clear that appointments were not being handled fairly or efficiently. The delays became so excessive that I ultimately had to leave without being seen because the office had run so far behind schedule. Patients organize their entire day around medical appointments, and wasting over an hour of someone's time with little transparency or urgency is unacceptable. I understand that unexpected situations happen in healthcare, but this experience reflected poor scheduling, poor communication, and a lack of respect for patients' time. If the office knows it is severely understaffed or running significantly behind, patients should be informed upfront instead of being left sitting indefinitely in a waiting room. If you are someone who values your time, schedule, and basic professionalism, this may not be the location for you. Very disappointing experience overall.

I went to DHEC to purchase my first pair of progressive glasses. The staff that helped were…read morewonderful and helped me to pick out frames. However, the 7 day return policy is not flexible enough. When it comes to progressives, you need a few days to adjust to them. If there's a problem, one needs time to return to the store, find out that the prescription might be wrong, reschedule another ophthalmologist appt, and then return again with a new prescription. For people who work, it is not possible to miss so much work--or get another doctor's appointment so quickly--and return to fix the glasses. I spent a few hundred dollars for unwearable glasses because I work full-time and could not get back into the store with a new prescription within 7 days. I had to wait another year before I could address this due to insurance coverage. I recommend DHEC for standard glasses and the outstanding staff, but if you need progressives that might need some adjustments over time, you might want to consider a place with a more lenient policy.
