They also carry a very lovely selection of accessories for your garden (wind chimes, water features, spinners, seeds, etc.) The staff is super friendly, helpful and best of all, knowledgeable! Summit Sprouts's owner is passionate about your garden success. This is one of those places where supporting your local business is a win for you! This year, we have (so far!) purchased two fruit trees, flower baskets, landscape plants, organic manure and fertilizers, and all of our veggie starters, as well as a wind chime that my husband actually LOVES. Deer resistant, native plant the spreads roots nicely to stop erosion. Even the cashier recognized it, so we asked her opinion for what we needed and she echoed exactly what the guy in the field said. The staff there never ceases to amaze me. They have always made great recommendations for us and they have worked out nicely. Great selection and great staff. Even a nice looking front desk area. Love it.

I love my neighborhood Rathdrum Country Store! Or should I say Country Junction Farm and Feed,…read moresince they recently changed their name. Customer service here is always top-notch, and they have pretty much everything you would need for pet and livestock care. The chick ordering process does get a little messy every year, although I will acknowledge that a lot of the reasons for the disorganization are out of their control and mostly due to hatchery supply. I still prefer to pick up my chicks from them, as they do have a lot of variety with the breeds they offer and have no minimums. People just need to remember that chick sexing is done at the hatchery, and if you really want female layer hens, stick to a sex link breed.

I know they have…read morenothing to do with the sorting process between hens and roosters but I ended up with half of my flock as roosters!!!!! I'm extremely disappointed and heartbroken. I totally would understand if I got maybe one or two but I got 4 and of all different breeds. I will not ever be purchasing chicks again from here nor will I continue to recommend you guys.
