I tend to go see a new physician, even if they don't have tons of yrs of experience, because you can't judge anyone off of that alone. I went in for physical, and blood pressure was a tad high, but at a controllable level, no other health issues, and she immediately wanted to start me on blood pressure meds for the rest of my life! She took numerous amts of my blood, when she should have did all of this during the physical. This really set the tone!!!! She gave me a generic High blood pressure meds. In addition to when I took the medicine, and told her I was having really bad sad effects from it (Nausea, chest pain, headache, dry mouth, slight chills) and I stopped taking it for two days, felt bad, and went back and asked her for another brand type. She said, the Meds she prescribed me, which was Amlodipine Besylate, wasn't responsible for my side effects, and didn't even offer me an option for another brand type??? This is really not caring for your patients health!!! I immediately went to my old DR, who I have seen for over 8 yrs ( Didn't go back to him, since he wasn't listed on my new insurance, but turned out he was accepting PPO from Blue Cross Blue Shield. He said, your Doctor didn't give you another brand type, and told you to start back on a medicine again, that was giving you major side effect issues...weird and not good...He immediately gave me a brand blood pressure meds, similar to what he gave me 8 yrs ago, when I took it blood pressure dropped back down, and he didn't mention being on it forever, as long as I really get my diet and exercising in order. Avoid this Dr. at all cost!!!

She has seen me for multiple auto-immune issues, my husband (and discovered a heart issue that had not been seen in previous well visits), and my 18 yr old son. I highly recommend her and the staff.

Then a couple hours later called to reschedule because she's a nurse practitioner and doesn't do womens wellness. They rescheduled me for the next day with Kate _____ at the McKinney office. It was hard to find so I called, an a young lady who doesn't really speak well on the phone OR she doesn't speak English well. Either way she wasn't helpful. I called to ask what was the nearest landmark, and she asked was I using my GPS (like duh) then I asked what name is on their sign, and she asked me to hold. Like don't you walk into the building enough to know? Anyway, I walk in (no one greets me and idk which table to go to) and the front desk girly takes my id and insurance. She walks me back, gets my weight, and asks me medical questions. Strange because I've never had the receptionist double as the medical aide. She's super timid and in personable. I asked if the office was new and she said "she's doesn't know cause they're at this office a couple days a week"... so how don't you know! Anyway, it felt like somebody let their little sister or niece help. Front desk is a joke. No one greeted or directed me or offered to assist upon me walking into a place with 0 other ppl. Nurse Karen was my nurse and she was so sweet but I don't think she took the time to establish herself as my OBGYN. There was hardly nothing in the room. No one asked for a urine sample (as any doctor I've been to has always done for annual wellness visits). I decided to use the restroom and leave one & mentioned it, and the rude receptionist on today was like "that's good you left one just in case". Incompetent, unprofessional staff and practice. Why use the McKinney office if you don't have tools to operate. My visit was rushed. My concerns weren't really addressed because there's not enough medical tools within the McKinney office to properly assess you. It was a joke and they need to be offering better service cause there's no way this was a real exam. I didn't even want my blood drawn because it was going to be by the rude receptionist that I swear is incompetent to draw blood bc she is definitely not competent to ask for a urine sample. No I don't want to schedule my next annual because my first one was done like the wellness visit I do in the shower on my own (breast exam). Ok update after talking to Dr. Okuru I'm updating my review. Her and nurse Karen although nurse Karen has been amazing. My initial review is based off the lack of professionalism at the front desk, and scarcity of supplies. My nurse Karen has been amazing since. I appreciate dr okuru willingness to help answer whatever she could even though she didn't see me. She explained the reasoning why no urine test was ordered but I still believe that it should be rule of thumb to order that! I am editing my review simply due to Dr. Okoro & Nurse Karen

Dr. Mezera rebuilt my husband's thumb after he shattered it (right where the thumb connects to the…read morewrist) in a sports accident. It was a complicated, long surgery - and extremely stressful for both of us. She showed excellent bedside manner to both the patient and the patient's wife. And her work was outstanding. He's regained full function of his hand and thumb with just a minor scar. I would recommend Dr. Mezera to anyone needing a hand specialist.

Dr. Mezera treated me for osteoarthritis in my right hand for several years with shots to alleviate…read morethe pain. Finally, I had to give in and have surgery due to the constant pain. She finally had to recommend and perform the surgery... perfectly. Unfortunately this type of hand surgery has quite a bit of recovery time so it was slow going...nothing to do with the Doctor however, just the nature of this surgery. Another friend of mine had the same surgery (she is an Ortho RN) and she told me "it's a slow recovery process", same as Dr. Mezera commented to me. Of course they were both correct. HOWEVER, the pain went away! I have full use of my hand and I am both grateful and thankful to Dr. Mezera - she's a great Doctor whom I highly recommend. In fact, I have the same problem now in my other hand and I called her office to make an appointment for an assessment and to begin some type of treatment. Dr. Mezera also came highly recommended to me by 2 other Doctor's and 2 RN Ortho Nurses. She's also the nicest person... I can't say enough good things about her personally and her skills are top notch! If you need a hand doctor - this is the best place to go!

They want 100% of what they think is the patient cost up front or they refuse to do surgery. They wait until 14 hourse before surgery to demand money that you may not even owe after it is processed by insurance. That is a poor way to treat patients. I will gladly see someone else with better patient treatment.

( does that sound wrong to anyone else?since i walked into her office with xrays showing the broken bone.) she sent me back to work. after it was determined therapy was making it worse. I got a second opinion. at that point she determined. There was nothing further she. ( Dr Grosser decided she could do nothing more for me. Even though her cohort the second Dr also said it needed surgery. Dr Grossers nurse told me she doesnt appreciate being questioned. At that point it took me four months to find a Dr out of town to do my surgery. Because of the Drs being not willing to go against Dr Grossers opinion and reputation. So needless to say not only would I never go back to Dr Dawn Grosser but would tell anyone who is considering seeing her to do your research..before doing so.

Dr. Bashour and her staff are courteous, helpful, and genuinely concerned about their patients…read more When I have had trouble getting authorization from my insurance plan, her team has worked with me to make sure I have the medicines that I need, and have been persistent in finding solutions which are covered by my insurance plan (which is who I have problems with - because the insurance plan objects to most of the medicines I do better on - but that is definitely not Dr. Bashour's fault). They have always been timely on appointments and have really gone the extra mile for me. Her nurse even made sure I had enough samples to get me through awaiting a decision from my insurance company on my insulin. This meant that I could enjoy my wedding and honeymoon and so I did not have to worry about effects of a new medicine until after I got back. (Again - stupid insurance denied the preferred prescription from my doctor).
