One of them was apparently in training, and I'm not certain it was him, but perhaps it's not a great idea to make the comment about them not needing to be certified like other companies (not mentioned) do. LOL Personally I don't care as long as it's done right. A lot of "certifications" are to feed the money wheel anyhow and someone can be just as good or even better not having it. I've dealt with this company in Coeur d'Alene before also for rock chip repairs and was just as pleased!

I brought my van in after being quoted for paint work and rust removal. Without contacting me or…read moregetting my approval, they did not remove all of the rust and instead sprayed Rhino lining on the roof rather than painting it as I had been quoted. Within a few months the rhino lining was already developing small cracks. When I later posted a review about my experience, Fox Auto Body responded to my review by claiming online that I had approved the work. I unequivocally did not. When I contacted them and vehemently challenged that statement, they subsequently appeared to back off that claim, telling me that they would delete their response. I then asked about a refund because the work performed did not match what I had been quoted for. I was told they could not offer a refund because of my review and my email response to them. Well, yeah, when you lie about what happened, I am going to call you out for it. To give that as a reason for refusing a refund seems both odd and unethical, but I digress. Their justification for the changes was that this was a more "cost-efficient" approach. A euphemism for cutting corners. Moreover, that approach was taken without discussing it with me first or obtaining my approval. I challenge them to present any evidence that I approved these changes. They will not, and cannot, because I never did. From my perspective, the issues are straightforward: the quoted rust removal was not fully completed, the roof was Rhino-lined instead of being painted as quoted, and these changes were made without my authorization. Again, their initial public claim that I had approved the change was later withdrawn. This demonstrates, in my view, not only that I was dealing with a company willing to shamelessly cut corners to maximize profit, but also one that appears willing to say whatever is necessary to avoid accountability when challenged. What will their response be this time, I wonder? Based on my experience, I would highly recommend using another body shop.

Then they pull it into the shop and drop the pan. (Again?) received another call saying they dropped the pan and it's worse than first thought.... I was told they already dropped the pan. They should already know this!? The diagnosis was quoted @ $175. They said they dropped the pan during said "diagnosis" Then they tell me they won't do the agreed upon repair, that was quoted @ just under $800 and charged me $500.00 for a filter and some fluid. If they had really dropped the pan during the original diagnosis like they said, they would have already know. This and I should have been charged the original 175 plus maybe a little bit! Some diagnosis. Told me they did something as a diagnosis, charged me almost 3 times the diagnosis price. Total rip off!!
