Love this place. I used to eat here about 5 years ago before I moved out of state and now I'm back and happy to have made my round to this awesome panini spot. They have a larger food and beverage selection now. It's a great spot to check out. I LOVE the ay chihuahua and am hoping to remake it at home. It tastes as good as I remember it. This place is a hidden gem by FIU and I go every time I am in the area (which is like once per month) and love it so much! They have the best and freshest sandwiches and salads and they also have yummy tea and coffee drinks as well. I ordered the pesto and honey brisket panini and it was amazing! They have great seating that is comfortable as well as board games you can play while you are sitting there waiting for your food. The service is lovely and a heads up if you're in a rush that they can sometimes be a little slow as well since they prepare your food upon ordering. Great place to do some homework while you enjoy their amazing and huge variety of teas. Today I didn't got the chance to eat their paninis but they looked delicious and I saw them making them right in front of me; one word can describe how they looked: fresh. My daughter had a Nutella toasted croissant and she liked it. I had the coffee expresso Frappe boba tea and I loved it. It was cold, with the perfect amount of sugar and refreshingly tasty. My daughter asked what's boba tea and we looked it up and this is what Wikipedia said:"Boba tea is a Taiwanese tea-based drink invented in Tainan and Taichung in the 1980s. Most bubble tea recipes contain a tea base mixed/shaken with fruit or milk, to which chewy tapioca balls and fruit jelly are often added." This place is small and even tho it has also chairs and tables to seat outside due to its location near FIU, a lot of young people come here to study and finding place to seat it could be an issue. I was first introduced to this place during my first week of school at FIU by a friend. On my first visit, I simple purchased chips and guac, with not much expectations. Wow was i surprised by the freshness and flavor of the guac and the chips were perfect, strong enough to hold the thickness of the guac. On my next visit, I tried the ay chihuahua wrap and it soon became my go-to wrap at this place. I love their fresh vegan cookies too! After your first visit, they give you a 20% discount for the next visit so you can't beat that. It's a good place to chill and study but you might want to get there early to get a table or a spot. I had a very good experience here. The location itself is convenient (close to FIU) but not very glamorous (one of those Miami shopping plazas). But upon entering the vibe is completely different. Inside its small quarters have bar, booth, and table seating, along with a bookshelf full of literature and board games. The menu is easy to understand in its offering of a variety of beverages from brewed tea to smoothies while also boasting a sizable meal selection. Much like chipotle, you can chose the same base in a few different mediums (wrap, salad, panini). I ordered Olive You over a salad and it did not disappoint. Be warned, it lives up to its name and is chock full of olives! I ordered an iced latte later and was surprised to find that the dairy alternatives were at no extra cost. Cool, hip little coffee/tea shop right next to FIU. The employees were friendly and there's plenty of seating available. I ordered the olive panini which has fresh spinach, olive tapenade, & mozzarella. The portion is pretty big so I could only finish half and then I ordered a couple of the vegan cookies which were to DIE for!!!!!!!! This place had so many good reviews and so many reviews, I figured it was a must try. I got to the shopping center, let me just say, the lounge is a little harder to find as there is no big sign above it and Google maps does not give precise directions, unfortunately. If you are facing the Dunkin Donuts (from inside the shopping center), it will be a few stores down on the right side. Otherwise, the food was great and definitely 5 stars! So... I am a bit of fan of tea , I was driving by this place and I had not tried it and it looked interesting. When I walked in reminded me of a messy lounge slash diner . The style it has is laid back but I would say there is a bit much happening here they can't decide if they are hipster or rustic or maybe a bit of Indian going on with all the fabric that's hanging from the roof; don't get me wrong I was into it I could be confusing and eclectic at times. I was quite surprised by this little hole in the wall near FIU. It is a great option with some healthy choices for a quick meal. It is located off of coral way on the north side just before 107 in the same plaza as the oil change center. The lounge is not huge. There are about 8 tables inside and 3 outside. You can call and order ahead of time if you're in a rush. They offer several different selections of food in either a panini, salad, or wrap form. I have had the panini and the wraps and prefer the wraps a lot more. The paninis are full of more bread. The also have a wide variety of tea, smoothies, and coffee to fit anyone's fancy. The food tastes very fresh and it came out in about 10 minutes. I had the Black N Bleu and it was delicious. The hunny brisket and the chicken bacon is also amazing. This place easily reminds me of the coffee shop from friends. They have great vegan and vegetarianoptions and the staff is always super friendly. I come here almost every day to get some of their vegan cookies n cream cookies. Let's just start by saying that I think this place is great. They have a variety of tea types and flavors especially for the boba. This place is actually cheaper than bubble cafe and tea in doral and tastes just as great. The staff is always friendly and they have a rewards program that after 4/5 purchases you get 20% off your next one. They also sell food, bottled drinks like root beer and have the syrup that you pour into tea to flavor it. I bought the mango one and it was the greatest thing ever. This is a chill place to go to you can go to study or hang out with friends and play some of the board games that they have available on the booths or couches that they have available AND FREE WIFI. what else can you ask for. Decided to try a different place from the same one I go to in order to have bubble tea. I come across this place by 107 by fiu so it's in a great area. I went around 10pm at night it was very hard to figure out where it was due to the fact they don't have a sign on top of the business to identify where it is. She gave us great recommendations after us telling her what were we interested in trying out. I have been coming to this coffee place since I started my undergraduate career at FIU. They have great vegan options. Today I came in for a matcha latte. I took one sip and it literally tasted like straight sugar. I did not want to bother the baristas so I wasn't going to say anything, but it literally was inedible, so I went inside and asked if this had already been sweetened and the barista explained that yes, it had been. I told him I could not drink it, and all he said was "Sorry," rather than offer me perhaps a new beverage that was unseated, since I never asked for mine to be loaded with sugar. As other reviews mention the location is small and cozy, Booths are reserved for 2 or more and there's free WiFi. There's a wide selection of tea. You can have Boba Tea, hot tea, iced tea, tea lattes, matcha tea, etc. While I'm no tea connoisseur, this place can certainly get me there. I tried the blended Chai tea latte with soy milk and it was perfect. There's almond milk and soy milk to substitute the dairy. My only gripe with SpecialTEA is that I ordered a Vegetarian coco curry salad, but I got a chicken coco curry salad. This is ok because I am not a vegetarian, but I'm sure someone who is would have sent it back. I was hungry and it was delicious so obviously I enjoyed it.(That is why I docked one star). I will visit again and try another veggie option. My bf had a Buffalo chicken wrap and we both agreed its in our top 5 Buffalo chicken sandwiches in Miami.
