Permission from the neighbors and flaggers on the road were required. The second day was simply doing some pruning of trees in our yard to prevent them from overhanging the house and garage. Their work was excellent. They are skilled professionals who maintain high standards. They were on time, friendly, thorough, and cleaned up after themselves. They're not cheap, but they do very high quality work.

Although the area he finished appeared satisfactory, one side of the house and half the driveway were left untouched and strewn with debris. Upon raising this issue, he argued about the scope and tried to upsell to complete the 4th side of the house and the other half of the driveway. I paid the full $250 bid and feel cheated. I'll know who not to call next time the wind blows... UPDATED: Reply to Business Owner Who requests cleanup on only three sides of the house, or only half the driveway? Nobody. Not sure where your head was at but finishing the job in fifteen minutes and receiving a handsome holiday tip would have made a lot more sense than arguing about it with the guy who's about to pay you. Life got in the way and we failed to keep them trimmed, resulting in some 20-YO trees with a general lifespan of 20 years or so years and a very shallow root system towering well over our 2-story home and the neighbors". They said this was just a standard job to them, but I was in awe of the skill it took to somehow carefully and safely remove these huge bushy giants situated in such a precarious tight space. They arrive before dawn and stay until dark. We and our neighbors are now safe in a storm, and they even included the grinding of all of the stumps to the point that you can hardly tell these trees were ever here. I just wanted to write a quick review to say "Thank You, Titan Tree Care." They stand by their word and work and provide an excellent service at a very fair price.

Dorian gave us a quick estimate that was a little lower than we expected/feared and he squeezed us into the schedule to get it done the next day. They are friendly, easy to work with, very careful in their work, and do a great job of cleaning up after the job is done. For the price, we figured they were not grinding the stump based on our experience with other services, but they spent quite a bit of time grinding down the stump and a lot of the big roots that ran out from it. We highly recommend Titan.

They cut down the tree and hauled it away. Then they found the wires and pipes. Then they used a track hoe to dig up the tree roots. It was huge mess but they hauled it all away. They also dug up a really big flower bed. They moved valve boxes, augmented the soil, and planted bulbs. They smoothed the patio area and filled it with layers of gravel and sand. They measured the grade and made a plan for drainage. They brought blocks and caps and pavers from a local source. They built the steps, carefully fitting together the corner joints. Then they built the walls and glued down the caps. To place the pavers, they started with a circle and wove a pattern around it. They added a border in a contrasting shade. To make the pavers fit together, they had to cut each one with a heavy saw. Every piece had to be measured and marked and cut. They did it with teamwork and rapid precision. They sanded the floor with polymeric sand to seal it. Then they helped me move the furniture and hang the artwork. The project took less than a month. Every day they left the work site as neat as a pin. I paid them very well for doing this work and you should too.

I bought 12+ bags of their composts and manure mixes, used in raised veg beds, planted starts and seed, and nothing will grow in it. Composts are mostly wood dust and fragments, no nutrients in it which is what compost is supposed to provide. In comparison in a different raised bed, I spent about 20% more for a rich potting soil/raised bed mix from a local supplier, my veggies have shot up and are remarkably lush, 6 weeks later. I am sick about this, wasted a lot of money and have done backbreaking work digging out and replacing the crap compost I bought at Swanson which is their own brand. Shame on you, Swanson for fleecing your customers with your horrible products.

The day of the appointment he was a few hours late showing up due to truck trouble, but he and a couple family guys showed and made short work of the tree, piling all the wood into his long trailer. Jeff was very safety conscious and no damage came from the tall limbs coming down. It was nice to see a fellow work carefully and not show off. The crew cleaned up everything, except for some saw dust. Jeff cut the trunk close to the ground, but was not able to cut it clear to the ground. He took a photo of the remaining part and sent my phone number to a fellow he knows that does stump grinding at a reasonable price. Over all, we are very pleased with the result.
