And I was very impressed when Dr. Hu and staff worked with me on a time constraint on day one and I was able to return the next day to finish. I've recommended her office to several friends and will continue to do so. On a scale of 1-10, this office gets a 20!

I left a poor review for Specialists in Dermatology in July 2026 due to complications from Mohs…read moresurgery performed by Dr. Hu and her staff. What lead to the scathing review was the fact the Dr. Hu would not even acknowledge my problem, even after I made a special trip to the office to simply ask the staff to give Dr. Hu a message to call me because of my wound which would not heal after Mohs surgery in April 2026 performed by Dr HU. The PA and the wound care staff member were not properly trained to care for a severe wound like mine, which became infected. I ended up in the emergency room and subsequently had to be treated once a week at TMC Wound care for 3 months before the wound finally healed. This included debriding the wound, placing medications in the would and having a special medical compression wrap replaced once per week for almost 3 months. After I left the review, I received a call from an administrator from their office. She asked me to describe what transpired. After she heard my story, she said they would investigate the situation and promised to call me back. Well, here we are, almost 2 months later and no one has tried to reach me. I feel like Dr. Hu considers herself to be quite above her patients and does not show any empathy for a problem like mine. I will never go back to their office and will continue to tell this story to anyone who will listen.

I am overall not impressed with the appointment that I had…read more I drove 45 minutes to be seen for an appointment that lasted 3 minutes. I was seen for a concern over a cyst that I've had for a few months. The provider did not even actually examine the cyst, just looked at it and was like "Oh yea, that is benign" as he quickly cleaned his hands and tried to escape out the door. I was glad with the news but still have not received a call regarding the referral that I was apparently given. I've called the office and left a voicemail for a call back to see if the referral was sent and no response. Granted, the front office staff was lovely and the office was clean (which is why this rating at least got 3 stars), the least I could get is a call back. I had also asked the provider for a tretinoin prescription as I can no longer see my old derm due to insurance reasons and have not had a script yet sent to my pharmacy. My appointment was over a week ago. I work in healthcare and I am aware that staffing is short and this is a busy business, but why did I pay a $50 co-pay for nothing so far? I am hoping to hear back but I do not know if I'd return and it's unfortunate, because Ironwood came highly recommended from several people that I know!

However, the time I made an appointment is not usually the time I've seen. I spend more time in the waiting room and alone in the patient room than with the doctor. The doctor herself is nice if not a bit brusque. It seems lots of spots and stuff just happen as you get older (lol). Getting in takes months which is a shame but honestly makes sense at derm locations. The staff are really sweet, through they're definitely rushed at times. The receptionist is really kind and helpful. The assistants are pretty friendly but not always. They've gone though lots of them too I think. I've seen like 5 new ones in the time I've been there. Also the app NEVER works for me, even though I use my phone. I can never check in and I have to waste my time checking in when I get there. And in the past, I've had a hard time getting there on time due to the location. Plus, as someone who worked in healthcare, I know that you see a lot of patients and info gets lost. But there needs to be more communication! I tell the assistant on the phone my problem, I go in for my appointment and the assistant asks me what my problem is, and then the doctor comes in asks me what my problem is. There's just lots of repetition which really speaks to some lack of proper communication. Overall, good place with few problems but definitely worth it for your yearly appointment

I am writing this review on behalf of a family friend Jerry Smith…read more These are Jerry's words: I had developed a "suspect patch" of skin on my cheek that was not healing with over the counter options. I headed to a local medical facility where I was given meds to take for five days and sent home. After the five days my condition had not improved so I sought treatment at a local hospital where again I received an incorrect diagnosis and sent home. The next stop was an allergist and he was unable to provide a diagnosis. Finally I received approval to see a dermatologist and made an appointment with Dr. Rachel Schacht at Skin Concierge. I received the true care I needed. She listened and took a sincere interest in my condition. She biopsied the skin and I was diagnosed with MRSA, a very serious infection. Dr. Schacht gave me the correct treatment and I feel strongly that Dr Schacht saved my life. Tucson needs more physicians that have the genuine care and concern that Dr. Schacht gives her patients. She truly is a true asset to our community! Thank You Dr. Schacht ! Jerry Smith
