We scrambled for a last-minute change of plans, and it turned out to be absolutely perfect. They were incredibly accommodating: we hosted the birthday party right in the studio, decorated the space, brought our own food and non-alcoholic drinks, and set up a special designated area for the birthday girl and her friends. Laura and Bob were beyond patient and so helpful with the kids, guiding them every step of the way to make sure everything came out just right. The selection of pottery pieces is huge (overwhelming in the best way) and they even surprised us with a complimentary plate featuring all her friends' little fingerprints. What a thoughtful touch! It was such a fun, creative day, and everyone stayed nice and dry. Highly recommend for families, especially when plans go sideways.

It is magical, beautiful and a super special…read moreplace for littles (and their families, too). ***Please don't be alarmed by all the old reviews from 5 plus years ago. I've heard that LVPPP was indeed a very different school back then! Totally different leadership and teachers.*** First off, a little background on me- I have a degree in childhood development and early education, but first and foremost, I am a parent. And I want to be as involved and connected with my child's life as much as possible. I also fully understand that every child and every family's needs are different. So for us, LVPPP was an ideal fit and we are so happy with our decision to send our daughter there. This preschool fulfills all my wants and prayers for my child's first school experiences outside of our home. Some main highlights: 1. Teachers who are loving, nurturing and care about every single child's life and sees them as whole individuals and unique. My daughter absolutely LOVES her teacher and that's saying a lot for a child who is extremely attached to her mother and has separation anxiety. LVPPP teachers help prepare children and their parents for the transition being "away" from their families for a few hours at a time. They are so patient, so empathetic and really take the time to honor each child's feelings and individuality while modeling cooperation, co-regulation and communication. It is a very warm and home-like environment. 2. Community of caregivers, parents, families who all are working together for the school and the children. LVPPP is a co-op school and is part of the California Council of Parent Participation Nursery Schools, which is a network of organized co-ops focused on the principle that the best education will result from an active partnership among parents, teachers, and children. Being a volunteer in my child's classroom 2-3 times a month really has allowed me to get to know the people who actually see my child- I know the teachers very well and also know every single parent and child closely, much like extended family. We have playdates and help watch each others children outside of school as a result, and this has been invaluable benefit being part of this school- where lifelong relationships are fostered. 3. Child-directed, PLAY and inquiry based learning philosophy. PLAY is the work of the child. LVPPP is Reggio Emilia inspired and we love that. It follows my child's natural curiosity and focused on the process versus end product in learning and development. LVPPP's director is extremely knowledgeable and passionate in this area and empowers both students and families to be active agents in their environment. The environment is set up to invite play and exploration. Children engage in messy play, engage all their senses, challenge their fine and gross motor skills, and really tinker and experiment in open-ended play. There's also a big emphasis on social emotional development and regulation. The campus itself is beautiful and every detail has been well thought out to provoke exploration, discussion and creativity. 4. It's a non-profit that's trying to serve the community, providing high quality early childhood education to families in the area. It strives to be very accessible, diverse, inclusive and welcoming to all. All backgrounds are celebrated and family structures. I appreciate the fact that the tuition is quite reasonable and allows families from various levels of means still be able to access a preschool with the bells and whistles you may find at higher end preschools, but it's due to the joint effort of hard work that the families and teachers have contributed from their own time, effort and dedication to make the school what it is. 5. Health and safety is taken seriously especially during this COVID era. The director and leadership stay atop local health authority recommendations and goes above based on the input of the families and what they're comfortable with. We have been very happy with the pragmatic approach that LVPPP takes in trying to ensure the students stay healthy but also understanding that nothing is perfectly avoidable.

I am a first time mom and was at the painful point where it was time to get going with work. I was so scared of leaving my little one with someone else, all these what if's came into my mind. What my little one hates it, hates me, gets hurt, thinks a teacher is her mommy, you name it...etc. I decided on this location because not only was the location this school is in beautiful, but upon my initial meeting found the facilities clean, well organized, and most importantly kid friendly. Happy music was playing, beautiful kid made artwork was everywhere, and most importantly happy children everywhere I looked. The time came for me to take her for her first day, initially she was hesitant, but when it came time to pick her up on that first day she was running around happily (without a scrape on her) and with a big smile on her face. It is coming up on a year that she has been going there and let me say that not one single time have I went to pick her up and a smile hasn't been on her face. In fact sometimes I feel like I am interrupting her fun time. The infant room and the toddler room have the most amazing and caring teachers. They are caring, attentive to all the children and really are there for them. They deserve all the praise in the world for what they do on a daily basis and for the joy that and knowledge that they have given to my daughter and I. These teachers are so dedicated I don't know how they do it. Bottom line. I know it might be scary to leave your precious little one, but this Kindercare will absolutely make it and an easy, happy (and non scary) experience. Thank you so very very much to all the staff who are so dedicated. You have made such a difference in our little family's life.

Beware, Sketchy location!!…read more I had a very concerning experience with the assistant director, Lauren- due to what felt like discriminatory behavior, passive-aggressive communication, and an overall unwelcoming attitude during my visit and enrollment process at the KinderCare San Dimas location. During the tour, the assistant director mentioned that her own child was the only minority at the school and said that she preferred it that way. The comment came across as implying a preference for a more "white-washed" environment, which was extremely concerning and inappropriate in a childcare setting. I found this comment extremely concerning and inappropriate for someone working in a diverse childcare environment. It was a major red flag in a setting that should prioritize inclusion and respect for all families. Additionally, when I asked about the curriculum, she told me that the school does not have a set curriculum and that it "changes every day." As a parent, this response was concerning because it suggested there may not be a clear structure or consistent learning plan for the children. During the tour, she did NOT provide me with the application paperwork to move forward. I had to email her for almost two weeks just to receive the documents so I could apply for my child. Later, after getting in contact with the director, Roxanna Munoz, we scheduled a start date for my child. When I arrived on the first day at 7am, the assistant director had me standing OUTSIDE with her holding the door while discussing enrollment . After 5 minutes in the windy cold air, she said, "Oh, I suppose I'll let you in," with an irritated and dismissive tone. She expressed that I needed to fill out another part of the application- once I fill the documentation out... the director stopped responding to my emails for 2 weeks. It felt like I was left on my own, facing unnecessary obstacles that seemed designed to stop enrollment. It appeared that a portion of the application was withheld from me intentionally to delay or discourage enrollment. Because of this pattern of behavior and lack of communication, the situation raised serious concerns about professionalism and how families may be treated during enrollment. I strongly believe this location should be investigated to ensure all families are treated fairly and respectfully. I reported these concerns to higher management but was told that it was probably "perceived the wrong way". Additionally, stating "The director wasn't receiving your emails despite her responding to other emails two weeks prior". I'm sharing my experience so that other parents can be aware and make informed decisions when considering this location. Transparency and respectful treatment of families should always be a priority in a childcare environment--which, unfortunately, appears to be lacking at this location. Hani engages with people effortlessly and is attentive to what they say. He is perceptive and reads the whole message, not just the verbal part of it. The high integrity he exudes together with his warm and hospitable demeanor make people feel safe. Many counselors would not answer your questions directly. Instead, they would ask you 5 questions back and leave you guessing what they think. But I like that Hani is not shy to share his wisdom when I explicitly ask for it. His rich background in the corporate marketplace, then as an international speaker on marriage and relationship issues, his various volunteer services around the world, and finally as a seasoned therapist, makes him a well rounded counselor. One of the many gifts Hani game me was teaching me about boundaries. I had no idea I was allowing many people to cross my boundaries. Not only was I allowing others to cross my boundaries but I was also crossing other peoples boundaries. One day God made it very clear to me. He said I give trials to people, but you come in and save them from the trial not allow them to grow. God said you created all that is happening around you. You want are acting like God, and there is only ONE GOD. After hearing those words I stepped aside and stopped "helping" the one closest to me. Enabling bad behavior, bailing people out of trouble, helping financially and not requiring others to respect me as I deserved. I stepped aside, worked on me and I seen how God worked in the ones i loved via trials. Breaking them down, but restoring them once they grew better from the trial, I thought I helping people, but I was actually hurting others around me, bc I was not allowing certain people to grow up, to become the person they were meant to be. Time & time again. I thought bc I was Christian I had to continue to allow people to do, say & act anyway they wanted. That i was second.. my needs didn't count, everyone else desires were ahead of mine. It was a shell shock for many closest to me, once I stopped doing for others and started to love myself. People were upset once I started to set boundaries, but it was so freeing! I was successful in many aspects of my life family, friendships work, my business , but when you've have had previously been abused as a child, you don't alway realize where the boundary of where you start and they finish. I have never been happier and as felt as free. I had no idea the depth of the damage I created for myself by "loving" others. I was actually enabling bad behavior and making everyone else happy, but not making myself happy. I still love others. People see kindness as weakness, but i see kindness as strength. Hani will give your an eye opening. Hani is great in helping calm fears, gaining confidence and making you realize your worth. I know Hani was a gift from God for me. Thank you Hani! He's great personal therapy and as a marriage counselor! A must go !
