The prices were inline with other companies and sometimes better, but yes, the cost of opening and closing has gone up, but so has everything else. But their service is key. They come in, do the job and clean up 100%. Last year due to being unable to hire enough workers they dial back to working only in Suffolk County. This year they started back up in Nassau and we're very happy for that. Their office will work with you if you need to change a date for service and they don't push to sell you any extras (power vac or others) Rose the office manager is a angel to talk with and her brother Jim knows the details on any system out there. . ! Upon opening, when issues arise the technicians were quick to resolve any issues without need for secondary visits. The closing is equally as good. The weekly cleaning and chemical balancing usually leaves us with a crystal clear pool. Again, a testament to the technicians ability and care. Over the years, we had a few major issues with our in-ground pool as well. Dario was always quick to respond and help to oversee repairs and helped with recommendations for 3rd party contractors (concrete repair and marble dusting ). On Monday the 20th I called again and was informed that Jimmy was out of the office and would call Tues. Called again on Thurs the 23rd and asked for Jimmy. Was recognized and informed he was on the phone and would call me in 15 minutes. Called again in half hour and was informed that at this time they will not work on my pool? He handled the opening, does weekly maintenance, and has taken the time to walk me through the different components so I can take on some upgrades myself. Can't say enough good things about John. He's easy-going, reliable, and has been maintaining pools across the Island for over 15 years. Couldn't think it could get any worse, but it did. Gibbons finally got back to me with an update…read moreabout the cover--one they said was impossible to give. It was delayed and scheduled to be installed the 2nd week of Nov. They asked if I still wanted the cover (I did). But now leaves are falling into the pool with more on the way. I need to put a temp. cover on the pool until this one arrived, but there are already leaves in the pool with more on the way. I was fine paying for the closing service but Gibbons wanted to charge me for removing the leaves--leaves that are only their due to their delays and poor customer service. When I expressed this, Gibbons acted as if they were doing me a favor. I declined their "favor" and went with a local company to close/winterize. A couple of days ago they email me a refund for my deposit of the cover. No explanation in the email; instead they replied to my review on another site as if they tried to accommodate me and are granting my refund--a refund I never asked for. So, I'll end with that if you like paying for Gibbon's mistakes, being lied to, misled & having your (overpriced) orders canceled unilaterally after leaving a deposit, Gibbons is the place for you. Save time, money & aggravation and look elsewhere for your pool needs.

Mike & Robert were on point. Once a appointment was made, they arrived on time & the service was dead on. They power vac & scrubbed my pool till it was perfect. They even added chemicals as part of the service "wow". I must say I was very pleased with the outcome. The price never changed, I will definitely use there service again!
