Great spot!! I celebrated Pride this year during an alcohol-free diet. We were bar hopping on Central and I saw there was a local kava place! My friend and I walked over and Speakeasy Central Kava Bar had my name written all over it!!! They had so many great canned and bottled options- from Perrier and Vita Coco to Liquid Death and Coconut water and a variety of kombuchas. They also had a snack display with Clif bars, nuts, and other assorted vegan and allergy friendly treats. I ordered a kava 70-30 to-go (that the other bars were friendly enough to let me bring in) and a Living Vitalitea Paradise Passion kombucha for later- my friend got a Liquid Death water. Customer service was excellent, no wait, and I loved the decor.

I was a regular of Speakeasy last year and I visit whenever I'm in town. They have the best kratom of St. Pete, and as an insomniac, I have always appreciated that they operate 24/7. Frankly, even above the product, it was the atmosphere that kept me... I have made great friendships and had many impactful conversations in my time spent there. Lastly, for kavatenders I recommend Tom and Leif - they're great people!

Popped in here for a coffee. Felt a little industrial, and not like a spot I'd want to sit and sip on my coffee - although their appeared to be a few locals who met up to hang out there. I tried the mushroom coffee which was interesting, but did not taste as much like coffee as I was told. My boyfriend had a regular coffee and he said it was good.

    Chill vibes, great prices

They have mushroom coffee!!! It's delicious! Highly recommend trying it with almond milk. More mild than coffee. Slightly nutty flavor and hints of cacao.

    Check out their weekly specials!

The Kratom drinks here are amazing. They have a line of flavorings they offer (Acropolis ?) that have no high fructose corn syrup and they are very tasty. Check out their weekly specials (see photo below).

Love this place. Between friendly tea-tenders, Ian playing the record player, super drinks, awesome tea & coffee selection- or just wanting to take it easy, study, gain or share some positive inspiration, video games, community, etc. Need I say more?

This kava/kratom bar has a fantastic ambience and a great staff! I ordered 2 double shot kratoms and they taste awesome! Good prices too!

Wowza! Another great recommendation by my local bestie…read more Sugar Baby was the best coffee shop we visited during our short stay in St. Pete Beach. Parking is limited, but we lucked out and found a spot right up front. We were greeted upon entering. The space is bright with ample seating. The staff was friendly and patiently answered all of our questions while we deliberated over our food and drink options. We ordered the following: Sweet and salty Americano Breakkie bowl Beach burrito I'm a sucker for homemade syrups, so I was immediately impressed. My iced sweet and salty was smooth and perfectly balanced, not too sweet. Everything on the food menu sounded appetizing which made it tough to decide. I wanted to try do many items, but we loved our breakkie bowl and beach burrito. I liked the burrito slightly more. It was loaded with the good stuff. I will definitely be looking for a Sugar Baby next time I'm in the Tampa area!

I did have to ask for a bit more milk to be what I know as a Flat White. Then it was delicious! I'm DEFINITELY coming back here. I have a dance teacher who lives a little north of here, so I can stop in after class for a pick me up. (Yay! ) I'll also definitely bring friends here. We're all foodies from NYC, so they'll appreciate this place. All the tables were full at 1pm lunchtime. Now I know why! It's bright and airy, good A/C, lots of tables and the staff was so helpful in helping me choose what to get on this first visit. Spot on! Well done, Sugar Baby.

I was here on a Sunday morning and find parking no problem! The staff was super friendly without being too much, which I enjoyed because other locations I feel like it can be overpowering and turn me off from wanting to stop there again. This one has a repeat customer! The drink I got this trip was the Cocomo sugar free. The flavor was amazing and for something that was sugar free it was nice and sweet! The coffee was very smooth and the creamer was the perfect amount without getting too creamy and taking away the coffee flavor of it! Very reasonable prices as well as easy parking and amazing staff, I will be stopping here again when I am up in the area! The service was so friendly and the kind girl at the walkup window helped walk me through the menu since it was my first time. I got the golden eagle with sugar free and it was good. I'd definitely recommend their drive thru seems busy but we avoided the longer wait by coming to the walk up window. The only bummer thing is they didn't have outdoor seating

The food is amazing ! Best gluten free dairy free bread/sandwiches & sweets. From the minute we pulled up to the red carpet entry, you feel transported into a magical whimsical place. The decor is so relaxing , the welcome from the host/waitress felt so genuinely welcoming. The table setup is just adorable. So much attention to detail , even that each of the 5 people either me had different tea stir spoons. Each person gets to pick their own pot of luxury tea , from a huge choice of options . We all LOVED our pots of teas. They were all delicious. The salad is tasty (with fresh blueberries strawberries and walnut toppings. The gluten free and dairy free sandwiches & sweets were perfectly tasty and delicious. The chef is the owner's mom & she is just an incredible baker . The quality is the best gf /df food/pastries we've had in Florida. Even though the croissant is only vegan (not gf) the quality of the sandwich bread is just like fresh homemaid bread. The music in the background was perfectly soothing & joyous, which added a nice background during our 2 hour tea time celebration. The many selfie stations around were fun to get group shots in. All in all we 100 % reccomended & will come back, as well as we're planning on checking out the Dunedin location. Only thing we would reccomend is having sugar cubes for the tea(not the packets) , and have tea Warmer tea light options, for those who like to keep their tea warm.

If you're looking for a fun girls' afternoon with your adult girlfriends, this is a unique and fun…read morespot! If you're looking for somewhere to take your younger daughter for a cute tea-party experience, though, I'd probably look elsewhere. I recently went for afternoon tea to celebrate a friend's birthday. For a little over $50 per person, including tip, you get your own pot of tea, a sandwich and a half, a small salad, and quite a few scones and sweets. The food was okay, but for me, the experience was definitely more of the draw than the food itself. I'm not a huge fan of mayonnaise-based sandwiches (and I'm also not a big cucumber fan), and the majority of the savory options were variations of chicken salad, egg salad, and other mayo-based sandwiches. They also had nut butter/peanut butter sandwiches, different hummus sandwiches, and a cucumber and cream cheese sandwich. If you love those types of finger sandwiches, you'll probably really enjoy the food selection. For me, though, $50+ felt a little steep if I were going primarily for the food. I actually visited years ago with my daughter when she was around 4 or 5 and quickly realized it wasn't quite the mom-and-daughter tea-party experience I had envisioned. Coming back this time with friends, however, was a completely different experience, and we had a really fun afternoon together. They've also done a TON of renovations since my first visit, and the interior is really pretty and makes the whole experience feel special. Overall, I'd say this is much more about the experience and atmosphere than the food. If you're looking for a fun, girly afternoon with friends and enjoy tea, scones, sweets, and getting dressed up a little, it's worth checking out!
