It was our first time trying this place and we're excited due to all the great reviews. We came on a Wednesday morning and it wasn't terribly busy inside hut did notice a lot of people picking up call in orders. We got a regular mocha and a myan mocha. Both were ok as the coffee was very sweet and lukewarm at best. Breakfast definitely missed the mark. Ordered a French toast stack and breakfast burrito. Husbands breakfast burrito was ok but lacked seasoning. Could only taste the chorizo. French toast was bland and soggy to be topped off with a moldy strawberry. I went to take stem off strawberry to give my daughter but when I turned it over there was fuzz. It might be a while before we give this place another try. read more

I do have to say - I have mixed feelings about this place. The steak and eggs were good, and coffee was good. However: I bought cold brew, and she put a glass full of ice, and then filled it with coffee. I bought another cold brew and asked this time no ice, and she didn't fill the glass to the top, it's like 2/3 of a cup. Is there a water shortage in Arkansas? Who does that? Paid 7$ for 2 coffee, got one altogether. I asked my steak to be medium rare, but she told me it's precooked, they would only heat it. It raised my eyebrows, I asked I hope it cooked today, and the answer was no. Yesterday. The owners of this place think it's ok to sell a steak that was cooked 24 hours ago. And then she threw more words to me about how that steak was cooked, and I said I have no idea what does that mean, and she said she doesn't know either. Who does that? I don't know, perhaps there is no competition in the area, but I definitely think, guys need to raise their standards, stop cutting the corners and treat customers like garbage. Otherwise place is cool. PS. While I appreciate the owner's feedback on my feedback, the 16 vs. 12 oz is false. PPS. I'm not sure why the owner of this place is aggressively trying to convince me that I don't know sizes of the coffee cups. He even had the audacity to send me private message that I got what I paid for. I'm going to lower my rating to 1 star, because attitude stinks. read more

Great food, I had the French toast with house made sausage and eggs. Yummy!! For the coffee I got the Cuban. It's espresso with sweetened condensed milk and steamed milk. Very mild and smooth coffee, which I love! The staff was excellent and very friendly! If you are in the area, this is a must! read more

Great coffee with interesting off the beaten path flavors. We had the avocado toast, French toast and eggs, eggs with a bagel and the Bodega breakfast sandwich. The flavor for the avocado toast was very good though lacking in salt and the toast was pretty hard to even cut. Once I put the salt on it really brought out the flavors and I enjoyed it. The kids loved their bagel and egg and eggs with French toast. My hubby's Bodega was delicious. Definitely a win if back in the area. read more

The owner condones this behavior. If I wanted to be treated rudely, I sure wouldn't pay for it. We've been here every other weekend for a quick bite or to dine on the patio for about 6 months. Around $50 a visit... Excited to take my business elsewhere seeing the Facebook complaints about the staff as well as yelp reviews. It's not good when an establishment is known for rude employees. There's just no sense in it. As for "this isn't a playground and your kids didn't need to be running around." How about handle it like any other normal person "hey so sorry, can you make sure your kids don't play in here? We want to be sure no one gets hurt." Instead of YELLING at my 3 year old, and another 3 year old boy. How cruel do you have to be to yell and be harsh to a toddler? Then to condone it? The reply to this has not only let me know I won't be dining here, but I'll tell everyone I know about this interaction. Pathetic. read more

I go out of town frequently to visit my cousin who lives in Benton, I'm a Kansas City MO native so anytime I leave home I am always on the search for amazing places to eat local food. This place probably tops as my new favorite place for breakfast food. My husband had the sliders and I grabbed myself a bagel with cream cheese. I'd say the sliders both looked and tasted absolutely fabulous. I love that this place prides itself in cleanliness and fresh ingredients. The price seems absolutely fair for this service and freshness. I will always come here when I come to visit my cousin. He'll think it's to come see him but it's now partially because I want to basically live inside this restaurant. read more

If you like food done right, then this is the place. This is not your run of the mill café food, but unique dishes individually crafted with flavor in mind. The term "umami" comes to mind with each bite. Each item on the menu fits this description. In my opinion Speakeasy is great food first and great coffee second. Speakeasy does coffee right with your standard coffee drinks (americano, pour over, mocha) as well as speciality drinks (cafe con miel, mayan mocha). The price point is above average, but the above average food is worth the price. The atmosphere is comfortable, but energetic. The music that softly plays in the background is not coffeehouse piano, but generally soft rock. The seating is comfortable and well accommodates larger parties (4-6). The café is always clean and well organized. This place is not cookie-cutter, but unique in every aspect from the food, to the coffee, atmosphere, and the staff. Great cafe with some really good coffee and a great breakfast/lunch menu. You can't go wrong with any of the breakfast items. My wife gets the 3-2-1 every time and never complains. I always have a hard time choosing between one of they're breakfast sandwiches or they're Cuban sandwich. They're all really good. The Cuban is easily the best Cuban I've had so far in my 2 years of living in Arkansas. I highly recommend them. read more

I was meeting family and friends here for Saturday brunch. We ended up not staying due to the wait for food. The dining room is truly like a cafe (order then find a table) which can make finding a table a little difficult, especially during busy times. Two members of my party had arrived and we found a place to sit and wait for everyone else to arrive. While we were checking out the menu and thinking a about what we might want while we waited, we over heard the counter person tell another customer that the wait for food was at least 35 minutes that's when we decided to go somewhere else. Everything I've heard about this place is good. Just need to find a less busy time to go to check it out for myself. read more

Our Saturday morning here was a disaster. We showed up at 9:40 am and there were probably 25 people there. After we had already paid, we were told it would be a 30 minute wait. An hour later we still had no food, but we weren't special, many other people there were in the same boat. I checked on our food at the 1-hour mark and informed them we had to leave very soon. I said if it wasn't already made, just cancel it and I'd take the refund. They told me it was coming right up and they'd give it to us to go, so I waited. Another 10 minutes after this conversation, still nothing. After once again explaining we HAD TO GO, they gave me full refund (thanks I guess, but not the point) and hastily slopped our food into to-go boxes. My wife's, which supposed to be a 3-2-1, was missing items and was literally just two pieces of toast and a scrambled egg with bacon (which was supposed to be on the side) dumped on top. Mine, which was supposed to be in a skillet, looked like an inedible, jumbled mess. On top of all that, the service was awful. We were asked to wait outside in the rain, they forgot to clean off our table from the last couple who was there, then when I finally raised my concerns about our food, their attitude was clearly that I was the one in the wrong for being pushy. As I said before, we were not the only people who had issues -- I talked to at least two other groups who had been waiting for an hour and watched one other group cancel and have to get a refund because they waited so long. They routinely told people who were ordering that the wait was 30 minutes when all of us knew it was much, much longer than that. We will never be back and I would STRONGLY advise anyone who wants breakfast in Bryant or Benton to avoid this place. If you can't handle 25 customers on a Saturday morning as a breakfast cafe, that's a problem. Blue House Bakery is a mile away on the same street. Go there. read more

First time coming here, will not be going back. Walking up to the cashier, we were not even greeted or spoken to and the cashier looked pissed off, frustrated and bothered we even showed up as in "oh great another customer" kind of look. After waiting 30 minutes for two coffees, I was met with an apology of "did you only have 2 coffees? Shit, I'm so sorry". We ordered an americano and a vanilla latte. The americano tasted too acidic and the vanilla latte had no vanilla and tasted bland. read more
