The food was disappointing. The brussel sprouts were overly sweet and and the lasagna was very greasy. The gluten free pizza crust was soggy and oily with little taste. My husband did enjoy the bread and the caprese salad was tasty but nothing extraordinary. The ambience was romantic which was nice for date night. Service was slow despite the restaurant being nearly empty.

Second time here. Drinks are always good. We had the calamari app. I loved the red bell peppers on it, but the calamari itself were a little tough, not sure if they set under a heat lamp. The bread is always warm and good. I had the ribeye with mash potatoes and asparagus. Very good. My fiance had the chicken mushroom risotto, it was good, not great. Overall, I like the restaurant. The staff is very pleasant.

Aaron was a wonderful server. I really liked my cheese ravioli but I had a bite of my husband's lasagna and I wish i ordered it instead. The space has a large free parking lot that is easily accessible. It took a while to get our entrees but the appetizers and salads came out fast. I would recommend if you're looking for great food and great service!

My dad and I ordered take out last night. We've come here many times before, but it's either a hit or a miss for me. Luckily this time it was a hit! I thought I had for sure had this dish before from here and being soso with it, but this was very flavorful and the chicken was a good portion and not dry! I'll for sure get that again. It was a quick and easy pick up as well. No issues.

This long-standing Minnetonka restaurant features a large parking lot, ensuring plenty of parking. Inside, the place is spacious and adorned with charming mosaic decor. There's also a delightful outdoor seating area that becomes very popular in good weather. It is good for either a family dinner or a gathering party! The menu focuses on traditional Italian cuisine. Complimentary bread is provided before the meal. We ordered the spaghetti, which was amazing, with a robust tomato sauce featuring flavorful chunks. The shrimp scampi was tasty, though a bit soupy. The kids' meals are standard but come with a favorite: ice cream! The walleye was very fresh, though the accompanying vegetables could be improved with different options. The service is excellent and efficient. Overall, this is a charming local Italian restaurant.

Service is incredible, everyone is so kind and welcoming. The resteraunt decor is very elegant but overall nothing special, but I don't know a single person who goes to a resteraunt to look at decor. What matters to me is that it's clean and well kept! The food is, of course, incredible. The spaghetti and meatball is always my go-to, but just about everything on the menu is great. The desserts are even better too! Crème brulée is fantastic here.

We did a Valentine dinner here as it was a place we hadn't been before. We started with a shrimp cocktail which were 5 decent sized shrimp served with cocktail sauce. Good starter. I chose an entree from the the special list which was sea bass with pesto and risotto and it was very good. Nice large piece of fish. Fish was tender and flaky. Husband had the Red Snapper. We both liked our meals very much. The atmosphere wasn't quite what I was hoping for Valentines Day. There were lots of families there and it didn't have the romantic ambiance I was hoping. Staff was nice. Service good. Parking was a bit of a nightmare but we drove around a bit and found an opening.

I would give her drinks at 3/5, they're one margaritas way too sweet for me. However, were their other special cocktail was more well-balanced. They also have a great variety of beers and wines. Their food was really excellent. I will give it a 4/5. Definitely get their Reuben! This is one of the best ribs I've had in a long time. They also have a great variety of seafood, which is hard to find in the Twin Cities. I had yummy mahi-mahi tacos with a grilled taco shell (which is rare, I always get a soggy taco shell whenever I get fish tacos). Atmosphere is 5/5. They have lots of seating indoors and outdoors. Their outdoor outdoor patio is gorgeous and has an outdoor bar. They do tend to get busy on the weekend so I would arrive early or make a reservation in advance. Service was good, slightly slow to get our drinks, but our waiter did check on this multiple times to give us updates. Definitely will come back again!

It was fairly crowed for a week day dinner and I suspect that it usually the case. On this visit I had the full-size Thai Peanut Salad ($19) which was very tasty, with a mix of chicken, salad greens, red cabbage, carrots, red bell pepper, edamame, green onion, cilantro, and peanuts, It has a Thai peanut dressing, and is topped with crispy cellophane noodles. It was quite yummy and had a surprising (but not obnoxious) kick to it. My wife ordered a half version of the Honey Pecan Chicken Salad ($13), which salad greens, apples, craisins, sweet potato, egg, green goddess dressing, with a honey mustard drizzle. She enjoyed it equally as much. The waitress was pleasant and filled my pop without me asking (always a good sign). There is a back room for parties and large groups, as well as a side area that is more bar-oriented. This restaurant used to be the second location of the Greek Restaurant, Christos. Back in the Christos days, it was more cozy and quiet, which I miss, but then again, this is a sports bar, so I guess it's not fair to compare. Duke's had earned a place on our restaurant rotation and it's a good place to go for dependable, solid food in a restaurant that is casual and fun.

It's the kind of space where you want to get dressed up just to sit in it. Truly one of the most beautifully designed dining rooms in the Twin Cities. The staff was also really helpful when it came to navigating gluten and dairy preferences, which I always appreciate. Good cocktail options and great presentation in nice glassware. The Parker House rolls were the clear table favorite, served with three different spreads that were all worth trying. The Brussels sprouts were divine and the beef tenderloin was good, though the portion felt a little small for the price. The short rib special was amazing, but they weren't able to substitute the potatoes for a gluten free option, which meant the dish came out incomplete at full cost. Our waitress was apologetic and lovely about it, but it's not a great touch for a restaurant that otherwise does a nice job acknowledging dietary needs. The Eloise sundae is an absolute must. Done tableside and completely phenomenal.

Mirabelle was chosen for friends night out due to the social media post and it looking great on socials. I'd first like to say the staff here were amazing. We were helped by quite a few of them during our dining experience. We were even given a guided tour of the rentable event space, as well as the 2 other restaurant concepts they run, which are connected to Mirabelle. Shiki - Japanese inspired noodle bar, and Parlour Bar - Speakeasy vibes. Mirabelle has more of a supper club atmosphere. Back to the dining experience, we all ordered the drink special - I don't recall the name but we all enjoyed it. Kind of like a cosmo. We were able to catch a few things from the happy hour. As I said earlier I was looking forward to ordering the wings, which I did, but was later informed they ran out - we did go at dinner opening on a Monday - maybe they had a super busy week. I was left to only trying cheese curds and fries which were okay, nothing special. Others tried the caesar salad, a shrimp pasta dish, popcorn, and a few other dishes. Overall they weren't very impressed either. Probably would have enjoyed the other concepts a bit more personally. Also had popovers - they were very egg forward - smell and taste - also something no one really enjoyed at our table. The drinks and vibes were amazing though!

I've eaten here once before for a special event year prior and the food options were better in my opinion. The small plates got even smaller and more expensive. Not sure if the quality was better on things either. I was with 3 others and we all shared plates. chicken karaage was alright. I liked the crispiness was the sauce was nothing extravagant. Truffle Edamame - best thing I had! The only thing craveworthy that I had. Shrimp taco - smelled fishy but tasted better. I was able to split it into 2 since the shells are so small and the filling worked well in the 2 provided. Crispy rice with spicy tuna - this was fun to do but not as good as we were hoping. It was missing something. Shishito peppers- these were large and many had the seeds. Spicier due to this. Wagyu sushi tacos $24 for the tiny things and it looked like ground wagyu... felt like a cash grab. I didn't eat them but my crew ate 2 and didn't want to eat the last one. Chicken fried rice - good size and really gingery. Not my favorite but it was edible. Better value than other items. The sushi felt like Crave and they were teeny tiny. I didn't enjoy the fishiness so I was one and done. (I normally love seafood) Dessert- we split 2.. the churros and the tres leches. The churros needed some sweetness in the mixture as they were bland. I was hoping for a really good churro and these were just ok. The tres leches wasn't traditional and they should change the name to avoid confusion. They have a better happy hour if you sit at the bar. Our server was able to order us some fries. Despite not being in the bar area. Overall, I wouldn't drive out of my way to eat here. The drinks and happy hour, maybe. The cocktail menu was very nice and I tried a few of my friends drinks.

It was not great. The problem? I think it was because owner/chef Rene Ruiz Olivar was acting as waiter, not chef. We gave Sr. Ruiz the freedom to choose our tapas, with one exception, the black ink pasta with scallops and shrimp (Tinta Negra) that reviewers have raved about. He said, no problema--he would serve it. Then he must have forgotten because we never got it. The first tapa served, almond-crusted manchego (Almendrado), was plated prettily and was delicious but oh-so-sweet. It was an odd choice for a starter, would have been better as the finale in case nobody ordered dessert. Soon came a lamb tapa (Cordero). The lamb chops' quality was uncertain as the meat was severely overcooked. El Bodegon's langoustines (Gambas al Ajillo) had given every bit of their sea flavor to the sauce, which was magnificent, we all agreed. But where were the dish's promised mussels, the rice? One shared plate, a beef tenderloin tapa (Carne Brava), had apparently lingered too long in the kitchen--the meat was nearly cold. I adore papas bravas (Patatas Bravas). I must have had the dish a dozen times or more during my last trip to Spain, in 2017, when I visited friends who live in Ronda. During my six-week stay, we toured Andalucia, staying at hotels in large cities and visiting small towns. I also spent time sola in Madrid and Barcelona. Unlike in Spain, El Bodegon's potatoes were diced to death. Never in Spain have I ever had patatas bravas that were not substantial in size. All in all, I found the vegetables accompanying the tapas unrecognizable except for the tiny Brussels sprouts. The rest seemed chopped up or stirred to pieces in the pan. Some of my friends had churros for their dessert. They deemed them appropriately hot and tasty. My dessert was cheesecake torte, decked out with a candle as it was my 90th birthday. The torte was a gold-star winner. It was absolutely delicious, its plating the most successful of the evening. It was so perfect it almost made up for the sub-par tapas that preceded it. One of us had a view of the kitchen from his seat at the table. He saw a man other than the chef/owner doing the cooking. Was he a trainee? Did Sr. Ruiz help with the plating? God knows he didn't have a lot patrons to contend with in his role as waiter. It was a slow weeknight, and there were never more than four tables occupied. I sincerely regret that our time at El Bodegon differs from so many reviewers. Like them, I want to see Sr. Ruiz's little restaurant succeed. He has a hard row to hoe, and I hope a disappointing dinner like ours does not befall anyone else going forward.
