I recently purchased a mattress from Ashley Furniture in the University area in Charlotte, NC, and the sales clerk recommended this company. I reached out to Jeremiah and asked if he could deliver my mattress the next day. He responded immediately. The next day, his team arrived and was very professional and on time. They were in and out and did not take long at all to set up my mattress. Not only that a few days later Ashley Furniture was suppose to come and pick up the old mattresses but somehow said that they could not come back. I called Jeremiah again. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! I hired Spartan Movers on 10/28/25, and one of the employees they sent stole two boxes of shoes worth over $3,000. I later discovered that this individual has a criminal background and sold my stolen items on Facebook Marketplace. A police report has been filed, and I plan to take legal action against both the employee and the company. Despite being informed of the situation, the owner has taken no accountability and is refusing to reimburse me even for the moving fees. This experience has been extremely disappointing and stressful. Hopefully, this review saves someone else from going through the same situation. I book spartan based off the reviews but my experience with them was not good ! Only one of the guys was polite the other guy was rude was rough with our furniture and he used our bathroom poop! And didn't flush and left his partner to do most of the work they didn't wrap up our furniture and they also broke our bar and still charge us full price and not to mention they were late Never again! Spartan movers of Carolina are the worst movers I've come across. They came late, had a bad attitude, slow poked around so bad. It took 6 hours to load and unload my belongings without bringing all my stuff to my new home. And was told that the things they left was my responsibility to move. The broke several items and wanted to make excuses of why things got broken. We all left my old address at the same time when the movers finally got to the new address 15 minutes after I arrived, the movers was so high and you could smell the Marijuana on them. One of movers was talking about the owner and his coworker the whole time and was trying to advertise his own moving company. Was referred to them by a friend. Called and left a voicemail for moving services. Responded right back with same day availability. Scheduled services for next day between 12-2pm. Communicated number of rooms and floors needed services for moving. Day of move, reached out to movers at 12:04 to see if they were still coming and what the eta would be. iPhone messages and their response just emphasized their message from yesterday of them arriving between 12-2pm. No actual response. Drafting this review at 2:15pm and still no show nor communication on when they are coming. Have been sitting at my house for two hours waiting for them when I could have called another service or moved some items myself. Called to check eta and mentioned it would be 40mins until they would arrive. Movers finally arrived two hours late at 4pm with no legit explanation on the lateness. Took two hours to load the truck. In the midst of them loading, one of the two movers left and another came to finish. Arrived at my new house and took an hour to unload, setup couch and bed. Upon unloading, found my tv stand broke and cannot be repaired. No apologies for that nor told me that it was messed up prior to loading the truck. Company wouldn't reimburse me for the tv stand and for being two hours late, but still wanted their full works payment. Sucks that I was referred to them from someone who said their services were really good. RUN FROM THESE GUYS!!! Whewwww where do I start? This is by far THE WORST company I have ever interacted with. I've used them three times. The first experience was AMAZING. the guys were efficient and moved quickly. They were late but they made up for it as they were so pleasant to work with. They set my furniture up perfectly. The second time was disappointing to say the least. The truck sent was too small(move size had never been discussed) so I asked the driver about a second trip and he stated he didn't want to make one. So I had to hire ANOTHER company to move the rest of my things into storage. The guys were high as a kite and the smell of weed almost gave me contact high just being around them. The only reason why they got a third try from me is because Jeremiah offered to mount my tvs and curtains the next move. Well, I gave them a shot and I'll admit, I gave the wrong date(I was a day off) the driver contacted me and I admitted my error and he said I needed to send him $20 for gas which I agreed to. Before I could even send it to him, he sent me an Apple Pay request for the money. I reached out to Jeremiah about it and he said that was on me because I gave the wrong date and needed an update on the correct date. I just didn't like how pushy he was about it. I gave him the date which was 4.16.2025 at 4 pm. I was assured I had the quickest movers with hopes of mounting the TVs. WELL! The "quick" movers took almost 3 hours to empty a storage unit that was outside(the truck literally was backed up to the door) I had to leave to go to the new spot which took me 28 minutes to get to with traffic. I left my friend there to keep an eye on them while I was gone because they appeared to be moving super slow already. She left when they were done moving and she circled back about 10 mins later to see them still sitting there. Why?! They finally arrived 90 minutes later and backed the truck up to my house and left most items downstairs because I was getting frustrated that this move was taking so long. They took so long to assemble 3 beds I didn't even bother to let them mount the tvs. My bed and my son's dresser was broken by the guys that moved the stuff into storage and of course they said NOTHING about it and I contacted Jeremiah multiple times about the grievances and he refused to respond. The only reason why I got a response was because I was refusing to pay until I got a response. Jeremiah gave me an hour off in exchange for the TVs and assured that he would come and fix my son's dresser the following day. So I took another hour off and said he would get it if he came and fixed it(of course he didn't call the following day to fix my son's dresser-he called two days later when I had already ordered another one ) This 3-4 hour move somehow ended up getting dragged out to 7 hours and there was no way I was paying that. They saw a female and her kids and tried to run it up on my dime. Idc if I have to put the stuff on my back and move it myself, I'll NEVER use Spartan Movers of the Carolinas again. read more

I had a 1/2 truck of household items that took 6hrs w/the help of my father, my friend, & me. Thankfully my father & my friend provided tools, guidance, & 2 dollys, because they didn't even have that. My household items were damaged w/this move. The owner Jeremiah promised to repair damaged household items & has not fulfilled that promise to this day. Jeremiah is not a man of his word/a trusted reliable business. I recently used this company and they are horrible when it comes to customer service. They cracked my glass table and when moving my tv they dropped it and sat it in the corner but didn't mention it. My tv had to be replaced and when I called them to tell them they said that they woukd return my call and never did. It's been almost three weeks and I still haven't heard anything from them. We had a great experience with Shawn and Lorenzo. They moved my daughter and her roommate from one apartment to another. Price was reasonable, they did not complain ONE time, and were very careful how they wrapped and cared for her boxes/furniture. Moving out of a third floor apartment (NO elevator) to a second floor apartment. I felt bad for them! Thank you for a job well done! NOTE- they do NOT take credit cards or Venmo! This was the ABSOLUTE WORST moving experience I've EVER had in ALL MY LIFE! I booked with Jeremiah over the phone, I explained where I was moving and that everything that I needed done (moving 2 TV's and Art) he "claims" I never told him but I was able to quote exactly what he told me. The 2 guys who moved me (Jeremiah and Will were GREAT). When I called Jeremiah he actually tried to blame me because he didn't send a large enough truck for a 3 bedroom house move with a refrigerator and a washer and dryer! So a move that should have taken 5-6 hours took over 9 hours!! He was also so disrespectful to his employees on the phone that one of them had to check him because he was downright RUDE! He's a HORRIBLE businessman because in ALL my moves they ALWAYS send someone out to see what you have so they know exactly what they're moving. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone EVER! read more

We called last minute with a wish and a prayer that they would be able to assist with a urgent move and they accommodated! Two very nice, polite, strong young men communicated well, arrived on time, worked hard and got everything done perfectly. They were careful with all of our items, some of which were extremely heavy.
