Sparrow definately has a great atmosphere and view. Service is a pinch slow during peak times, and music can get a bit loud compared to the earlier lounge vibe. I will say I have been here 2-3 times, and service always seems rushed, like they are trying to get you out asap, so this is a bit discouraging. My latest visit I didn't eat here, but my first visit I did and the food was good, tapas style variety. read more

Sparrow in Ft. Lauderdale has a great vibe and genuinely friendly staff--it's an easy place to enjoy a night out. Great music.. DJ crushed it. That said, it's surprising that the cocktails are simply arent good... There is not a clear standard. With a stronger bar program, this place would be a go-to. Out photo is a martini and a whiskey sour... Lol nah. read more

Sparrow @sparrowrooftop Ft. Lauderdale, FL @the_dalmar Sparrow's grand reopening was definitely a vibe! The views, the drinks, the bites, everything was on point. The music was pumping and the lighting set the mood. Great service with drinks and bites being passed throughout the night. I can't wait to visit again! What a cool place! On the 25th floor of the Dalmar Hotel. Amazing views, a loungy vibe, DJ, and awesome decor/lighting. I only had a couple small dishes but this is a Tapas kinda place. The service is great and very friendly. The Edamame was above par with real chunky kosher salt. I got a Hamachi Roll which was ok. Great idea but clearly made in advance which adds a "dry" fish thing. Just make it from scratch each time and it would be amazing! Drinks good too so they are a go to for sure. read more

Sparrow is both a restaurant and bar located on a high rise building in Fort Lauderdale. It is an exclusive locked elevator floor. Starting at 5 - on the main floor they have a dedicated elevator host that will guide you to enter the elevator to arrive upstairs. It has plenty of dining seating that also includes the patio. They have an indoor and outdoor bars to your liking. They have floor to ceiling windows making the view admirable. Decided to come for Happy Hour on a Friday. We got there a little early and played Jenga on the guest floor. When it was time we made our way to Sparrow as the first guests of the night. John Luis, the bartender, was super cool. He made our drinks and gave us some delicious spicy olives. Drooling about the spicy olives even now. Would like to try their sit down food in the future. read more

I'm not one for rooftops, but Sparrow was such an enjoyable experience! I went with a couple of girlfriends, and the views were amazing, the music was nice (but the volume on the patio wasn't overwhelmingly loud, which is a problem I have with a lot of other rooftops). The drinks were nice and everything had a classy presentation. My favorite thing was the steak (see pics). This is a cool spot for a girls night or to give people a good tour of fort Lauderdale read more

Had an amazing experience at Sparrow! We got a table on the rooftop at sunset fora bachelorette party and it was the perfect scenery!! Everything was so so beautiful and made for great pictures! Our waiter was absolute perfection and gave us recommendations on literally everything! We took him up on almost all of them and he was so right! We got a bunch of cocktails that were all so great and very different! Our waiter even brought us two rounds of free shots! The food was amazing! I was so surprised how well they did with so many different flavor palates! We got the oysters and pork dumplings for apps which were phenom!! Tried bites of sushi, pork bao buns, Brussels, and the best Mac and cheese ever! Only note is for them to get in on the ranch game to make their fries better! Last stop was dessert where we ordered two off the menu and our waiter brought us the third on the house! His choice was hands down the best one so he was really looking out for us! Such a great experience and a great place for an intimate date or a girls night! read more

It had been a hot minute since I've been to Sparrow, but I recently stopped by for happy hour, and that's definitely the time to go. Watching the sky shift into all those gorgeous sunset colors from up high is the move. The happy hour menu is limited, but the bartender mentioned that the wine list wasn't set in stone--I could get a glass of Sauvignon Blanc for the $9 happy hour price. Not sure if that's always the case or if he was just being nice, but either way, I appreciated it. It was a quick stop on our night's "tour," but if you're looking for a solid spot to sip a drink during golden hour, Sparrow is worth a visit. It's all about the views. read more

Came here for the re grand opening party and on a regular day recently. Sparrow is an upscale, gorgeous rooftop bar/lounge, with an inside and outside area located in the Dalmar hotel. They have amazing and unique cocktails, mocktails and bites. On the nights I've gone, we've had two female DJ's that were amazing and playing House and EDM sets that kept me moving. Both nights were Saturdays and ended up getting packed so the earlier the better to get a table or an area. Overall, a fun bar in Fort Lauderdale with beautiful rooftop views. read more

Overall a great experience! This was a special event so we were the only party here on a night that is usually closed. So I need to keep that in mind because this wasn't a regular night. But nonetheless the food was delicious! My favorite was the bang bang shrimp and my main filet meal. The Japanese chimichurri was fantastic!! I love a good sauce to dip my meat in lol. The drinks were really good. I got a marg and then I got a passion fruit drink after. Service was spot on. Again - the only party so need to keep that in mind. But everyone was super friendly and nice! Very attentive ! read more

Located on the rooftop of the dalmar hotel . It's a restricted floor and security has to let you on the elevator from the ground floor. (This was my only annoyance as a hotel guest ) aside from that, once you step off the elevators you are greeted with music and beautiful decor surrounding you. I was a little confused at first which way to go but to the right is a lounge area with a gorgeous bar . I also think a Dj? If you go to the left once exiting the elevators , you go outside to the most whimsical rooftop bar I have seen! I loved it! I would have done a wedding reception dinner there if I wasn't married already ! I sat down at the bar, but there were plenty tables with lots of room to move around. And some couches too. FIRST , kudos to the bartender John. He was amazing ! Ask for him if you go up there ! Next, they had a really good food menu! Lots of options...and sushi! Really good sushi ! We had the dalmar role and Brussels sprouts. Both were amazing. Highly recommend this bar! Met a bunch of cool people too . Next time I stay at the hotel, I'll def be back to visit again read more

Terrible experience!! First and last time visiting this place. Service was slow and rude, water glasses were dirty (some with lipstick), and we did not get utensils for our appetizers. The second round of drinks tasted like sugar water, and the carpet smelled horrible. One of the chair cushions even had a dried blood stain. Food was okay, but nothing special. The place was empty; the only good thing was the DJ. Not recommended at all. Do not waste your time or money. They seriously need to improve cleanliness, service, and staff attitude. read more

I went to Sparrow for ladies' night and happy hour, and let me tell you, I felt like I was on Press Your Luck. Big bucks, no whammies--STOP! The happy hour menu was a pleasant surprise; sometimes the options on HH menus are a total flop, but not this time. I ordered sushi, edamame, shrimp tacos, chicken skewers, and egg rolls. (Yes, I was living my best life.) The drink I ordered? So good, I had to get a second one--no regrets! And the views of downtown FTL? Chef's kiss. All they need to do is keep ladies' night on repeat, remix style: "It's ladies' night what, it must be Angie on the mic" . I had the best time catching up with a friend! Came here for a friends birthday and the vibes were great. The views were excellent too. Although there was a mishap in the beginning where our reserved table wasn't ready and our large party was awkwardly standing by the bar. One of the bar backs got visibly frustrated and asked us to step away from their walkway. Thankfully our table was eventually ready so we didn't have to deal with that for too long. Another thing to note is when going with a large group we were not able to split the check. Thankfully there Zelle or Venmo. Either way we had a great time. Food, drinks and our actual server were good. We would go back and check it out again. read more

The Sparrow and the Sparrow Rooftop Bars are just plain gorgeous with their 25th-story views atop the Delmar Hotel overlooking the heart of Fort Lauderdale. And as for décor, one word, "stunning." There are two bars, one indoors and one outdoors with a patio-like setting; Each having great views and an atmosphere of elegance. The bartenders are professional, polite, and mix a good cocktail. The restaurant too is total perfection in décor, seating, and overall atmosphere. It has even won awards as the best rooftop dining in Fort Lauderdale. I started my meal with a dozen that were served perfectly shucked with a tasty Asian Pear Mignonette. For my entrée, I went for their Pan Seared Scallops Sautéed with King Trumpet Mushrooms, Uni cream, and Crispy Shallots. The scallops were perfectly seared and couldn't have paired better than with the uni cream's rich and buttery flavor and creamy texture making it so popular as an ingredient with seafood and other dishes. As Sparrow is so very popular, I advise reservation, and if you want to get a seat at the bars, get there early. With its stunning rooftop views, décor, and excellent food, Sparrow is all the way to five Yelp stars for me. read more

Great place for a night out in the Fort Lauderdale area. The building offers valet so no need to stress about finding a place to park. You are then escorted into an elevator where they take you to the rooftop floor for Sparrows. The views are undeniable gorgeous. Service was prompt and very helpful. Was able to provide useful recommendations if you don't know exactly what you want. I had "Red" as my drink and it was so good I had to order another round. The chicken skewers were so yummy. I didn't want to share with my husband. And if you are a sushi lover like me, the rainbow roll is by far my favorite. Highly recommend. read more

Sparrow: Where the Playlist Soars, But the Service Hits a Few Speed Bumps If early 2000s hits are your love language, then Sparrow might just be your soulmate. From "Scrubs" to Justin Timberlake's "SexyBack," with a sprinkle of Mariah and a dash of Peaches and Cream, the real MVP of the night was the playlist. Honestly, if this restaurant ever drops a Spotify collab, I'll be the first to follow. Now for the not-so-sexy-back part: the service. We were a party of ten and, let's just say, dinner was served like a slow Netflix buffer. First plate came out, cheers! Then... twenty minutes later... the last two entrees finally made their grand debut. After everyone else had finished their meal. It was less "family dinner," more "watch your friends eat while you contemplate life." A little more lighting at the tables would have been nice. We had 2 tea lights for a table of ten. Also, arriving at our reservation time only to be told we couldn't be seated because the server wasn't ready? Bold move, Sparrow. We admired our ready-but-apparently-not-ready table from the bar for a solid 15 minutes. And after we sat down, 1st thing we were asked is if we knew about the minimum fee per person for our group. Ummmm, yes Karen, we do! Asked for a manager. Still waiting--might still be waiting. And guess what? After 90 minutes, still no manager. And forget ever trying to call to speak with anyone. And their email response is mediocre as well. So would I go back? I would have say it would be doubtful. read more

I'm shocked that there have been so many negative reviews, some citing bland food and terrible service. My experience could not be any further from this. I went with my wife and my brother to celebrate his birthday. We ordered a few drinks, which were all perfectly blended concoctions, bursting with layers of flavor and not skimping on the liquor. For a starter, we got the crispy rice with spicy tuna tartare. *Chef's kiss* Absolutely loved it. We then got the NY strip, vegetable fried rice with steak and lobster Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese felt like it was just missing something but the Rice and the NY strip were showstoppers. All around food would get a 9/10 for me. The ambiance was beautiful and captivating. There was a live dj playing a wide variety of music, that was upbeat and calling for a good time without being deafening. What sealed the deal though was the service we got from AMANDA. She was phenomenal. I could tell they were a little short staffed but she bounced seamlessly from table to table without missing a beat, while still making the experience feel very personal. I'll admit, the bill will add up but it was absolutely worth every penny. Will definitely be returning. read more

Located on the rooftop of The Dalmar hotel, Sparrow is such a cool spot in Fort Lauderdale. Took my mom here while she was visiting and it was the perfect night out. *SPEAKEASY SPOILERS AHEAD* I recently visited Sparrow for the second time, and this time it was a surprise birthday date. As someone who loves a good speakeasy, this spot definitely is one of my favorites. From the moment you arrive, you get the full speakeasy magical experience. You check in at the front, and they lead you to a roped-off elevator. The fun part? They unlock a hidden panel inside and hit a secret button to take you up to the rooftop. The ambiance is both sul and intimate, with moody lighting and a neon glow. You can choose to sit outside on the rooftop (be prepared for some wind!) or inside. Either way, the view is incredible from up there! Service was spot on--attentive and friendly, making the whole experience feel seamless. The tapas-style menu was fantastic, and the cocktails were even better. Just a heads-up, they do have a time limit for your stay, but it's well worth it. 10/10 would recommend, and I'll definitely be back! read more

5 star ambience, 4 star food, 3 star service: Knockout view from rooftop bar/restaurant at the Dalmar Hotel, but with just OK food and less than OK service. 5 star ambience: The star of this show is the location, both the rooftop and the South Beach style swanky hotel plus slick neighborhood. There are killer views in every direction and beautiful interior decoration. 4 star food: The food was good but not great. Vietnamese buns were a good start as were Brussels sprouts. Chicken sandwich (oddly called sando on menu) was overcooked and strangely tasteless. Fried rice was just generally OK. Their real problem is the pricing...at this price point the food should be inventive and terrific, not generic and so-so. 3 star service: Dalmar and Sparrow are clearly going for a South Beach vibe, but failed to get the memo that high prices entail high service and enjoyable warmth. The problem starts at the front door: FOUR valets stood at the valet desk watching my friend Fred get out of his car with an obvious handicap, and walk out of his way over to them with a cane...at a first-class hotel, expensive valet parking entails opening the car door and taking the keys from the driver, not standing and modeling. Oh, and you say thank you often, to maximize tips. There is a similar experience on the way up to the restaurant: cold humorless security check and mandatory escort up an elevator. Check-in desk and service in the restaurant were similar: no smiles, no warmth and a general "I'm fabulous that's why I work HERE" vibe. read more
